A short and sweet sapphic fantasy story about two girls who become friends and fall in love! It was cute, almost no drama and a little spice mixed in! I would recommend!
It started out great but all through out the story is almost gay hate. The succubus doesn't like women just "one" which would've been fine but it's the same for both grandma's who loved each other enough when they were young to sleep together but it wasn't a "romantic" love just really good gal pals who also end up marrying the same guy and living together and ofc now everything is about him and they don't do anything without him but they aren't gay or attracted to each other they just have sex *eye roll* then there is the cousin mikan who "hates that he is attracted to men" huh? many characters are gay in this story but they all hate that fact and still do gay things but hate themselves and tell themselves they are straight. There is no development behind it either the grandma basically tells her oh it's just a fling I did it too me and your other grandma still do it but we're just gal pals then tells her so don't tell anyone bc it will upset the family... oh and mikan intentionally makes himself weaker bc he hates he likes other men. *Face palm* didn't like this.
This was short and kinda nice fluffy read. I realy liked the blurb it pulled me in, but then it took a little different dirrection than I thought based on the synopsis. I thought it could have been executed better, but for such a short story it was ok. One thing that startled me and creeped me out a little too was the epilogue when she was writing with her grandma and her grandma said: Speaking of which, if you wanna make your demon side stronger, get down on your girlfriend and drink her juices, honey. I get the feeling you’re satisfied being on the bottom because of your demonic side, but you’ll feel something even more amazing being on top sometimes. Do it, honey. Drink your girlfriend’s juices and make Grandma proud. That is a sentence you just don't want to hear from grandmas even if they are succubus :D
TLDR Fine for slice of life brain candy. A little short and inconsistent.
As above, this is a cute, inoffensive story. It's fine for a quick read if bored. My issue with it is that some parts are inconsistent. For example the female lead is the acknowledged "smartest witch" in school and yet the main character knows more about summoning, spiders and Celeste (mana) flow than her... also they refer to gay succubi as "female incubus" which doesn't make sense from a etymological standpoint. Incubus means to lie upon and succubus to lie beneath ...So the only difference is top vs bottom and the MC has thus far proven kinda "herbaceous" (in her dreams at least)
If you like your teen lesbian romances on the sweet, adorable side, then this book is for you. Although the story is light on plot, the angst felt by the two main girls feels real. The will- they or won't- they aspect holds your attention throughout though I do wish we could have spent more time with the girls once the inevitable truth comes out. Still, this is merely book 1 out of 3 so I'll have to read the others to see what happens.
I like this authors work and this is no exception. It's a short and easy read and very cute. I can tell this is an earlier work, the sentences are rather simple and there are some spelling and editing errors here and there, but its a fun read regardless. Comfortable and warm like having a nice cup of hot chocolate. This is a fluffy story full of magic and girl loving gay happy feelings.
I am not great at giving reviews but I really liked this book. Liked'? LoL, I mean LOVED. This book surprised me with a nice and enjoyable plot and some nice sexy scenes as well!
Melinda is a succubus and becomes involved with Jen. There's problems with a guy. A succubus and Melida become more than friends and end up with rather cute familiars.
It's a romance/comedy type of book and is a fun read.
