A new dawn begins in book 8! Welcome to Blair's book!
If someone asked Blair Quinn who her inspirations were, she’d probably name Audrey Hepburn for her poise, Marilyn Monroe’s style, and her cousin Lorena’s grit and bravery. In her mind, no one is braver than Lorena, and she aims to be just like her.
But what she didn’t ask for was all of her cousin’s problems.
And when an explosion sets off what could be considered the New Age Order, Blair’s life quickly consists of hiding from assassins, saving her friends, and fighting back the powers of darkness….

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel this one is necessary. After the third book the sexual experiences became very explicit and seem to take up most of the story line. That I can deal with by skipping over those parts. To each his own. The thing that caused me to decrease my rating is the grammar and typos. I do not believe that any proofreading was done on books 4-8! It is so bad that there were parts that made no sense and I had to read sentences 2 or three times to figure out what was being “said”. I will read the next book and hope that it gets better, if not it will be the last.
So at first I was a bit miffed that we were no longer in the viewpoint of Lorena, but I did not really pay much attention to the title or the color of the lettering. This is Blair's story and it is just as good as Lorena's. I am a bit put off that the spelling errors are becoming more frequent, but the story draws me in so much I am willing to look past it. And that is really a testament to the world that was built by Snow. Blair is coming to terms with her own future and everyone is dealing with the aftermath of the explosion. Daddy dearest, or really the brothers make an appearance and we are only beginning to hear about who they are and what this means for Blair. And the saga continues...
I really enjoy this series. True the lead character is cliche but its fun. It really bothered me that they changed Wei's name to Kai. Super strange and it upsets me every time I see it. Just, why??? Also, I've never seen more errors in books than this series. I think she used one of those programs you talk into and it dictates for you. Which is fine if someone checks it and fixes the errors. It makes it hard to read, but I still rate it very enjoyable.
I'm writing this review before I've finished as I probably won't finish this book. I'm a few pages in and the mistakes have started. Sofia/Sophia makes a potion that makes her hair fall out and regrow again then in the next sentence Sofia/Sophia is immune to every potion and poison. There is so much potential with these books if only they had a good editor.
It's been a while since I read this series; and I'm remembering why I enjoyed it so much. Quite the imagination Samantha has on her. Interesting how she came up with bringing a whole society of vampires into existence. I have a feeling Blair is going to be just as lucky as her cousin when it comes to finding her soulmate(s).
House of Vampires 8: The Book of Blair (The Sons of Vlad Series)
This was interesting! The story of Blair is being told and she is almost as strong as Lorena but in a different way. It is going to be interesting to see just what all Blair is capable of. Whatever it is will be a good story, I am sure! Read this series to find out!
terrible copywriting, she when it suppose to he, him when it suppose to her, missing letters in more than a few words, the story is told through the eyes of a 20 year old an it written just that why. Really poor word checks, proofreader should be fired. It's this way though the last 7 books I've read.
I have so many books to read but I can't stop reading this series. I live very supernatural beings and Samantha Snow does an excellent job telling their stories. Onward to book 9. Is there a recovery program for people addicted to this series?
Don't miss reading Blair's story. She's an incredible woman.
I quit I quit I quit..... I should have been sleep 1.5 hrs ago but now here I am trying to figure wtf is happening in the book wolf of the vampires.... why!!!! Why do you leave me hanging!!!
I'm so digging Blair and the Sea Royalty dynamics as well as all the new characters and mysteries with each new book! Sorry gotta go read the next book in this series!
Blair’s version is great. She puts another spin on things. I wasn’t excited to read this book at first because Lorena was always the hero but now it’s someone else’s turn. I can’t wait to read the others. Moving on to the other now.
House of Vampires 8: The Book Of Blair gives more insight into Blair and her personally. While this book has lots Of energy and action there milder than Lorena's storyline. Things should heat up asc the story progresses.
Blair's life is about as bad as Lorenas. She didn't know she had a brother, now he is trying to kill her.Her love life is the pits but she still has her magic.Got to read the next book.
If you're looking for a long paranormal series then this is a must read. Hot men of a variety of breeds (vampires, werewolves, fae, witches, and hybrids) there's sure to be something for everyone
Just finished reading book 8, and starting book 9. Have not stopped reading, and enjoyed all the surprises. Makes me want to continue reading just to find out.
It just keeps getting better and better. I didn't think I'd like this on due to it shifting focus off the main characters, but let me tell you, it gets harder and harder to put down.
These books all have a good storyline but they need re proof read there are mistakes wrong words talking about characters and calling them the wrong name and other minor mistakes but enough to bother me
Plot is good, but misspelled words were aggravating. Too many in this book of series. It detracts from getting into what characters are trying to portray.
