Life in the hood is generally hard on a day-to-day basis, but it’s even harder when there’s a massive bounty on your head – as Mika and Kane have discovered. With a considerable amount of cash now in their possession, the smart money says that the two should leave town as soon as possible (before someone collects on them) and go some place where no one knows them. Some place where their violent past won’t find them. Some place where they can get a fresh start. Kane, however, refuses to leave without confirming that Jaycee – his partner and best friend – is okay. Unfortunately, Jaycee has completely disappeared. More importantly, trying to find him does little more than constantly expose Mika and Kane to those who view the two as nothing more than a colossal payday, and in no time at all they find themselves running low on resources and options. Help, however, arrives in the form of a most surprising and unexpected ally. But even with the help of someone they think they can trust – and faith in their growing love – is there even the slimmest chance that Mika and Kane will survive?
In the end this storyline was okay... It did move at a pretty fast pace... With all 3 books there was A LOT of unnecessary stuff in here and all the parentheses throughout that was really distracting and pulled away from the storyline... I feel like it was not as bad as far as the parentheses in this book... But it still had lots of unnecessary information... And it repeated so many things as if I didnt just read that which became frustrating... But at least more of the storyline was able to come through... and I was able to connect with the characters more... I think that bringing Shade into this was a good add to the storyline and how things played out... I know that this is the end of the series... I am just curious as to what happened to Mika's cousin and also with Jaycee's mom and the men that she had at the house... So this was just a few things that I feel were incomplete... Kane and Mika became a great team together... They were able to battle their way out of very difficult situations that individually would have been impossible... Then when they added Shade to the mix... It took them to a whole different level... With his help and how they worked together they were able to come out on top... I must say I would really like to see a story about Shade and how he got to where he was in life to this point because his little bit of background that we got and who he was now was pretty interesting...
Mika and Kane are still trying to find out s bounty on their head and where Jaycee is hiding out. The hood is testing them about the 500,000 that someone is willing to pay which they find out it is the cartel! Kane and Mika do some thinking, planning and face the Cartel head on. Along the way they runs into Shade who happens to be Mika’s cousin whom she had not seen in a long time. Lots of shooting, battling out and finally finding out who is behind stealing the cartels dope along with Jaycee. Life is crazy but these two stick together and make things happen!
Suspense, mystery, drama and love all inclusive in the series. I loved it! My heart started beating faster when Kane met with Fidel. I hate Kane's funds are mostly depleted but life goes on. Shade was awesome in this series. He was smart with compassion for family. I enjoyed the vibes Kane and Mika shared; refreshing.
I feel it should be have bit more action with Law went to the warehouse to front Fidel if they going out plastic down some need to be torture of something like for example his best friend the Kane would had went to eat with Mik a a nd Shade taking some of the cartel out or put some of the bad Cole to show him that he mean business
I really enjoyed this book and the characters , Kane and his girl went through hell and high water, Shane saved there life, and he was a little G , am happy she noticed him. Cause only the lord know how much time they had left. I loved how the couple had each other’s back to the very end. Thank you for a good Read on all three books
This was a very good ending. The characters belonged in this book . They were not limited to just selling drugs this was a real love story. I would like to read more about Shade, I like him.
I really enjoyed this series of books. All interesting and full of suspense! I was hooked to see if they made it and how. Really liked Shades character and would love to read a whole book on him.
No matter what come up I'll always have your back, you can definitely rely on me to have your back. Because true love is hard to find, you should be able to recognize love when it comes for you no matter what form it takes accepts it an go with it.
This book got me loving it from beginning to end. The characters play a great part. I love Mika, Kane, and Jaycee. It's never a dull moment in the book. I'm glad that Bounty is off, but I wished they didn't have to work for Bush.
What a read honey. I started on Friday morning and was finished Sunday morning before day. Everyone flowed together beautifully. Ppl running for nothing and then falling in love with the thug she running from! I did learn some new tricks, I hope they work! 😁
I was thinking this cold be over after book 3 but now I want more. I need to know how it works out after he re-enters the game. And who the he'll is Bush?
This was a great way to end a bomb ass series I truly enjoyed Kane and Mika from beginning to end and for them to finally get out of that mess was everything
I liked the story line and I felt like the ending could've been better. Overall a good read. The author did a great job describing the characters and atmopheres.
Kane and Mika have been through hell and can’t seem to catch a break but I have to give it to Mika she’s a ride or die. Without Shade they wouldn’t have made it. Good read Author Nirvana Blaque.
