I love reading magical Christmas stories this time of year and Ms. Fairchild sweeps the reader away on a delightful trip on the deck of the cruise ship Serendipity. We meet Dr. Olivia Chasen who is running away from a wedding and former Navy SEAL Commander Jace Morse who is attending a wedding for his friends Lizzie and Red.

Dr. Olivia Chasen is tired of living in her supermodel twin’s shadow. She’s always been the girl who reminded men of their little sister. Men used her to meet her beautiful twin sister. She’s a smart, shy chemist with low self-esteem who meets a man with the same name as her fantasy hero in her new romance novel. All because she sat on Santa’s lap and in a drunken display spilled her heart to a crowd of strangers.

Former Navy SEAL Commander Jace Morse is stunned to hear Olivia’s confession in a public forum and is oddly drawn to the brainy and beautiful doctor. So, with Santa’s encouragement and his best friend’s help, he prepares for one of the most important missions in his life. To convince Olivia he is real and not a fantasy.

Olivia and Jace are good for each other and are destined for much happiness as they work together to overcome obstacles in their lives. Olivia’s drunken escapade on her first night is sad but watching Jace and his Navy Seal brother Duke do a recon on her after her public confession is hilarious. And what can I say about the charming and honorable Jace Morse? The way he handles a heartbreaking situation involving a neglected little boy and an ex-military father who needs intervention is splendid. He’s a noble man who wears the uniform proudly. And a man in dress uniform…uh, hot!!!

As for the wonderful supporting characters such as Santa and his wife, the elderly passengers keeping Jace on his toes to do what’s right, and Jace’s military friends, they are such a pleasant addition. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

This is a sweet and fun romance, but it also contains very powerful moments with very genuine situations that are moving and memorable. If you love Christmas miracles with happy endings, give this book a try.

Thank you to Ms. Fairchild for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES ON A CRUISE SHIP is the first book in THE PERFECT PAIRING series. The cover is playful, as most of the book was. The majority of the book is set on the cruise ship, Serendipity, and having Mr. and Mrs. Claus playing the hosts and matchmakers was an interesting premise. There was definitely magic in the air along with lots of Christmas activities, food, and drink, romance, and love. Olivia needed to get away from home for Christmas, and she thought a Christmas cruise was the answer. She didn’t want to spend time with her supermodel sister and her fiancé, especially since he was Olivia’s boyfriend first. Jace, an ex-Navy SEAL, and some of his previous team are on the cruise since one of them is getting married. I loved the bond between the friends and how Olivia was quickly brought into their fold.

There were senior citizens on the cruise, and they were an interesting bunch. A little bawdy and rowdy, even Santa had trouble keeping one of them in line. There was a lot of sexual innuendoes that had both Jace and Olivia coming out of their shells. I loved their shipboard romance, which was a whirlwind, and how they clicked from the beginning. The descriptions of the ship, as well as the stops they made for excursions, made me feel like I was there. The story had a nice flow to it and held my interest from the first page to the last.

The epilogue was unusual in that it spanned several months after the story ended, but it gave nice closure to the book. There was a happily ever after or two as magic played its part throughout the story. The book ended abruptly but in a cute way, and I know we’ll be back with all the characters in the next book in the series due to the ending.

I look forward to reading it.

Ms. Fairchild is a new author. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship was a fun read. If you’re a fan of light-hearted Christmas romance stories, then this story will suit you down to the ground. It wholeheartedly embraced everything there is to love about the Santa season and had me smiling as I was reading.

Santa & Mrs Clause are along for the trip, as well as a very amusing cast of characters. Many times they were funny enough to have me laughing out loud in parts. Keep an eye out for Grandpa Erwin, as he was my favourite member of the supporting cast. As far as 90-something-year-old wannabe romeos go, he was a lot of fun!

Our main characters, Olivia and Jase, are really great together. I enjoyed both of their personalities and the two of them together worked really well. This isn’t a heavy read where you’re going to have to work through a dense, angst-ridden plot to get to the happily ever after – it is a light, fun story, where you know that the happy end is coming just around the corner.

That’s not to say that Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship doesn’t manage to incorporate a bit of depth into the story along the way though, because it does. I didn’t see it coming, but Parker Fairchild managed to sneak in some surprisingly serious undertones that the main characters were dealing with during the story. Olivia is navigating her way through her battles with a lack of self-confidence, while Jase is also dealing with his own insecurities. And I loved that by the end of the story, we saw Olivia really coming into her own and embracing her inner strength and self-confidence.

So, if you’re looking for a fun Christmas romance novel, Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship is the way go. But learn from my mistake – don’t read it while you’re hungry, unless you want to find yourself with a sudden need to go and find cookies (because the ones in the book sound yummy!!!)…

Thank you to the author, Parker Fairchild, and Goddess Fish Promotions, for my spot on the tour and a copy of this ebook, in exchange for my honest review.

This is a great romantic comedy!

I loved Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship. I loved the characters in the book and became so involved with them that I felt like I was on the cruise, too. Parker Fairchild’s description of the cruise ship and destinations in the Caribbean brought back wonderful memories of my favorite activity - cruising.

So, if you enjoy happy endings, spending time with good people and their friends, and like to cruise, then Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship is the perfect book for you.

Nothing gets you started feeling the holiday spirit like a Christmas story. This was a light, fun holiday romance that was very enjoyable. Olivia is intelligent woman whom happens to be a chemist. She goes on a holiday cruise just to avoid her sister and sister's fiance, whom also happens to be Olivia's ex. Jace, a former Navy SEAL, is on the cruise as well celebrating his friends wedding. When Jace meets Olivia he is totally drawn to her. I just love this story of Olivia and Jace that is full of love, hope and definitely Christmas cookies!!

If you love Hallmark Christmas movies with Elf-style magic, this is probably the book for you. While the story was written well, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Off to a good start, Olivia is an easy character to relate to; she decides a cruise is a better way to spend the holidays after her former love interest gets engaged to her twin sister, the sexy supermodel. Her first day aboard Serendipity, she seems relaxed and ready to enjoy her holiday, but also sad and lonely as she notices all the families and couples aboard the ship.

Everything kind of just takes an unrealistic/unrelatable turn from there. Santa and Mrs. Claus end up dining with her, but they're the real Clauses who share a whole backstory about being from Christmas, Michigan, and running an organic Christmas tree farm; they also spend the off-season in a retirement community in Florida and "play" Santa and Mrs. Claus aboard the Serendipity cruise.

After a few too many drinks at dinner, Olivia is basically transported into a make-believe sounding world of Christmas spirit and cheer, where she instantly falls in love with a man who just so happens to have the same name as the hero in the romance story she's writing. As if that isn't a tall order to fill, the real-life man is an American hero Navy SEAL, Jace, who happens to have dated Olivia's sister and turned HER down after a few dates, which of course, boosts Olivia's flailing self-esteem and confidence in her own romantic prowess. Jace's friends are aboard the cruise, as well, and instantly welcome Olivia into their tight-nit circle as though she's been there all along, completely accepting that the two lovebirds really did fall in love overnight. By the end of the week-long cruise, filled with gingerbread house building and wrapping gifts for orphans, everyone's ready for happily ever after. The book continues beyond that point to give readers a glance at what that looks like for the couple.

It really is a sickly sweet romance story without any sordid love scenes (perfectly PG). It is nice to see Olivia transform from insecure to self-assured, and the other character's supporting roles in that transformation. The older passengers she dined with the first night of the cruise added some humor and sass throughout the story.

Aside from feeling completely unrealistic and a super fast timeline for two people to just fall in love, it was a cute story. I could see my mom, who lives for Hallmark Christmas movies, totally enjoying this book.

I really enjoyed this story, it indeed was a sweet Christmas love story. It had its tender and sweet moments as well as moments where you can laugh and most certainly relate to! I found it was a quick read and everything came together very well by the end, needless to say it was a treat to read!

For me what intrigued me the most was the setting. I do not normally get the enjoyment of reading a Christmas story on a Cruise Ship! So up front that was a delight of a visual to have! Rather than a snowy town it was a different setting, and I really loved that straight off the bat! Also character wise Oliva was wonderful. Kind and down to earth, and she was very relatable for sure. I loved how her story went about, especially when you throw in Jace. They were great characters. I found Olivia wonderful as well as humorous in a good way, and made the story very heart warming with much fun as the pages turned!

The author knew for sure how to weave or should I say bake up a good story for us readers to enjoy and smile with the memories when we completed the book! I loved the story plot. As I have said, it was different, and there was some unexpected plot twists for me that I did not see coming. Jace and Olivia were adorable, and sweet in every which way. I loved how the development between them and the story went about. I really enjoyed this one, I think this is one I will defiantly be reading again in the future!

As I hope I have made clear, this is a high recommendation from me! This is actually a first time read from this author for me, but most certainly will be reading more of their work. I was very intrigued and impressed with this one and the writing. So happy I got the pleasure to read it, its a true delight!

This book was captivating from start to finish. This time of the year, it is normal for me to read stories that remind me of Hallmark movies and have the same premise and similar storylines. This was a breath of fresh air.
Meet Olivia - who had gone through something completely unexpected when she discovered that her boyfriend and her supermodel twin sister were an item. They got engaged, and Olivia wanted to be as far away from them as possible for the holidays - hence, the cruise. Time to step out of her comfort zone. After a few too many drinks, she ends up on Santa's lap telling him that what she wants for Christmas is a fictional character from a book that she is writing. Little does she know that she is speaking to the real Santa - or that her fictional character isn't so imaginary.
Meet Jace, an ex-Navy Seal and the real-life man that Olivia believes she has dreamed up. He is heading to a wedding with his friends but gets a mission from Santa that he cannot pass up. He is charming, funny, kind, and perfect for her in every way. But can he convince her of that before Christmas day?
They both have demons that they are fighting, but they can live happily ever after if they can work through their problems together. I loved the retirement community, Jace's friends, and the playfulness between the two MCs. I am looking forward to more stories like this as the series continues. If you are looking for a heartwarming story that breaks the mold, this is it!

This book was exactly like the title suggested. A lot of Christmas spirit on a cruise ship. The characters have an amazing meet cute. Olivia Chasen, chemist and complete nerd, wanted to get away from the drama that had engulfed her life. She went on a cruise over Christmas and her first night there, she met Santa and Mrs Clause. A few drinks or maybe a lot of drinks later, Olivia is recalling what her dream man would be like and gives a name that actually belongs to a man on the ship. She wakes up the next day thinking that she dreamed everything that happened because there is just no way he could ever be real.
Jace Morse, went on a cruise because his friends were getting married. Little did he know he would meet Santa and Mrs. Clause, who would then direct him to the love of his life. He pursues her and tries not to be to forward with her, thinking she might spook easily. She gives him a run for his money.
This book has a lot of laugh out loud moments. It is a very sweet holiday romance. You don't want to put the book down because you are constantly waiting to see what kind of mischievous things that Olivia will get into. It makes you feel like a little kid again and believing in the Christmas Spirit. All in all I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a light hearted romantically escape.

This book is so full of Christmas magic and wonder. Olivia is so lost and lonely when she steps on the Serendipity cruise and my heart breaks for all that she's been through. When she sits on Santa's lap and begs him for Jace the hero of the novel she's writing, it makes my jaw drop to find out that he is an actual man and he is right there on the cruise! Somehow her heart must have known that he was out there and he was hers and she was his. Seeing how Santa and Mrs. Clause help bring them together to get to know each other and to realize that they belong together made my heart so happy. This book is full of so many laugh out loud and swoon worthy moments and Imogene and Grandpa Erwin are adorable too. I really love the way that Olivia found herself on this cruise and finally gets to step out of her twin sisters shadow and have a fairy tale life.
Jace is even better than the hero of her romance novel and even though he's been through some rough patches in life he's able to pen his heart, cherish her and take a chance on a once in a lifetime love! This is a book I'll read many times over because I absolutely adored it so much!

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairings Series Book 1) by Parker Fairfield is a contemporary romance.

Olivia Chasen, a chemist, and aspiring romance writer, is on a cruise to escape spending Christmas with her lovely twin sister and her new fiancé—ex. Olivia's Her other passengers now believe she's in love with a fictional figure, owing to her lonely, inebriated ramblings on Santa's knee. Jace Morse, a former Navy SEAL, has faced a lot of strange situations throughout his career, but he's never had the honor, pleasure, or privilege of becoming a gorgeous and clever woman's dream hero come to life. While he hasn't met the sultry chemist, he is anxious to learn more about the chemistry that is brewing between them. It'll take more than Christmas cookies and a little help from Mrs. Claus to bring the charming SEAL and the doubting Olivia together; it'll need a whole lot of Christmas magic.

I loved this story and the concept of it as well. I loved every page of it. Every chapter was exciting. This is my first book from this author and I can’t wait to read more.

Olivia is shy, insecure, and tired of living in her twin sister’s shadow (who is a supermodel). After Olivia caught her boyfriend cheating on her with her sister, and they get engaged, she decides to take a cruise for Christmas instead of having to endure it with the new couple and the rest of her family. Jace is taking a cruise with some of his Navy Buddies to go to a wedding. Olivia is a scientist who is also an aspiring novelist, and is writing one about her true love, a man named Jace Morse. At first he seems too good to be true, and they start to fall in love. Olivia finds herself with help of new friends and works on having a better relationship with sister.
I can’t wait until book 2 comes out! I loved this book. It was cute, funny, cheesy, and romantic. If you like Hallmark Christmas movies you will love this book! The only negative thing I can say about this book (and why it’s only 4 stars) is Olivia is too childish, she drove me absolutely crazy! She did seem to have grown up a little by the end of the book, so hopefully the next one will be 5 stars.

I really enjoyed this Christmas romance. It was full of Christmas magic and really got me feeling the spirit of Christmas. The characters are really well written and relatable which brings the story to life.

Olivia has had a rough time in life. After finding out her sister is engaged to her boyfriend Olivia decides spending Christmas with them is a bad idea so she decides to go away on a cruise to get as far away as possible. This cruise was just supposed to be a chance for her to escape and work on her book. Little does she realise that her hero in her book will come to life.

Jace is a Navy SEAL. He's on the cruise going to his friend's wedding. Finding a partner and settling down isn't on his agenda. Until a chance meeting with Santa changes his whole world and helps him meet the girl of his dreams.

Will Olivia belive that her dream man is actually in front of her and real? Can they both embraced the magic of Christmas and accept the gift that Santa has given them, the love of each other?

This was a fun, enjoyable and engaging Christmas romance which really gave me the festive feeling. Olivia decides to go on a cruise to avoid spending Christmas with her twin sister and fiancé, who happens to be Olivia’s ex boyfriend. Olivia is a chemist and budding romance writer and whilst on the cruise she meets her fictional hero character in real life. Jace, a former Navy SEAL Commander is keen to meet Olivia when he discovers he’s her fantasy hero. Olivia is a bit skeptical, but with the help of the other passengers, especially Mrs. Claus and her Christmas cookies and a lot of Christmas magic, hopefully the couple will explore the connection between them. I loved Olivia and Jace and their chemistry really sizzled off the page. The mix of cruise passengers added to the over all feel of life on board and they all brought something to the story. The storyline had me hooked from start to finish and the setting was brought to life by the descriptive narrative. This was a lovely festive romance and it left me feeling in the Christmas spirit.

This is definitely one of the most unique meetings between the hero and heroine I have ever encountered! Jace is a real person, but it's like Olivia knew him already as she is writing about him in her new novel. And here he now is in the flesh. But he definitely existed before the figment of her imagination.

The two of them are brought together by a Santa Claus on the cruise that each of them are on for different reasons. He is there to celebrate a wedding; she is trying to escape a wedding, that of her ex-boyfriend to her identical twin sister. (There are so many feelings about that whole mess! Ugh!) And then speaking of her sister, there's another twist to the story related to that.

Quirky characters, cringeworthy comedic moments, Christmas cookies, a cruise ship, and a little contemporary romance.

Thank you to Goddess Fish and the author for a requested review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Christmas on a cruise. Surrounded by joy and cheer. Sounds perfect…if you had someone. But Olivia just felt empty and alone.

If she could have anything in the world for Christmas, what would it be? That was the question by the cruise-ship Santa on-board. Her wish was for the fictional hero of her romance novel.

I was enjoying the story set-up up until it started taking a strange turn. Seriously what was that whole story from Mrs. Claus and Christmas, Michigan? And how did Jace come into play?

Suddenly things started coming into question with more questions that answers. Some of the things were sounding kind of kooky.

In order for her to get her wish, she needed to believe in the magic of Christmas. But was this the true magic of Christmas or a matchmaking scheme by a cruise-ship employee in a Santa suit?

Overall, the read was nice. The narrative was witty and fairly charming, and, the ultimately, the story brings you into the spirit of Christmas.

Who doesn't love a bit of magic at a Christmastime, or a sweet romance set on the high seas? When the destined couple each separately meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus, they are initially skeptical that the wizened elderly duo are the real deal. Resident Navy Seal Jace Thomas, being the sober one, is the first to believe that the storybook pair are actually the one and only St. and Mrs. Nick. Good thing he is trained in doing recon, as he trails the beautiful Dr. Olivia Chasen around the ship, trying to believe that this captivating woman might be his own prettily wrapped gift. There is a healthy dose of cheesy lines in this romance, as well as many unlikely plot points that wrap up all of the coincidences with a neat bow. You'll need an above average-sized ability to suspend disbelief for this tale to be believable. But, if you are a sucker for a Christmas miracle story, and a heartwarming soulmate happily-ever-after, you may enjoy this whimsical book.

I love Christmas and romance so put the two together and its magical. Olivia’s sister Jane sounds like a real witch. I don’t understand how any sister can one, feel like they are better than their sister and two, steal away that sister’s boyfriend, it makes me so furious. I like how Olivia just said screw it and booked a cruise instead of spending the holiday with her sister and seeing her ex, awkward. The way she meets Jace is so crazy, how did a man that she wrote on paper become real. I felt like their relationship moved too fast in a short amount of time, but that could also be “Santa” working his “Christmas magic” they seem perfect for each other, and I really like seeing Jace in love with Olivia while caring nothing about Jane. The pace of this book is nice and steady. The twist on what happens to Jane is nice, and the issue between Jace and Olivia is fun to watch. I really enjoyed reading this couple’s story.

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship (The Perfect Pairing Series Book 1) by Parker Fairchild

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship is the first book in The Perfect Pairing Series by Parker Fairchild. This is a wonderfully written Christmas Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’ve been in a funk lately and this was just what I needed to restore my spirit. This is a holiday romance that will warm your heart. Plus who doesn’t love a great Christmas story, cookies and a Hot Navy Seal? This is Olivia and Jace's story. She’s going on a cruise to avoid having to spend Christmas with her sister and her fiancé which just happens to be Olivia’s ex. Jace is on the cruise with some of his Seal buddies and they’re going to a wedding . The chemistry between these two are off the charts. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Christmas Cookies On A Cruise Ship is the first book in the Perfect Pairings series by Parker Fairchild.

If you are a fan of super sweet Christmas stories that give you a warm festive feel, this is the book for you.
Forever finding herself in the shadow of her supermodel twin sister, Olivia needs to escape. She finds herself on a cruise ship with some very special guests who are using the spirit of the season to make dreams come true. Jace and Olivia are such a cute pairing but is it too much for them to believe that they are destined to be together? Jace is the perfect guy to mend Olivias bruised heart and show her that she should be in the limelight for a change.
This story has everything you need from a Christmas story. It’s full of love, hope, and a stocking full of Christmas spirit.

I really enjoyed reading this book and it makes me want to decorate for Christmas and turn on the holiday music! The author was able to mix a holiday feel, Christmas magic, and a Caribbean cruise, and make it feel like one amazing vacation. This romantic comedy was filled with fun characters - Olivia who is on the cruise to avoid Christmas with her twin sister and Jace who is a Commander in the Navy and on the cruise for a wedding of his friends. Santa, Mrs Claus, Jace’s friends, and all the elderly friends are so much fun! I felt like I even got to know the waiters because Jace always calls them by name. The description of the cruise ship, the drinks that were consumed, and even the music playing were all so detailed. I smiled, I teared up, and I laughed a lot as I read. This was a wonderful and feel good read that I devoured in one day!

If this book doesn't lift your spirits, I'm not sure your name isn't Scrooge. What more can you ask for in a light-hearted holiday romance?

You have two lonely people on a Christmas Cruise hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Throw in some sibling rivalry, buddies that have your back, lots of cookies, a little Christmas magic and you have an entertaining tale to get you in the holiday mood.

The camaraderie between the Navy Seals is touching. The comedic moments are priceless and made me smile throughout the book.

Overall, I highly recommend this tale of finding love where you least expect it. Did I mention there are unlimited Christmas cookies? That's worth a star right there!

I received a copy of the book for the tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

I enjoyed this Christmas romance story. This is a newer author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for them. This is a well written story that is full of holiday spirit and romance. The characters have great growth throughout the story as well as kept it engaging. They are connectable and have great chemistry together. They pulled me into the story from the beginning. This is a story about Olivia and how she takes a cruise to avoid spending Christmas with her sister. What she doesn’t expect is to meet Navy Seal Jace. What will fate and Mrs. Claus have instore for these two? I enjoyed the Christmas spirit and magic that brings the holiday warmth. This is a great holiday story that I highly recommend.

Christmas Cookie On a Cruise Ship is the first book in the Perfect Pairings series by Parker Fairchild. This is a fun holiday romance- who doesn’t love Christmas and romance, right?
Dr. Olivia Chasen has decided to spend Christmas alone and lonely, rather than have to face her gorgeous twin sister or her sister’s new fiancé, who just happens to be Olivia’s ex. Urg! Awkward much! So, she decides to cruise away from her problems- literally! Things take an interesting turn when Santa turn up and she overshares while being a bit too tipsy. Will the magic of Christmas help her deepest desires come true?
If you love Christmas, romance, quirky characters, and a fun story- then you will definitely want to get your hands on this book asap!

Thank you, Parker Fairchild!

This book is written by a new author to me. I was intrigued first by the cover and then by the title. Who wouldn’t love eating Christmas cookies on a cruise ship? I know that I would. I’m glad I picked this book up to read. It was so funny and romantic and honestly not what I was quite expecting it to be. As someone that has never been on a cruise ship she certainly has me wanting to go on one. Especially during the holidays. It is clean and wholesome so I would recommend reading it with a teenage daughter if you have one and she is into romantic comedy books. I would like to see this made into a Hallmark or Lifetime Channel movie. I can already picture myself cuddled up on the couch with some hot chocolate and my blanket watching it. Highly recommended book by me.

I Love a good Christmas story so as soon as I saw this one, I couldn’t wait to get started. The front cover made the book seem like a fun read and it was. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to other readers. I really liked Olivia, she was such a fun and down to earth characters to read about. She certainly made me laugh a few times during the story. I loved how Olivia and Jace met, the author put a great twist in the story there and made it feel really original! I really enjoyed reading about the both of them as well as the secondary characters who added that extra layer to the story.
Overall, a really fun Christmas read that I really enjoyed!

Christmas Cookies on a Cruise Ship is the first book in The Perfect Pairings Series. If you are needing a bit of romantic, holiday spirit this book just might help. Olivia decides to spend the holidays on a cruise instead of suffering through visiting her sister and her sister's fiance. What happens after having dinner with Santa and Mrs. Claus changes Olivia's life forever.
The story is cute and has a lot of fantasy, but fits the bill for a holiday romance. Imagine a Hallmark movie on a cruise ship. There are fun and quirky characters onboard and they add to the story. This was an unbelievable romance but a great getaway from the day-to-day rush of real life. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
