I could only give this series a 3 star as it just didn't strike me as a series that I wanted to read more of. It was well written and the technical parts, e.g. grammar, spelling, construction, etc. were very well done. I am a fairly fast reader and I did find some parts of the series seemed to drag along while some books ended with just too quick a wrap up. It felt a little like the story notes were all gathered in a pile and line after line of the last chapter had to close off every single character's story without leaving much of an opening for a sequel.
I love these dragon stories! They kept me reading late into the night, sometimes till 5 am. The last story is one I read when the story first came out. I’m glad I got to read it again. Thank you for including it. If you love dragons and dragon stories you need to read this book. There are nine stories and each is a great read. Thank you Patty Jansen.
There is Dragons, wizards, Mages, idiots, and wise ones. Yet there is so much more. This collection will entertain as well as make you think AND WANT MORE.
Different ideas about dragons & their abilities explained through how different peoples interact with them. A great way to begin several different dragon series.
I read them all straight through! They were excellent. Some of the Series I wanted to continue but when I went to Amazon I could only get a sample and that they were not available to buy. My favorite is Dragon wine series. It is a bit to graphic but the story line totally engages.
This book is not about paranormal shifters. It is more like Anne McCaffery's Dragon series but on a individual basis. It has Griffin's who are controlled by the emperor and hates dragons and their riders. He sets out to destroy them.
What I liked was the writing was easy reading. What I didn't like was the abrupt ending. I prefer books that finish . I feel like I have been cheated by not knowing the conclusion. But it was well written!
This collection was nothing but dragon stories. Two of the stories were written by some of my favorite authors. It was nice to meet up with Nellie and go on adventure with an old friend from a previous adventure.
A great selection of firsts. Some really grabbed my interest and others I will come back to another time, but mostly well worth finding new authors to read.
