When Your Ex Invites You To Her Wedding, What Else Is There To Do But Say Yes?

My tattooed ass was never the best son-in-law material.
Too much of a bad boy in me, I guess.

Seeing her family goes as smooth as it can, under the circumstances.
There, I stumble across my ex’s younger brother.
As always, one drink leads to another and he makes a move on me.

My first reaction is to punch him straight in the face.
My second reaction is to consider apologizing.
My third reaction has me questioning who I am.

This guy, who just happened to walk into my life, drives me crazy without even trying.
Should I just let go and allow the unthinkable to happen?

Getting Inked is a standalone Gay Romance with a HEA and NO cheating!

I typically do not read books that take less than 2 hours to read, but I decided to give this one a try because I do like Van Cole. First, let me say, do not judge a book by it’s cover... if I had, I honestly wouldn’t have read the book because - to me - the guy on the front resembles a serial killer... but the book itself, was surprisingly good. I liked the whole premise of your ex-wife’s little brother hitting on you and opening your eyes to a whole new part of yourself storyline. It was well written and I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed that the story was so short because I think the author could have given readers a bit more of the romancing between Brook and Evan but there is a HEA, so I can’t complain too much.

I loved reading about Brooke and Evan. Brooke is a player and a well sought after tattoo artist. He has no ill will towards his Ex and even though he doesn't really want to go to her wedding, he does make the effort to clean up and attend. While there, he reconnects with Evan, his ex's younger brother. Evan is all grown up now and they build a friendship, but Evan wants more. This is a gay for you book and the author did a great job developing Brooke's feelings. The transition was fantastic and I loved Brooke as a character.

This is an introspective look at lost love and found love. From a wedding of his ex wife to the discovery of her grown up brother, we go through Brook's journey of discovery. The story is well paced and well written. I would love to read more by this author. This is a do not miss coming of age with the right kiss of love and introspection.

I tried to put my review on Amazon but I kept getting an error message. The plot and characters both could be developed more, particularly the characters. One feels that there are things missing, even about the 15th birthday party that would add to the book. I would also like the title to be more about what is in the book. That is not to say it is a poor book for reading. Indeed, it is quite plrasurable in some ways.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. What an amazing story, Brook goes to his ex-wife (Clara) wedding and caught up with Ethan Clara's younger brother. Their chemistry is hot and steamy like a rollercoaster, twists, suspense, drama, love and a HEA.

I disliked Brook for at least the first 60%. Aaand so much talking about the sister and with the sister.
I kept hoping for Evan to find someone better.

But I have to say the author had a wonderful way to write a natural change in Brooks's feelings.
I just hoped that we would see more of them together and their connection.
