America has entered the war and finds itself fighting on multiple fronts. In the South Pacific carrier battles rage while men kill each other on jungle covered islands. Patton leads US forces in desperate counter attacks to drive back the Germans in England while in Russia fighting intensifies. Follow the trials of tank commanders, fighter pilots and snipers as they try to stay alive in a very different World War Two. Will the might of the USA prevail against Germany and Japan or are the enemy too strong?
I can't put my finger on exactly what feels so different about book three in this series. The first and second novels both flowed fast and easy from one point of view to another. For some reason in the third book the transitions seemed more choppy instead the smooth transitions I was accustomed to. Still a very readable book but a little disappointed it was not the wrap up and end of the series. The more focused logistics efforts in the ATL have put Germany in a much stronger position, yet their efforts have remained failures after the fact. The island of Great Britain was successfully invaded and surrendered but was not occupied in full allowing the allies to establish strong positions in the unoccupied portion of the island.
