Are you interested in history, genealogy, true stories of heritage? This is the book for you. Follow my ancestors as they cross the brutal Atlantic from France to emigrate to America. Imagine their fight for survival in order to attain their American Dream. Join with them as they settle in the town of Akron, Ohio where they started a family and livelihood. How did they quickly become entrepreneurs? Now read on and picture the beautiful Koerber mansion sitting on one of the most-desired locations of the Grayhaven Residential Building Project. Grayhaven is known as The Venice of America. Learn how William Koerber attained his fortune to build his 10,000 square foot estate. Feel the pain of his many setbacks and betrayals. Emphathize with his family over his near-death experience of contracting hoof-and-mouth disease and oral cellulitis. Then just as all seemed right with the world and he was on its top, the bottom fell out. There was much turmoil going on in Detroit. Poor decisions were made. They impacted its residents. This situation cast a horrible dark spell over the Grayhaven properties. How could this terrible travesty of justice have happened? How could the Koerber family survive? Open the book and find out! Fascinating story about how an entrepreneur survived the economic challenges faced. There were the typical good and not-so-good days. Interesting twists and important people of history involved.
