I love reading nonfiction about Bible prophecy and this book present some topics I did not previously know about. That's interesting! Some of the chapters or sections were hard to follow. But overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
(I intended to post this same review on Amazon because I know reviews help the author, but Amazon is not allowing me to do so. The reason given is because I have not spent enough money on Amazon in the last year. I've never seen this before and have always posted my review on Amazon as well as here. I think that's a disgusting requirement of Amazon.)
In a time of famines, pestilences, wars and natural disasters globally, Perry Stone’s novel “The Final Ciphers and the Return of Christ” draws a parallel between ciphers (scriptural marks) and history as nations and empires that ignored God’s warning suffered His judgement, disappearing into memory of the past. He even points to the United States, a country that was founded on Christian values that has forsaken its Christian principals and appears to be on the road to judgement.
Well- written, based on historical and biblical facts, this is a book that points to “cipher concealing secrets” that are indicating Christ’s return. Perry Stone from years of Biblical and historical study provides prophetic insight for these end times. His book, which you can’t put down until finished is a must read for all believers.
Getting ready The signs of the times are here and the handwriting is on the wall. Perry Stone has given so many parallels of the US to the fallen Roman Empire that we cannot ignore it to our peril. We must be ready for Christ's return at any time.
Once again, Perry Stone knocks it out of the park with a great book! The information in his book should be shared with as many believers (and unbelievers) as possible. This book will open your eyes to things going on around us (most of which people take for granted) but all point to soon return of Jesus!
Timely and much-needed prophecy guide for Last Days believers -- This is an excellent and highly recommended Bible prophecy book by Perry Stone, a Church of God pastor, evangelist, writer, and para-church leader of Perry Stone Ministries. I am not generally a follower of Perry Stone. His style of ministry and Bible interpretation always rubbed me the wrong way. He's been controversial in 2020 due to some accusations about his character and his on-going support for President Donald Trump. However, if any of those things bother you, please do not let that stop you from reading "The Final Ciphers and the Return of Christ," Stone's new prophecy book and one of the best Bible prophecy books I've read in years. It's a tremendous resource with an important message for the Body of Christ -- especially the American Church. I've read a lot of books on Bible prophecy over the last 40 years. I read my first Bible prophecy book in the early 80s. It was due to my study of eschatology that I came to saving faith in Jesus Christ in 1991. During the late 1990s and early 2000s there seemed to be a drought of serious prophetic study, discussion, or preaching in the Church. Most of the prophetic "insights" and new eschatology books were rehashes of prophecy interpretations from the 70s and 80s. I think people were tired of it after the explosive popularity of the "Left Behind" series turned eschatology into little more than apocalyptic science fiction. In the last ten years or so, new voices have emerged that are re-looking at prophecy and events in the Middle East. Times are changing and many prophecies are coming true before our eyes. However, much of the prophetic interpretations of the 70s and 80s have simply not panned out. A new generation of Godly men are seeing prophecy in a new light as we draw closer to the Return of Christ. I started listening to Perry Stone's more recent prophetic messages on YouTube. There was a newfound gravitas I could relate to. And when I saw this book on Amazon, I decided to give it a read. I was not disappointed. And neither will you be. "The Final Ciphers and the Return of Christ" follows a common formula in these books in identifying "ciphers" or scriptural markers in prophecy texts and relating them to historical events. Stone is wise to say these events are types of things that appear at key moments in prophecy as opposed to dogmatically calling a historical event a fulfilment. This was a refreshing take. He looks at the history of nations and empires that were 'judged" by God and came to untimely ends and notes how these ciphers appear in these places as well as in modern times. His theme is that God always warns a people and a nation when they are on the path to judgement. Stone also bravely points out that the United States, a nation normally absent from eschatological interpretations of the 70s and 80s, has crossed many scriptural lines on the path to judgement and is due for a reckoning. This is the theme for the second half of the book and is a much-needed call to repentance for the American Church. As Billy Graham is supposed to have said, “If God doesn't punish America, He'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah." Generally, Stone looks at the state of man's world at the beginning of the 21st Century and sees that "ciphers" are opening in the prophetic realm. It's a well written, well thought out book and gives a thoughtful believer much to meditate on. He certainly makes a persuasive argument for the soon Return of Christ. If eschatology is important to you, I HIGHLY recommend this book. If you are not a Christian but are interested in a well-written book on Christian eschatology, by all means, read this. If you are a Christian but eschatology is absolutely not important to you, I suggest you consider your ways. Blessings, everyone...
Interesting look at various Scriptural accounts and how they relate to world history and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Perry Stone has spent decades studying the Bible and in this book points out how many of these accounts have two fulfillments: an immediate one (usually in the time of the account) and a future fulfillment pointing to the return of Jesus Christ. Using his profound insight and various texts (including some non-canonical books that recount Israel's history and the works of the great historian Josephus) he builds a case for the time of Christ's return and how it is rapidly approaching. While never setting times or dates, he does point out Christ's words on his return (especially from Matthew 24) and how current events are falling in line with the prophecies. With chilling clarity he spends some time pointing out the fall of the Roman Empire and how eerily similar it is to what is occurring in America today. For anyone wondering what on earth is happening in today's world (and most of us are), this is a book that will hopefully make things clearer as they did for me. The last few chapters were startling as he reveals Jesus' words in Matthew 24 about how people would treat each other in the latter days. I had read that verse countless times but it wasn't until I read it in light of today's news that I fully understood what it meant. The time is short.
Perry Stone continues to unlock the scriptures for believers by explaining the prophetic announcements in the Bible of things to come. A must read for believers to understand the prophesy contained in the scriptures so that the believer can fully understand the last days that we are living in.
I personally love all writings of Perry Stone. This book is no exception. The author has done an awesome job exposing the prophecies from the old and New Testament and how it applies to our current times. I learnt a lot from this book and you will too! I highly recommend all to get a copy.
This book shows how history repeats itself. It helped instruct on what we need to expect in these end days and how to prepare ourselves for Jesus' second coming. It was very well documented and well written.
I would recommend this book to all believers and non believers. This book has great insight from a biblical view and worldly view as to what's happening in the world around us!
Biblically based. Thoroughly explained with biblical references. In-depth study of historical time frames and activities in relation to coming events. I am recommending this book to my family and friends.
I totally enjoyed reading. I enjoy Perry Stone. I was surprised at them commonality s between America and Rome . as always Perry points out the unusual circumstances.
