Danger. Suspense. A story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A book that keeps you up all night reading because you just have to see what happens next...
It's what we're all looking for. The type of book that reaches out, grabs you and doesn't let go. Oh, it has its drawbacks. Nothing gets done. No cooking, no cleaning, no laundry. People call your name and you don't even respond. But it's worth it. Because you've found another place. Another world. And just for a little while, you're part of it.
I'm Cat Gilbert, and I write the Taylor Morrison Psychic Thrillers and the Molly McMurray Mysteries. In both series I try to give you, the reader, that experience. Characters you can connect with, a gripping plot chock full of action, danger, and enough twists and turns that even I have a hard time keeping up.
The The Taylor Morrison series centers around Taylor Morrison, a private investigator whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly develops psychic abilities. We're not talking X-Men, comic book, mutant type stuff here. Instead, this is the kind of thing you've always wondered about. Or at least I have. The idea that maybe we aren't utilizing our brains to their fullest. That maybe if we tried hard enough, we could do stuff and if we could, what sort of ramifications that would have.
The Molly McMurray Mysteries is a new series. The main character is, of course, Molly McMurray. There's a psychic 'twist' to this series as well, and his name is Kaegan. Who he is, and the role he plays, I'll leave to you to discover.
Having moved over 32 times, Cat Gilbert now makes her home in Arkansas with her husband and their dog, Clancy. When she's not writing, she spends her time trying to figure out a way to keep the deer from eating her blackberries and fig trees, experimenting with new Paleo recipes, and attempting to convince Clancy that playtime has to wait until she finishes the chapter.

Taylor is surrounded by people who were teammates and friends but are now family. Her reputation is bigger than ever and the team knows she won’t stop trying to save or protect those who need it or that she loves. This story delves into some of those relationships more with the new brother dynamic with Nickolas and Matthew, having Jenny go out in the field, showing Connors power and it’s full potential, someone with power who goes bad, Lars and anew job opportunity, and more. Possible romance or something with Mac and Devon and it has me wondering how that would work for Taylor and Mac if Mac has a relationship or if Taylor has a relationship with Lars? Everyone else has key moments and roles as well, especially the two child geniuses, but those were the standouts for me. This is a great series and I can’t put the books down once I start them.
This book was fantastic, as all of the Taylor Morrison books have been. This book opened right after Taylor saw Lars die. I think the author has to be highly intelligent to have written such a story, with all of the different groups of bad guys to catch. But this book started with heartache and then flowed into an action-packed plan to get justice, even though revenge might feel more satisfying.
Great, fast paced action as with previous books. So relieved that certain evils were dealt with in this book. That also means new paths of action opening up. Can't wait for the next book!
Good characters. Keeps you engaged and sometimes on the edge of your seat. I would recommend the series to anyone who likes a little paranormal with their adventure. I think it important to start at the 1st book in series so as not to be confused by some references.
The end of Jerremy… now they have to start over, building again and looking for new dangers. She has Lars and Rok … The next book will be even better, if that’s possible!! Can’t wait to…
binge reading this series, and have gotten so interested in the series find it hard to stop reading them. The plots move quickly and have enough twists to keep your interest. The books seem to end too soon, but you know the saga continues in the next book.
Enjoying this series. Lots of twists and turns and the characters are believable. Settings and outcomes are interesting. Parts of the book are edge of your seat terrifying.
Really want biscuits after reading these series. I enjoy them greatly! Looking forward to future developments as this group of characters continue to help humanity
If you are looking for something different from the norm. Then this is the one for you. Taylor is gifted and uses her powers to protect the people around her, especially when their lives are put in danger. The book is action packed from beginning to end.
Wow! I loved this book, as I have all of Cat’s books. Taylor is a force, Mac is endlessly supportive, and Lars... ah... I do love Lars! It was a quick read, as I didn’t want to put it down. The whole Taylor Morrison series is highly recommended.
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this book. It was amazing! All the other books in the series are the dominos that set up this book. Loved it! One major quality I like about this book is the anticipation. You sometimes find yourself on the edge of your seat and want to keep on reading. Lots of action and of course lots of room for future books in the series. Keep 'em coming.
