Happiness Is Free is filled with profound insights and practical tools that will guide you to let go of painful feelings, unwanted thoughts, and negative stories and naturally open up to the happiness and unlimited potential that is within you right now. And it’s easier than you think.

Simple but powerful questions for self-inquiry and effective techniques will empower you to gently let go of what, just a moment ago, seemed like an unsolvable issue or overwhelming emotion—anything from anger and frustration to fear, anxiety, and stress. You’ll learn how to apply easy-to-use practices for letting go—including Holistic Releasing, Triple Welcoming, and others—to find more joy and peace of mind in every area of your life.

In each chapter, renowned teachers Lester Levenson and Hale Dwoskin (New York Times best-selling author of The Sedona Method) offer life-changing opportunities to break free from self-imposed blocks and rediscover the real, unlimited you—and the ultimate happiness that is your birthright.

Their combination of liberating insights, inspiration, and deep releasing explorations make this book a treasured companion for anyone who is seeking to navigate everyday life with greater ease, clarity, and sense of true purpose."One of my most treasured books that changed my life is Lester's Keys to the Ultimate Freedom. It features Lester's words and insights drawn from decades of his teachings, and it is the only book that sits on my bedside table. Unfortunately the book has been out of print for a long time, but Hale Dwoskin has taken all of Lester's teachings from Keys to the Ultimate Freedom and put them in this new book, along with many of the releasing methods from the Sedona Method. You have the best of Lester's teachings and his methods in this one book, and if freedom and joy are what you seek, I couldn't recommend this book more. I used the Sedona Method occasionally over a ten-year period and found enormous benefit from it. Then, when I met my teacher -- who was a student of Lester Levensons -- four years ago, Lester's releasing methods became a crucial part of my everyday life and my awakening." -- From the foreword by Rhonda Byrne, New York Times best-selling author of The Secret and The Greatest Secret

“Happiness is about remembering who you really are, and if you have forgotten, this book is an excellent reminder.” —Deepak Chopra, author of The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success

“If the roots of all suffering are attachments to the external, the roots of true joy are found only within. This book maps the ways to a profound state of peace.” —James Redfield, author of The Celestine Prophecy

“Be set free with the brilliance and insights in this book.” —Mark Victor Hansen, co-creator of the #1 New York Times best-selling series Chicken Soup for the Soul®

I purchased the hard copy of this book (via Amazon), which arrived fast. This book is a good compilation of talks and lectures and anecdotes by Lester Leveson, with commentaries at the end of each session by Hale Dwoskin. The topics for each session (which were recorded live with a small group of participants in the 1960s) are centred on a theme, and themes ranged from spiritual development, to advaita vedanta philosophy (in plain language), to masters and gurus, to psychology and the release of suffering with the aim of finding happiness.

These lectures were delivered before or around the time that Lester was formulating The Sedona Method, therefore the method isn't mentioned much in the lectures, which are far more spiritual in nature and aiming at self-realization and the "I am" or beingness state. Questions and answers are those usual for seekers, and Lester does a good job of answering these questions with reference to his own understanding of spirituality, which aligns very closely with Advaita in the style of Ramana Maharshi (although Ramana Maharshi isn't specificially mentioned-- which I did find a bit odd, since some talks are almost word for word straight out of 'Talks').

Hale's explorations of the topics in each session are well written, and there's some good exercises and releasing enquiries in each of these commentaries or reflections.
I would recommend finding these talks in audio format and listening to Lester directly, as his voice and intonation gives a whole new level to these written sessions in this book. These talks can be found online. This book is also a 'cleaned up' version of the "Keys to the Ultimate" PDF that is floating around the Internet, which was taken from Lesters original talks in the 1960s.

One should keep in mind that the Sedona Method was originally designed for spiritual development purposes as a tool or an aid in dropping tendencies, emotional obstacles and thoughts when on the path, and with a view of making self-inquiry and meditation easier. Later the course tended towards more of a self-improvement type focus, but has returned to a more spiritual focus over the last decade or so. TSM is worth learning and trying out, though bear in mind, that there are gaps in the approach of just using the method as a self-transformation tool, and it may require using other modalities such as body work, shadow work, and spiritual frameworks etc. to fully assist in one's spiritual development or aims towards self-realization.

While I have found some "self-help" books to be, well, helpful, this was not one of them. I thought it was a bunch of mumble jumble. Not my kind of thing at all.

I am a huge fan of Lester Levenson, and he is one of the spiritual teachers I have chosen to follow in modern times. Lester never wrote any books himself, but his students have taken his lectures that were recorded and compiled it into Lester’s first and original book, the keys to ultimate freedom. That version of his book is no longer in print, and whatever copies are available, cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars. In this book, happiness is free, Hale, Lester’s apprentice, who has been given the copyrights to Lester’s work, takes all of the writings that were in The keys to ultimate freedom and compiled them into this book. In this book, you will find all of Lester’s original teachings, plus an expansion of Hale’s current work that comes directly from the Sedona method.

This is another book that I often read from during my morning routine, or whenever I want some insight and to feel connected to a power greater than myself.

The Keys To Ultimate Freedom is very expensive but you don’t need to worry about that- as this book here, Happiness is Free, contains all of Lester’s work from the keys to ultimate freedom.

This is simply a beauty of a book that can be your lifelong companion and guide as you awaken more and more to the nature of your TRUE reality.

This is not for the faint of heart. It's not written to be readable but to share Lester Levinson's message. Most of the text is gathered from live talks.

This book is full of tips and instructions about how to improve one's outlook and living. It is a question and answer format with some background information about Lester Levenson and The Sedona Method. It is about the Laws of Attraction combined with the ability of recognizing and letting go what is holding you back physically and emotionally. I like the ideas about forgiving your self and others in order to move on and live a happier and healthier life. It is best read in smaller 'chunks', practice the visualizations and delve in again when ready. Overall, it isn't a bad book and has a nice message.

I've been a follower and coach of the Law of Attraction principles since 2004. Loved the movie even though I did find it a bit vague but had some great backbone to start understanding the principles. I was excited to receive Ms. Byrne's latest book just out. Received it yesterday. Found it less than adequate. Mostly filled with other's quotes. It felt like there wasn't enough to say without those quotes. Just trying to fill enough space to make a book. Just not a format I enjoyed. Re-read her messages repeated and found it was over my understanding. Even after skipping over what I found quotes trying to strengthen the message. For me, they just weakened them. Maybe someday it will not be over my understanding. I did get the main message of being keenly aware and that awareness wasn't our body or mind. Hopefully, that will sink in. In the meantime, I need to let this go for now. If someone else reads it and "gets it" please share.
