Short and sweet with joyful whimsy. Awkward read at times with the ebook. Probably best with the audiobook given how the practices may sometimes ask you to close your eyes.

Present Time's core message is vaguely reminiscent of Tim Urban's life in weeks calendar or Shi Heng Yi's motivational talks/interviews: you have one life. Every second counts when you decide how to live it. To enjoy life is to be present to who you really are. Given how important a message it is, I'm okay hearing it in an optimistic and casual way.

Does Dennis present groundbreaking research and lengthy citations in Present Time? No. And that's okay. He's living his fulfilment journey just by spreading one of life's greatest lessons with an affordable and quick read. I'm cool with that. I enjoyed his father's poetry at the end too.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
