worst

Started out interesting but fails to follow through. Characters acting stupidly and no explanation of major events. Then inserts of Bunker character seemed forced in the story and last chapter just a reprint of first book in series . Very disappointed

This is a prequel to the series nit a continuance. It doesnt really tell you what happened to the cousins the majority of the story is about. Nor the side woman he helps on the farm. It just kind of does an about face once we have introduced the character Bunker and follows him. I dont like loose ends personally. It was just filling in pages to me.

Beginning a new life.

Wow, I thought this was a fantastic action packed book, and a wonderful (prequel, if you will) to the story of Jack Bunker. He's a wonderful character. All the characters are well written and compelling. A must read action adventure.

Jh review Bunker book 6.

Good background to the character. Makes you think good can preside in an apparent lost soul that was Jack Terrier. Good read and I am still unsure about tess and her brother.

Jack had left his previous associates recently, covering his self indulgent political artwork with bandages on each side of his neck and a long sleeved shirt to cover the tattoos on his back, chest and arms. His hair was short, just growing back in. His previous name had also been left behind with his former life and habits.

Trouble just seems to find Jack, or maybe he goes looking. Whichever, he lands smack dab in the frey again while making his way cross-country, keeping on the move ahead of trouble, leaving it behind until fresh troubles rose up in path. One off-the-cuff statement from a particularly well appointed damsel in distress caught him and gave him his new last name. He is now Jack Bunker - badass itinerant problem solver with playing card sized bandages covering the old tattoos on his neck and a shirt covered the rest. Jack Bunker is born in the Utah back-country spring fresh from his travails. He's not looking for trouble, but it will find him wherever he goes.

Excellent characters and a winding storyline give us a fresh view into Bunker's backstory. Now that I'm finished, I'm going to re-read Bunker: Born to Fight Book 1 Mission Critical Series! And I'm ready for the promised spin-off! Get writing! We're coming for you! And we're hungry!

Prep

This first book introduces some characters, their feelings and the beginnings of the plot. The next book will guide us deeper into the world they are headed for now.
