In this first-ever Stone Society compilation, you are treated to four stories in one. Revisit characters from past books who need their stories told. We also get to see what Rafael and Kaya are getting up to in Italy.
Ezekiel’s story picks up where we last saw him, at the end of Nikolas. Zeke transitioned thirty years ago, never knowing who his mate was. When he runs into someone from his past, he finally gets that one question answered. Before Zeke can spend time with Stella he was to do the right thing – head to Montana and see his brother Cyrus, the last remaining sibling who didn’t know the truth of their family.
Remy – Thinking his mate and child are dead, Remy has been trying to move forward with his life. When his son, Rain, is rescued, part of Remy’s soul is healed. Finding out his mate’s brother is the traitor responsible for all Remy’s pain, he heads out to find the male and make him pay.
Gabriel – Once known as Vincent Alexander, Gabriel Montague had his life destroyed before he could claim his mate. Used for his DNA, Gabriel lost his humanity and was left for dead. Now he spends his life sitting in a cell in the New Atlanta Penitentiary atoning for his sins. Gabriel never expects to see the sunshine for more than a couple hours a day. He never expects to see his mate again. Gabriel’s story isn’t a happy one, because what’s a Gargoyle without their mate? Isabelle has other ideas for her brother, though.
Rafael & Kaya– This is a brief glimpse into Rafael and Kaya’s life. After the explosion that put Kaya in a coma, Rafael takes his mate, their son, and beloved housekeeper to their Italian villa. Rafe is tired, but he has a mate and son who need him. Will the peaceful countryside be enough to heal Kaya and recharge Rafael? Or will he decide to hand over the Clan to Frey for good?
Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)
Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.
Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.
When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.
Three stories in one. You want a good ugly cry? Get this book. I don't know if I'll ever be the same. Some books you'll never forget. This is one of those for me. Although this is a STANDALONE I suggest read the whole series in order for a better reading experience.
Spectrum (Stone Society # 14) by Faith Gibson. I didn't see this story coming. What the author did was showcase 4 different stories in one book. I loved it. When I think this author can't get any better she gives us this book. We get to not only catch up on most of all our favorite Gargoyles but we get to a closer look at Zeke aka Ezekiel, Remy, Gabriel and Raphael. Each story was good. I laughed, I smiled, I cried and I even got mad. I don't want to give up anything regarding the storyline or premise of each story. It is better if you are just pleasantly surprised. For me this was one of my top books by this author and I have read most of the books she has written. She is in my top 5 of my favorite authors. Her character development is the best and she makes me love each of them especially characters I didn't think I cared about. So looking forward to her next book regarding the Stone Society and even more excited about the next generation. Never can or will get tired of reading about any of them. 5 plus stars for me. The author really knocked it out the park this time.
Spectrum is the inventive way that Faith Gibson was able to add to several of the stories she had previously written in her Stone Society series.
We get to see closure with several individuals and their families and make peace with others. Ezekial, Remy, Gabriel, and Rafeal and Kaya are each provided an extension of Faith’s amazing and creative storytelling, letting us delve in deeper, to feel part of each of these characters’ lives.
There is joy, and even devastating sorrow, as Faith shares insights about our favorite gargoyles.
I have loved this series from the very beginning. And now with this coming to a close, Ms. Gibson has done a wonderful job in closing out this phase. Three books in one! And they're all great. We learn a few secrets that we could only guess at in previous books. There are heartbreaking moments that turn into joy. There is sadness and the reality that life does go on.
I like that Faith kept these stories honest and real (well as real as fantasy can be :-)). Nothing was sugar coated because the situations were so harsh that the conclusions could only have gone down the same road - harsh and real.
Three books in one, what more can you want? I feel this is a companion book for the Stone Society series and to fully enjoy this book you need to read the rest of the series first. With that being said this is a MUST read. You get questions answered as to what happened to some of the lesser but still very important characters. I fell in love and laugh with them, cried real ugly tears while I read parts that shattered me. I love a book that can give me real feels this one did that and then some.
I started the Stone Society series with Rafael, and I waited patiently for each new book since. I liked how the author gave enough angst, excitement, and mystery to keep things interesting (along with some super hot sexy times). After thirteen books, I knew what to expect, and I was satisfied each time with the new couple and the underlying storylines threaded throughout the series. That is why this book is such a disappointment to me. The first, second, and fourth stories are what I've come to expect and enjoy. The third story is not.
1. Zeke & Stella 4 1/2 stars I enjoyed watching these two get together. The spicy scenes are well done, and their HEA satisfying.
2. Remy & Isla 4 1/2 stars The storyline for this couple began in a previous book. The road to their reunion and the reunion itself is interesting, well thought out, and satisfying. They are a passionate, loving couple and a close-knit family.
4. Rafael & Kaya 5 stars I enjoyed catching up with Rafael and Kaya once more. I’ve been curious about how their ordeal was factoring in their lives. I’m glad to get some answers. They continue to be my favorite couple.
3. Gabriel & Rebekah 2 Stars
***Spoilers below***
I have often wondered about Gabriel and wished for his story. I felt like there could be an awesome HEA for him if it were done right. It wasn’t. I knew this would be a hard read; maybe a full-length book would have helped the author restrain herself from doing what she did. I don't know. The author made me love Gabriel and his mate, Rebekah. The strength of their love and devotion for each other was so beautiful. I do so enjoy seeing a love like that. It gives me peace and hope (yes, even though it's fiction) and a little extra strength to face the world. Had I known that this author would kill them both off, I would not have read it. I had no warning, not even a hint. And they didn't even die together. That scenario could have, maybe, been forgivable. But no. Let's get them together, make them love each other to distraction, and then... BAM! Kill the girl off. As if Gabriel hadn't had enough torture and pain in his life, he is left to mourn his mate for a year and a half. And we know how hard that is on a gargoyle. So, let's kill him too, since he is so depressed and tortured by Rebekah's death and has lost his will to live. Why not? Sure! Let's break everyone's heart with this one. I feel betrayed by this author. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it is a well-written betrayal. I had all the feels with this one. It's a shame that I had to feel such betrayal that it overshadowed everything else. This left me with a bad taste in my mouth for this author, and I hate that.
The couples in this made for good short stories. We actually got four couples because a secondary character, who is really a tertiary character for the series, found his mate, as well. The first two are much longer than the third. And the part on Rafael and Kaya was only 8 pages but I read on an 11" Samsung tablet with the smallest font. But the gist of that story could have been taken care of in a single paragraph. It isn't even worth mentioning as a 4th part of the book.
There is only one update in the ongoing struggle with the forces seeking to harm the clan as a whole. And that change wasn't even a current threat. And I don't mean Gabriel/Vincent.
Wow, this was a fantastic surprise. A compilation of 3 stories in one, a little different but it was great to find closure for our characters. These stories were captivating, heart wrenching(need plenty of tissues), funny and so entertaining. You know a story(or stories) is great when you have all these feelings moving through your body within a couple of pages of each other. This author has a wonderful talent of making the characters come to life and feel real. She draws you in with her storytelling and keeps you enthralled with her magic. I love this whole series and these books are no different. Overall a absolutely fantastic read. Love this cover.
Awesome Book with lots of family members and love.
Another awesome book written by Faith Gibson. I loved reading this one because it was of several stories that kept me reading non stop. Each story was believable from the beginning to the ending. I love the way that All the characters from past bios was intertwined in each story. I have read every book in this series and don't want it to end. Great job Faith you are the best author of All time. I would recommend this book and the complete series to everyone who loves great family suspense and twists and turns. Some of the greatest love stories ever.
Spectrum was a great read, it solved quite a few of the cliffhangers that have been dangling for a while, and for that I’m grateful. I absolutely love Zeke’s story. The only one I’m missing now is hunter and Landon’s. Kallisto’s hopeful demise wouldn’t hurt my feelings any either! And hopefully some of the others get mates too, either before or during the next generation would be awesome! Thank you Faith Gibson for all The hard work creating this world!
What a perfect collection of short stories. Besided covering certain couples mentioned in the books it also gives you further insight into all of the Stone Society and their history. There is just so many emotions these books will run you through. Drama, Joy, Bliss, Fear, Heartache, Sadness, Peace and so much more. But most of all it's how real life can catch up to you and tear you apart. I loved it very much, but make sure to have some tissues ready.
i was really upset about what happened with Rebekah and Gaberial that wasn't fair right what fate did to them. and with Zeke it was awesome about his brother and paybacks a bitch when u start shit with a person's mate especially protecting them at all costs. with Renny he had every rt 2 seek revenge and try and find out what happened and find the truth. it's awesome that a really important person got his ass jumped for his stupidity and knocked some sense back to him b4 it was 2 late.
OMG, so many emotions are spread throughout this book. I went through the whole gamut from happiness to tears from love to hate and so much more. The three stories that are told in this book touch more lives than just the three couples. Most of the characters that we know and love are seen or at least talked about. So if you have fallen in love with this world and these people like I have than you must read this book.
I've read all of the Stones stories. Enjoyed every single one. Though Gabriel's story was heartwrentching at the end, it was still heart lifting at the same time. These four stories wrapped up some loose ends for me. Thank you Faith for your creativity. Can't wait to see how the kids do!!!
This book is everything you would expect from Faith Gibson
This book is comprised of four well written short stories about the Stone Society, a group of gargoyles who protect mankind and their lives ones. This book made me laugh and cry. I thoroughly recommend this along with all the previous books in the series.
I laughed and I cried. I found this book to have everything one looks for in a Faith Gibson book. I don't write many reviews. But this one I felt that each character deserved a character reference especially Gabriel. Anyone who is looking for something that has everything then I can recommend Spectrum.
All of the stories were great. Gabriel's broke my heart though. Tessa is still my favorite mate. Always ready for adventure. Gregor by her side. Remy has a great adventure with Rain. Ezekiel meets his wonderful mate. And he gains a brother. Loved Ezekiel's story!! And Cyrus is a really good story too. Can't wait for the next adventure.
I have read every book in this saga and each book being one step alng the way. It is so powerful, the adventure, the love, and the story of family. I cried though during the story of 'Gabriel' . it was so heart wrenching, but also very romantic. I will keep looking for more tid bits to this complicated and romantic family.
This collection of short stories brings a full spectrum of emotions to the reader. We watch Zeke meeting his mate, find out with Remy what happened to his, cry along with the family about Gabriel’s story, and learn the hard lessons along with Rafael.
This book was everything I was not expecting. Each characters story was amazing! Gabriel’s was heartbreaking but brought so much love to the whole book. Probably one of my favorites out of the 14 books!
All stories in this book were tragedies of love and loss. All the stories were well written and interlock with all the other stories. A lot of questions that I had regarding some of the characters were answered. I can't wait for the next book.
This collection contains the joy in finding a mate or two, family treachery across two generations, the joy of mating and loss, and finally Kaya kicking Rafael in the butt.
A lot of loose ends were dealt with in this book. It was brilliant idea, and beautifully written. I loved this book because of that. It was hard to read in spots but worth it in the end. Thank you for this awesome idea for a book.
Loved these snippets. 1 will make you cry and the others will have you going "yeah!". I love this series and every charcter intertwins to have this clan really become a family. Great follow up.
This book... no words! I loved the first 2 stories but Gabriel broke my heart I cried for him and his mate.... but definitely can’t wait to see what the last book in this series has in store for us.
I love the Stone Society. This collection of shorts that gives you a look at characters that have been introduced but not gotten their own book. True to Gibson fashion, you will laugh and cry and get shivers down your spine!
If you've read the Stone Society books then you must read this as well. This book answers the questions you would have asked if you met Faith in person. These shortie books get the heas that you may have been looking for (or mostly hea). Faith...you did good kid!!!
Thank Faith Gibson I have thoroughly enjoyed this series . For anyone looking at starting a good read I would suggest Faith Gibson’s Stone Society- a couple of the books were hard to get into but when you did it is wonderful world to share
