It has simple strategies and tricks, showing you different openings in chess and the answer of your opponent moves. You should know basic rules and techniques of classic chess (or the way this book talks about it, "slow chess").
Bueno para sus fines. Hay que tomarlo como lo que es, una guía para mejorar resultados en ajedrez rápido. Para jugadores desde principiantes hasta ELO 2100 más o menos
This book does contain some good tips for playing blitz, which I plan to use. But do keep in mind that what the book covers is limited to OTB (over the board) play, and only considers blitz as 5 minutes. Today in 2023, 3 minutes blitz, with or without increments, played online, is quite common. I get it that the book was first published in 1999, with the latest edition in 2020. IMO, what would make this book much better is an updated edition that covers online chess and other time controls.
