Russel Bricklin “Bric” Wahl has decided to dial his manic life down a little. Bric and his buddy John “Rumpy” Rumpendorfer have joined to convert his millions in gold treasure by buying a peaceful and historic mansion and converting it into a luxurious adults-only bed & breakfast with a clothing-optional pool and a staff that makes Nobody’s Inn the perfect Key West hideaway. But a haunted house with three ghosts and a huge, antique, emerald-studded cross from the 1715 Spanish plate fleet wrecks make life at the mansion far from uneventful. Treasure seekers, both legitimate and crooked, old family members, and a few new characters keep things interesting. There’s something different every day at Nobody’s Inn.
I could start by saying the Russians are after Bric, but that wouldn't be a surprise as the Russians are always after Bric. After killing him and Karen off a couple times and getting new identities in the Witness Protection Program, they take off in an RV to see the sights. It isn't safe for them in Key West and even his family thinks Bric is dead. After living life on the water, an RV just isn't going to do it so they "trade" it in for a yacht. This works well until the Russians find them, in spite of the new names. Seems to be a lot of leaks in the CIA. All of the books in this series have been loaded with action and this one is no exception.
Somewhat believable, but sometimes the plot gets lost in what seems like needless detail. There is a great deal of skill displayed that keeps the reader coming back.
