It all starts when I hear my uncle talking about some sketchy stuff that may have to do with me. I also think there might be more to Hunter and Jax than they’re letting on, like maybe we’ve met before.
Not that everything is terrible. Hunter and Jax are nice to me, and they’ve brought me into their group. For the first time, I think I might finally have some friends.
But a lot of mystery still surrounds me. And I’m still being blackmailed by someone.
I need to figure out the truth about my past and fast.
Jessica Sorensen is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author from the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.
I really enjoyed the continuation of this story. However, there were several reasons why I didn't give this five stars.
1) I was a little confused about Jax. I just think that Hunter and Raven make a great pair and adding Jax int0 the mix now is a little confusing.
2) There were still some errors within the book; however, this one was better than most from this author.
3) I just felt like this book was too short. I know Jessica Sorensen writes short books, but I really want to see these be a little longer. Maybe combine the books together so I don't have to pay $3.99 for each one.
Other than that, I thought this was well written and I loved the storyline.
I recently read the new book that confused me because there are two series so closely identical. Rereading this series alone, has been great. I love the characters. My only wish is the complete series be together to read. It just always leaves me hanging wishing for the rest.
The writer has definitely improved the story from the last book. It still reads like a mob fanfic found off Wattpad, but now I’m i trigued by the plotline. I wish there were less clichés, but this is definitely an improvement from the last. I am interested to see whats in store for the next book.
I'm enjoying the story so far but as many others have already said, this could easily have been 1 book and not 2. It feels like a dragged out and money making exercise. However, I have also noted and highlighted several errors in spelling, wording etc in the text itself. I'm happy if the author/editors etc. Want to take a look and edit/amend. I'm always happy to give feedback.
In terms of the story the mystery aspect is keeping the suspense going and keeping me reading. I am also enjoying the relationships being built and the possibility of a shared past also. Really intrigued to see how the story pans out.
I'm finding this series unusual and riveting. Waiting for the next book will be awful. In retrospect, I should have waited until I could binge read the whole thing! Very well done
The guys are bringing Raven into their friend group, and it just gets me on my feels. I love that little sis Low is her friend too and seems to really want to be there for Raven even after all the families have put them through
Whilst the first book was extremely slow with almost no plot whatsoever, this one really picked up the pace. The tension between Hunter, Raven and Jax is way too much to bear 😭😭 There are still so many questions and I have no idea how they’re gonna get answered tbh.
There are some annoying typos in the story like when Raven fell to the bridge. Timeline is not carefully maintained, so the flow of the story can be confusing. First book is okay, but the second book starts to deteriorate.
Same writing style, similar situations, very similar set up. Even the same book cover art, which doesn’t reflect the actual characters’ descriptions. Oh, and Ghost Bird’s LFC is Sang SORENSEN… 🙄
This is one of the best books I have read....how the story moves make me feel I am moving with it....there are less chapter in book...I hope in next book writer add more chapter.
I am loving the story so far don't get me wrong. However some of the sentenced do not make sense and you have to reread them and add your own words to them like they're unfinished. So far the mystery of Raven's background is so exciting and I can not wait until it is all unraveled. We are getting little glimpses of it here in there. The story progression is slow, like book one is her first day in high-school and book two is her second day, but the story line keeps you interested by how much detail and flash backs are happening. So far it is only From a 2 person POV, Raven and Hunter. I hope Jax and Zay will be given there POV in the future books as well.
I am extremely intrigued by this series so far! I cannot wait for the next book to release so I can connect more dots and have their mysterious pasts unraveled! Written beautifully and the characters connections are so powerful and genuine. Loved everything about it.
Otherwise I love Jessica Sorensen books always have and will. Only thing is it's hard to keep straight which books are which since she has switched them all around. Is there a complete list?
In my opinion this book was better than the first and I'm really rooting for Jax and Raven! But it's annoying the way J. S doesn't finish some of the series or even give a real ending to the book but I will definetly read (and can't wait for) the next one!
