Absolutely beautiful in every way. The art is truly mesmerizing. The story setting will pull at your heartstrings, and you'll wish nothing more for the two of them to be happy together. A definite must read.😍💗
this manga centers around a variation (?) of hanahaki.⋆˚✿˖° it’s actually a REALLY really really interesting concept for a story but too short to be properly flushed out. there are never any real stakes in short mangas. :/ like, imagine the horror of flowers taking root in your skin….
that literally gives me goosebumps and makes me feel itchy. 😫 anything that “embeds” into a person literally gives me full-body goosebumps and makes my scalp itch. i also don’t like the concept of anything spreading.. like fungi, or mold, or a rash. 😬😬 i also have trypophobia. 😬😬😬 so to me this setup is basically a horror story. 😭
it wasn’t uncomfortable to read though! the flowers were honestly drawn so beautifully. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡) both mei & chiaki’s character designs were very pretty!!! there’s nothing special or exciting about their dynamics (i feel like there are a million couples with their age, appearance, and personality differences), but i like that chiaki is a mailman! that’s so quaint.
i recommend this if the premise of a man who has a genetic condition that causes him to grow flowers from his skin sounds fascinating!
I picked this back up after months and had to re-read it to get back into it.
Overall, it's okay. The romance is fine. Nothing too offensive.
The reason why I gave it such a low rating is because of how little happens and how everything feels like it is in its own bubble. There's barely any setting. I couldn't even call this sci-fi or magical realism or anything. It's just a premise with flat characters.
What now!? Huh?! Flower boy personified!? / does this author has something with “conditions”? / that’s called blackmail D: / does he have flowers now?! / cute and healthy
