First, I have to say this spinoff is a bit odd. These take place on Everis with hunter mates. (think Kiel from Cyborg Seduction) They have a mark on their hands, dream share and mate by having sex in all three holes. I can’t say I hated this, but I can say I hated Katie. She was the worst. She supposed to be this tough, former foster kids from the streets, but comes across as a brash, desperate, full of herself and a terrible mate.
The book opens with her sneaking naked into Bryn’s room to force into step 1 of the claiming while he’s asleep. We soon learn he hasn’t claimed her because he has one more mission left, that will probably kill him, and mated couples usually don’t survive the death of a mate. Katie doesn’t agree, so she sneaks aboard his shuttle. (this is all in blurb)
This all happens within the first few chapters, and I was still with her… but then they arrive and she got super annoying. ***SPOILERS*** First, she acts like she knows better than EVERYONE (like she's some crime kingpin) because she as a street kid. This part is super ridiculous. Then she not only flirts, but is actually attracted to Styx and Blade which goes against everything we’ve been told about Everis mates. These chicks are virgins because they only feel attraction for mates even when they haven’t met them yet… but she’s getting tingly with hard nipples?? 🤷♀️ Also, she’s doing it to hurt/jelly Brynn for not claiming her which felt wrong, he was trying to save her life not do her dirty. If all that wasn’t bad enough… then she pushed me to the point of not return when she
Bottom Line- Katie ruined it for me.
** Random connections- There’re some loose ends left on Rouge 5 that will continue to Styx and Blade’s book, Her Rogue Mates.
It was okay. I liked the first one better only because it had more smut. I like the overall concept because it’s so out there, but I dunno, something about the story fell flat. Like it was a little boring? I know right? Maybe I am use to short smutty reads. I just couldn’t get engrossed with it. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t anything special. I think I might try the author’s other series.
I’m just not a fan of the Heroine chasing after the Hero. Gah, how many times can a guy reject you. I like damsels in smutty reads. So maybe it’s a personal taste. I dunno.
Katherine enrolled in the Interstellar Bride program for multiple reasons, the main being she wants a husband and isn't afraid to play the part of vestal virgin to make that happen. Success comes when she reaches Planet Everis and starts dream sharing with Elite Hunter Bryn though he refuses to act on solidifying their relationship. So far he's kept her at arm's length though Katie has a plan to change that.
Sneaking into Bryn's room with the intention of seduction, Katie finds herself on the receiving end of a mind blowing orgasm though she's not one step closer to being claimed as a marked mate. Turns out Bryn is about to embark on an apparent suicide mission for the Seven and doesn't want to bind Katie as his mate unless he returns as marked mates don't survive the death of the other.
Katie makes up her mind to assure Bryn completes his mission alive. How she's going to do that is unknown until she discovers he's going to Hyperion. a place she's very familiar with as it closely remembers her home on Earth.
A girl's gotta do what a girls gotta do even if that includes revealing her true persona to get the job done and her man home safe.

SciFi erotic romance that features the Earth female/alien bride program band wagon theme. I'm not quite at the frustration level of reading these sorts of books .... but I'm getting close. Primary reason is multiple authors are using this theme and it's getting confusing as they each take a different approach thus blurring factoids.
I have a hit/miss appreciation for this author. That being said, this was a total HIT for me as I read into the early hours of the morning to finish it. Adhering to the no spoiler review philosophy I'm hedging my comments because the REASON this book was so good isn't obvious. Repeated inner conflict regarding whether this story should be hetero, bisexual, menage, or multi as I felt multiple characters deserved a shot for a HEA. End of story is that I have to respect the author and her vision of how things would play out .... but... I need to have a talk with the author's muse for future works and relationship dynamics. lol
Bryn & Katie. No question in my mind that this book is such a success because of the Katie character. She's my girl and I can't gush enough about how successful her role in this story was, especially as a foil for Bryn. Sure, I did have problems with certain aspects and core principles but totally thrown out because I do believe that characters need flaws to come across as credible in fictional literature and thus my concerns fell under that.
World building. I'm on record that Hyperion is on my bucket list of wish list new series. On a side note, the author did confirm that she will be creating a new series on Hypersion so win/win. For any potential new reader, my take is this planet is a fusion of SciFi Mad Max & Motorcycle Club (dark/antihero) worlds. I am in lust with that overall concept and will be stalkering the author's site looking for details on release date for Her Rogue Mates..........
Secondary characters. Cue Styx & Blade. For me, this story was almost overshadowed by the Styx character. At times I had thoughts that he deserved Katie more than Bryn did. Problem is Styx is an antihero and thus not lead character material...... or is he (Her Rogue Mates). Additionally, Silver is a kick ass character herself, not to mention Astra, and multiple MULTIPLE other unnamed characters.
Lastly, while I am a big fan of this story (which can be read as a stand alone) I have mixed feelings regarding WHY it was a success. It's only because of the Hyperion moon portion of the story and all things related to those scenes that were the draw for me. That being said I am looking forward to Rogue 5.
I don’t even know where to start with everything I found wrong with this book. Smh.
Katie sucked monkey balls! I didn’t care for her in the Virgins introduction book 1. I found her brash and annoying. While she was still those things in this (her) book she was also manipulative and unrelatable. She repeatedly stated that (1) she was pretending to be a different person to everyone and (2) that she will do (any)things until she gets what she wants. So that made her a LIAR and a USER. Neither of which are character traits that are appealing whether it be in entertainment or reality.
At some point GG tried to give her a sob back story but it was also unrelatable. I liked the woman she mentioned that was still on earth trying to save women from the streets MORE then Katie! You’re either a bad girl trying to make good or just a bad girl faking good. But she kept flip flopping on who she was. She threw herself at not just her Marked Mate but at 2 other dudes supposedly to use them to get revenge! Come On!
Then she continued to say how “hard” she was but when she finally confronted a rogue she failed miserably at taking him down. Smh.
Bryn, on the other hand is likable but disappointing. He is gorgeous and sexy just how GG writes all her men BUT he left me wondering why he was considered more then what he was. The writer kept pushing that he was an Elite Hunter. Basically the best of the best, but he wasn’t! That idiot Marked Mate (Katie) of his sneaked up on him, TWICE! The second time was implied that he didn’t notice her on his ship as a stowaway for DAYS. Are you kidding me?!? Everians have heightened senses and yet twice the lying earth girl snuck up on him. Uh huh. 😑
Oh and the coup de gras was when Bryn was ambushed not only by his target but by like 20 Hyperion’s he just didn’t notice! What?!?
All I’m saying is this book was a disaster and the only saving grace was the lead into the Rogue 5 series and Dani’s story in book 3 of the virgins series. I hope GG is also going to give the earth woman in Katie’s story a book to. I would love to see her with Styx! Lol
This is the only book of GG’s that I’ve read, out of 20 some odd books, that I didn’t like. So nothing against the author or the series, both are great! This was just a hard miss for me.
I understood why the hero (Bryn) put distance between him and the heroine (Katie), but it was honestly bugging me. I was also super uncomfortable and put off by Katie getting with the Bryn when he was asleep and her attraction towards other alien men she meets.
Unfortunately, this is my least favorite Grace Goodwin so far.
I will admit this was not my favorite story. I found Katie an annoying character. She was manipulative, jealous and was very self-motivated. I love Bryn character though so there was some balancing to the story. The premise was unique but a little difficult to follow. Overall it is a good story, I just personally did not care for the main female character. I volunteered to read and review this book.
Meh. Too much touched upon in this story that I lost track multiple times. Thought Katie was pigheaded too many times to be forgiven. Kind of felt like a mismatched pair. It also lost me that he seemed more distracted than he should be and she felt she had to save him(?!). If she could Give herself to another that easily, doesn’t say much for her.
Written in first person, His Virgin Bride is book 2 (although Kindle marks it as book 4, so I am thoroughly confused af🤷♀️) in this spinoff series (from the Interstellar Bride Series) and follows the human bride Katie and her alien mate Elite Hunter Bryn from the planet Everis. Everis processes their brides differently from the rest. Instead of being processed and teleported immediately to their matched mate, they are transported in groups to the Touchstone. The Touchstone is the fortress where unclaimed mates were transported and housed, waiting to be matched and claimed by their mates. Bryn was a hunter who accepted a dangerous mission on Hyperion’s moon base Rogue 5 in place of his good friend Von. He refused to claim Katie until after he returned because he was basically going on a suicide mission and couldn’t do that to Katie; claim her knowing he might die. Katie was having none of it. She snuck into his bed and all but forced the first claiming before he told her why he had been rejecting her. Katie snuck onto his spacecraft and joined him on his mission. What Bryn didn’t know about Katie was her questionable background that involved gangs and survival. Katie helped gain an audience with Styx, one of the rogue leaders, who helped them with their mission. But not before expressing his own interest in Katie. Everything worked out after a couple hurdles, and the two made it back to Everis where they presumably lived happily ever after.
Honestly, I hated everything about this book. Katie walks too fine of a line with Styx and Blade. The messed up thing is that I believe Katie was a better match for them than Harper, who they actually wind up with. Katie and Bryn might have been marked mates, but they had no business being together. 🤷♀️ IMHO
Everians are humanoid, similar in size to humans. What sets them apart from everyone else is their enhanced speed and strength, unfailing instinct for the hunt, strong minds and iron wills, and they are born with a birthmark - their matched mate bearing the exact same mark, their one true mate, and the mark comes alive when they are near, burning like fire when their marked mate is near by. Most Everians can’t conceive unless it is with their one true matched mate. Only one in a hundred are lucky enough to find their marked mate. In order to fully claim a mate, they have to have three types of sex with their mate: oral, anal and vaginal (in that order). Of course, this sacred order seems to only be followed by Everians ON Everis, and not any other time throughout the Interstellar Bride Series.
As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book in particular is very confusing when it comes to the chronological order. This book is either 2 or 4, depending on where you look. Either way, just make sure to read this book BEFORE book 13 in the Interstellar Bride Series “Her Rogue Mates,” because this book references a lot of people and events that took place in that book. You might feel confused and lost otherwise.

I enjoyed this second book in the Interstellar Brides: The Virgins series but can attest that it will read well as a stand-alone and the reader will not feel lost or unable to follow the story. While a group of women came from Earth to become brides in the Interstellar Brides Program, they will dream share with their future mate. In the first book, His Virgin Mate, Lexi and Von will be the first to become mates, with book two bringing Katie and Bryn together not only as mates but something even more sacred, Marked Mates.
Katie never had an easy life on Earth, having drug addict parents, and a brother in an MC gang, she has witnessed the worst of the worst that life could throw her way. How she managed to stay a virgin was pure wit, but in the end, she still ended up in prison, and the option to enter the Interstellar Brides Program is her only chance at happiness, a new beginning, and future.
Bryn is a Hunter, warriors with unique skills and abilities. Just as he is going on a special ops mission, the brides from earth arrive, and he starts dream sharing with Katie. Bryn knows she is his Marked Mate, and he knows the danger of his mission, and the consequences of claiming his mate and then something happening to him, it would be a death sentence to her.
“A Hunter, a sexy-as-hell alien mate, was supposed to find me, seduce me, and claim my body in the sacred order of three. He was supposed to be so drawn to me that he didn’t have a choice, he would need to touch me.”
The plot will have Katie so determined to be with Bryn, knowing he is her Marked Mate, that she will sneak into his quarters and seduce him. While she is able to complete the first level of claiming, he thwarts her plans to go further, knowing he is leaving in mere hours for a dangerous mission. Katie once again is clever and boards his craft to his mission, and shows to be resourceful, if not sometimes foolish, but she will prove herself battle ready, understanding the mindset of the area and military leaders they will encounter. Maybe her street smarts will help keep them both alive.
The story will have Katie along on the mission to hunt down a dangerous and ruthless killer. She is bold and brash, and that doesn’t hurt on this mission. Enter Rogue 5, controlled by dominant Styx, and heavily guarded by his elite soldiers will grant Bryn a three-day pass to hunt, but Katie will remain in Styx compound. She will become a pawn in this life and death game where Styx wants to claim her for himself and his first in command, Blade.
“Gods save us from noble fools who don’t know the rules.”
Bargains are made, the hunt is on, and the prize hangs in the balance. Will Bryn find his target in time and be able to save the woman who is his mate? Will Katie be able to resist the sexy and charismatic Styx and Blade who try to seduce her?
Katie was once again frustrated with her Marked Mate. She had dream shared with him, their palms heated when they were close to each other, all the signs were there! But the Elite Hunter, Bryn, would not make a move on her, not even in their shared dreams. As he slept in the unmated males’ quarters, she approached his bed and stripped. If he wouldn’t claim her, then she would have to claim him! He woke up and tried to tell her that he could not claim her, he was trying to protect her. He was given a mission on Rogue 5 that he had to complete – to kill the merciless assassin, Garvos -- and he likely would not survive.
Approaching Rogue 5, Bryn noticed a malfunction. His ship was indicating a presence that should not be there. He went to make the repair and was stunned to find Katie in his bunk! But this Katie was fearless, confident, ruthless – not the woman he thought he had left behind! A powerful adversary! A fighter! And she was there to save HIM! She had lived in this kind of evil world, and she could navigate in it better than he could ever imagine.
They were taken to Styx, the leader. Styx gave Bryn a choice – he would give 3 days for Bryn to track down and traitorous Garvos. If he was successful, he could choose to have Katie back or the reward on Garvos’ head. It seemed as if Styx might actually prefer Katie! But if Bryn touched her and completed the mating before then, both of them would be killed. Could Bryn capture Garvos, who was an equally skilled Everian Hunter just like Bryn? Would Styx keep his word? Or would he take Katie either way this turned out?
Once again we have been given an intriguing story in the second book of this series. The story line, character development, and writing are top-notch, as always expected with this author’s books. I have no hesitation about recommending the series. The writing is so good that it will keep the readers on the edge of their seats to find out if the dangerous mission can be successfully completed, even though two of the best hunters never returned from earlier attempts to complete it. I received a copy of the book from BookSprout and am voluntarily leaving a review expressing my honest opinion.
Grace Goodwin- His Virgin Bride (Interstellar Brides: The Virgins Book 2)
Grace Goodwin's Interstellar Brides series and its spinoff are all great, hot, exciting reads with a great variety of planets and worlds, a large variety humanoid hot alpha males (all with their different mating rituals) and enjoyable female heroines.
To be truthful I'm not usually a fan of the whole "virgin" heroine but in this book "Katie" is a force to be reckoned with. She a an unfortunate victim of growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, forced to seek protection by joining neighborhood gangs and eventually ending up in prison. Katie decides that signing up for a new life as an Interstellar Bride is a heck of a lot better than being in prison and she really needs a new start in life, a blank slate.
Well "surprise" , Katie discovers that's in outer space there's also wars, bad guys and aliens gangs as well. It's a good thing she is tough, smart and resourceful. Her intended mate, Bryn would rather she stay on planet while he An Evarian Hunter, goes on an extremely dangerous mission. He is delaying a full Claiming because he is uncertain he will come out of this alive. Of course Evarians have a very specific Claiming ritual and leaving Katie partially claimed does not sit right with her. She's not having any of this and is pretty upset she hasn't lost her virginity the first night. So she becomes a stow-away on Bryn's space craft putting them both in uncertain danger.
Katie is a really enjoyable reluctant virgin, she's also funny, witty, sarcastic and really sassy. She takes on the alien worlds by storm. An exciting story with a good amount of 🔥🔥🔥sexy scenes, danger, excitement ,suspense are all integral parts of this sci-fi romance. Within the story we get are introduced to the oh so alpha gorgeous, sexy leader (Styx) and his #2 (Blade)of Rogue 5. This wild new world is called "rogue"for many reasons and happily they will have their story to enjoy very soon.
OK, so I don’t exactly meet the qualifications for the “Virgin Bride Series” but there is still hope… the Interstellar Brides program! Please Scotty… beam me up quick cause these alien dudes are off the charts hot! Yeah, perhaps I’m losing touch with reality but it is totally Grace Goodwin’s fault!
“His Virgin Bride” features fantastic world building, awesome characters (with depth) and enough heat to fry the circuit board on your Kindle! Ms. Goodwin really kicked up the action/adventure aspect with this edition while packing in the heat and heart melting romance. “His Virgin Bride” also teases readers with a glimpse of another new world featuring a fresh supply of hotter than hell alien beasts. The Rouge 5 aliens are purportedly half animal, half civilized and I’m certain just waiting to be tamed (by interstellar brides of course)! I have a feeling this additional world is going to be HUGE along with… ahem, other alien attributes…
Forget about alien abduction romance… and give “begging for it” as a virgin bride a try (did I mention the aliens are hot!?) you’ll be sooooo glad you did!
Disclaimer: No Kindles were seriously harmed while reading this novella. Children 18 and over only!
Disclaimer for the Disclaimer… the term “seriously harmed” is not intended to include: overheating, scorch marks, minor melting or inconsequential fire that can be put out with an extinguisher. Fire retardant gloves highly recommended while reading.

Katie has grown up on the streets. As a daughter of parents who dealt drugs on street corners to feed their habit and a brother who joined a notorious motorcycle gang, she's been through the system and come out the other side. Jaded and determined to break the vicious circle, she becomes an Interstellar Bride and travels to Everis where she finds her fated mate Bryn. Although loving and attentive, Bryn refuses to claim Katie and the feelings of rejection come flooding back and she sets out to seduce her man.
Bryn desires Katie, she IS his fated mate but he's agreed to undertake a job that means travelling to Hyperion, and the last two hunters who went there never returned. He can't claim his mate and never return because he will not submit Katie to the inevitable pain that will result. Katie's stronger than she looks and she sneaks aboard the craft, much to Bryns' dismay but although she thought by coming to Everis she could leave her dark past behind, it might actually be the only hope for both of them to leave Hyperion alive.
What can I say, apart from I LOVED THIS BOOK and indeed, anything this author writes for that matter. Every book is a treat. A strong heroine that is easy to love and one that is prepared to stand up when the going gets tough and be counted. Earthlings are generally believed to be the weakest race in the Coalition Fleet but the Interstellar Brides are out to prove to their men that they are anything but shrinking violets and the males are in awe of their new mates. Katie and Bryn are both written well and likeable, their chemistry sizzles on every page. The story flows easily and the tension gradually builds which makes this book a real page turner. A super read and if you haven't already, you must read all the books in the series.
Katie grew up in a rough part on Earth. Her parents were immature drug addicts and Katie had to steal to survive. Her older brother joined an MC and died for his gang. Katie was arrested and sent to prison when she decided to try Interstellar Brides. When she was told that she had a perfect mate on Everis she re-invented herself to be more normal but she still can't get her mate to claim her. She and Bryn are marked mates but instead of being eager to claim her, Bryn is trying to keep his distance. Finally Katie has enough and takes matters in her own hands ..literally. Bryn wants to claim his mate but he is protecting her by waiting. The leaders of his planet have given him a hunt. He is supposed to find, interrogate and kill a rogue hunter on a backwards planet. Two other hunters have died and Bryn doesn't want Katie to suffer if he fails. When Katie shows up in his room, he can't resist and starts the bonding. The next morning he sneaks out to start his mission but gets a surprise before landing on the planet where is quarry is. Katie has sneaked on board and is determined to watch over Bryn. She shares her past with Bryn and puts her own twist on the mission. Her method succeeds in getting the overlords protection for Bryn's hunt but also brings the overlord's attention to her. Styx is interested in her too and makes a deal with Bryn. Styx will give Bryn protection and information to hunt for three days. If he catches the rogue the reward for capture will go to Styx but if Bryn fails, Styx will claim Katie. This is a great story with lots of twists and turns. I love Katie as the heroine because she is so strong and decisive. I also can't wait for Styx's story. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Twist of Love Grace is wonderful with her Interstellar Bride Series. We are back on the planet Everis and Katie has been dream sharing with her Matched Mate Bryn. He refuses to do anything on a physical level with her. Katie is disenchanted that he does not want her. Kate is a rouch woman on the outside due to her upbringing, with a very kind and soft heart. Disappointment and dejection have be her constant comfort in life. Bryn brings a hope of true love, safety and security. Bryn has one hunting mission left, to bring back a rouge Hunter that murdered one of their own. Refusing the mating claiming call Katie sneaks on board his ship. Off to a wild planet Hyperion Moon Rouge 5. Rouge 5 is ruled and unruly by warlords. One in particular Styx is a mystery. He second in command Blade is just as mysterious. Part of securing Bryn's safety and passage through the sections of Rouge 5 Katie is put up as the prize if Bryn does not return. Negotiations are how Styx decides your fate. Without giving too much I enjoyed the story line and where I see that this can branch off onto another series. There is more than meets the eye with Styx and Blade. It is never a disappointment when reading Grace's work. I do recommend reading in order as there are some characters that is referenced in past series.
I’m really not into stories about virgins they are usually gross with the girls being 16/18 years old. I only went through with this book because I’ve enjoyed all the other series from this author.
Luckily our female protagonist was a little older and very scrappy & street smart. She knows how to take care of herself & was not weak or submissive.
She tried to force her marked mate to claim her but he was ordered to go in a suicidal mission & if he claimed her and died it could kill her too.
She refused to be ignored so she snuck on his ship when he left for his mission & was forced to work with her. Her life growing up with biker gangs may of saved their lives as they went to the pirate planet and “Sticks” and his people run by the same code of honour as the biker gangs.
Sticks the leader his gang I’ve met before in a different book where he met his mate, so I guess I’m out of order as he wasn’t mated yet in this book.
I like Sticks and the storyline was interesting enough. Her hunter mate was captured & she had to play as bate to get the bad guy.
Then she left with her mate & finally fully mated.
The spice was good but I little slow going as he had a job to do… boo. But our girl finally got what she needed!

The last Everian bride story was a little light on action and spent the time to introduce the Everians and the girls taken to Touchstone to find their mates but this one threw you into the deep end very quickly.
This book was a totally fantastic addition to the series and an awesome introduction to the Rogue 5 Legions. Even though the story is about Bryn and Katie the time spent with the new Styx legion characters has opened up a whole new faction in the Interstellar Universe.
The story reads pretty much as a cop and his girl (from the wrong side of the tracks) infiltrating a gang to catch the bad guy. I totally loved the interaction between all the characters and soon wanted to see more of the Styx characters. This story is really fast paced and it only took me a couple of hours to finish it (really couldn't put it down).
READ THIS BOOK NOW!! But be prepared for an agonizing wait for the next book.
I receive review copies from this author but have purchased every single one (they are that good). It is my philosophy that if you like an author you need to support their writing (I just wish they could write faster and take my money quicker).
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved this book I couldn't put it down and I so want to join the interstellar bride program but anyway Katie is a bad arse women and can look after herself growing up in the slums and having to fight to survive and join a gang to be protected but ended up in jail, she was given a choice stay in jail or join the interstellar bride program so she became a bride but on her arrival her fated mate kept push her away he had his reasons but the hurt she felt nearly broke her but she was tuff and would not let him do this to her, so she snuck into his room and took matters into her own hands and mouth and it very enjoyable for both but he still wouldn't claim her he had 1 mission left to do and if he made it he would claim her she just couldn't let him leave without her so she snuck on board. Omg I'm giving away to much . Will Bryn complete his mission and survive and come back to her, what will happen to Katie find out in this book it's a must read you will fall in love with the whole series just as I have. Thanks karen n
The standard Earth girl decides to be an alien bride/employee/translator or what have you. Female leaves Earth because she has few options for employment, marriage or survival. Signs up for the alien bride program and is transported to a distant planet. Like the StarTrek universe, aliens are similar to humans but bigger, stronger, and with unique physical attributes: genre scales, horns, tails, glowing eyes or something. Thanks to pheromones or something, Earth women find them hot rather than monstrous. Lots of dominance behavior results in emotional bonding often with a physical aspect as well. Once the promised mate is found, something separates the two and they have to fight to be together.
This book deviates from the standard in that the male resists the female and her attraction toward him to undertake a mission for his government and keep his best bro from having to leave his new mate.
I find the standard story line unappealing and the particular twists in this book even less so. If you are into domineering males and rough sex play you will find this entertaining.
It was ok but I could not stand Katie. How she was introduced in the previous book I liked her but in this book it seemed like we were given a completely different person. I have to agree with others who have reviewed the book regarding their comments about Katie. I did not like her attitude and her behaviour. The street kid who thinks she is a crime lord genius and so full of herself? However what bothered me the most was she was a marked mate but was having fantasies and the hots for other males. Yeah that did not go well with me and I felt that Bryn deserved a better female as a marked mate then Katie. For someone who never was attracted to guys even hots guys but now she was getting hot and bothered by theses criminals as a marked mate? Overall it was ok but did not like reading the parts with Katie which unfortunately a large part of the book dealt with her and her dealings and attraction to the other males.
I give it a 2.5 but rounded it up to 3 for the star rating since there is no way to give 1/2 stars .
His Virgin Bride by Grace Goodwin is the second installment in the Interstellar Brides: The Virgins Series. Meet Katie, she volunteered to be a bride in the interstellar bride program and was assigned to the planet Everis. She´s to be a mate to an Everis Hunter. And there lies the problem. Her marked mate Bryn refuses to claim her. He´s to go on a dangerous mission. He wants her to stay and be safe. Ha, as if. What we have here is a Alpha male hero, a strong determined heroine and a war of will fight between mates. I Greatly, Greatly enjoyed reading how these two characters clash. How they fight and how they manipulate. I love the Interstellear World by Grace Goodwin so much, I can´t get enough of the stories. The writing is brilliant, the story is great, I love the characters and the words. I can feel the characters emotions in the words. I voluntarily received a arc and this is my honest opinion. I recommend His Virgin Bride and give 5 stars. Thank you so much, Grace Goodwin !
Awesome story and great characters, loved this book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a great story. Katie is a virgin from earth who is the Marked Mate of Bryn an alien who works as a Hunter of criminals. Katie wants to be claimed by her mate but Bryn refuses because he has to go on one final hunt that he is not sure he will return from. Katie is sick of waiting for Bryn to claim her, so she sneaks aboard his shuttle and ends up in a very dangerous part of the galaxy with only Bryn to protect her and he is furious that she stowed away on his shuttle. Grab this book and find out what happens when Bryn and Katie get caught by the leader of the Moon colony Bryn is supposed to hunt a criminal in. Will Bryn be able to keep Katie safe? Or will Katie be claimed by the leader and his second in command? This is an exciting story, great characters and will keep you intrigued to the very end.
This is my first book by this author and I'm glad I had the chance to read it.
Bryn and Katie are marked mates, but Bryn has an assignment before he will truly claim Katie as his marked mate. He wants to save her from the pain of losing a marked mate if possible. Katie sees and feels Bryn's rejections and takes matters into her own hands. She tries to seduce Bryn and he gives into her mouth, but won't go further until he is back from his mission. Katie sneaks on his shuttle and is going to go into battle with him to help him return to her. Can they both survive? Will they return to the Touchstone to finish their mating and claiming?
This book has scandal, lust, love, romance and a hint of BDSM with a HEA. I can't wait to read Styx's story and Blade's. They willpower and strength is intriguing. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This one was interesting. It wasn't a favorite of mine of the Interstellar Bride program. The virgins are different with the way that things work with the matching marks (typically on their palm) and the claiming of the 3 virginities. This one was interesting as well since Kate took the opportunity to completely remake herself and so the information that she has shared about herself is not the life she actually led. Her marked mate has not really been moving things forward and seems to be keeping his distance and it is driving Kate crazy. They are dream sharing but not much besides that and Bryn isn't explaining. It finally comes out that he has one last mission that he needs to complete before claiming Kate. Kate decides to take matters into her own hands and sneaks upon his ship. Once she figures out what is going on she decides to let Bryn know more about her real past and share her knowledge and experience in order to keep him alive and help him get his man. The story was still interesting and enjoyable, just different than I was initially expecting. I did enjoy this one being set on Rogue 5 and interactions with the Styx legion. I am definitely intrigued with the lead into the next one as well and am excited to see where that one leads.
This is part of the Interstellar Brides series. I can be read as a standalone but it is an amazing series even if you aren't a huge sci-fi fan. Bryn knows that he will be sent on a suicide mission soon and can't stand the thought of his true mate to suffer if he is killed. So he tries to ignore the attraction and pull he feels towards her. However, she see it as rejection and takes matters into her own hands.......... I really love this series and His Virgin Bride did not disappoint. The Katie was a bad ass and gave as good as she got. I am so excited to learn more about Sytx. I have a real soft spot for a good bad boy outlaw. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just like the first book in the series, this book has great plot and nice character development for both the H and h and not just some "wham bam thank you mam" kind of sensual story. Good amount of sensuality mixed with sci-fi adventure and action. All in all, the story has substance and sense. It is very much entertaining for me and satisfying at that. Though this is a standalone book, it is best to read the series in order - I would greatly recommend that. Also I hope that the author write a longer and a full length novel soon.

I am in shock that I had to give grace Goodwin’s‘s book a one star review. I was hoping that the more I read the better it got. She crawled into bed with him after he repeatedly denying wanting a physical relationship with her, only for her to sexually assault him while he’s sleeping. What happened to consent? It does go both ways. And then the exhausting repertoire between Of him “I don’t want you I want you I can’t have you but I don’t want anybody else to have you.” Dog in a manger is truly annoying. What happened to one true mate? I’m attracted to Stix but I’m not attracted to Stix. OMG! Just stop
Still loving this series. Katie is from Earth and the streets of hard knocks. Parents dead from drugs, and brother from MC related. Time to start fresh in the Interstellar bride program. Little did she know she would have to use everything she learned on the street to save her mate. Bryn knew he had to go on this last mission, He volunteered before he knew he had a mate, what he had not planned on was his mate stowing away on his ship. Danger everywhere, and a few surprises for everyone. Loved the HEA, can not wait to read the next book.
Everis and the the virginities claimed in the sacred order. Mouth, ass, p. Except with this story we get a stubborn male Hunter who doesn't want to claim his mate until he survives his suicide mission and a female virgin who know what or rather who she wants. Katie and Bryn have a rather interesting adventure with rogues, traitors, torture, and traps. Add to that a female who wants her male at any cost. Let's just say her sly ways gets her a trip over a knee with a red bottom.
