The Darkest Day

In a flash, an EMP blast disables North America's entire east coast.

When an EMP brings the United States to its knees, Mary must fight to survive amid the terror descending upon the city and rescue her family.

Hide Away

James and Marla Weller are preparing for a relaxing weekend, when an unexpected blackout spreads far beyond their St. Louis suburb and starts a devastating chain reaction. But the disabled power grid was only the beginning of a national nightmare as their vehicles and cell phones won’t function either. A series of building explosions rock downtown, leading to a mandatory evacuation. Amid the chaos, the young couple must make a decision on where to go. A possible solution emerges when a self-proclaimed survivalist offers them refuge in his remote cabin far from the city and away from the chaos. But James and Marla soon discover that survival isn’t as clear as they think, and that escape can lead to dangers all its own.

Mildly entertaining pulp fiction. A guilty pleasure, to be sure. It's like a strange embarrassing distraction. The writer needs a better editor. Other than that, it's an ok book.

EMP Apocalypse

Well written and with plenty of plot twist. New ideas brought forth, like what happens when the prisons lose power and the inmates are free. Again you question how prepared is our government and ourselves. We see the mass hysteria when hurricanes are forecasted. At least with natural disasters you can see the end. This story will make you wonder if there will be an end or a whole new lifestyle starting

It was a great and believable story. This old broad remembers how it was to live without electronics that has made complicated and easy. This makes sense to me. I have even lived without electricity it and it isn't easy. The story was great and you will enjoy it greatly.

Excellent!

I enjoyed this book. It kept me going to the very end. The characters were beliveable, as they moved along their journey. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who might be interested in a good story with twists and turns.

Excitingly ScaryStuff

Two great stories for folks interested in a doomsday sort of genre. Fast moving, sadly plausible & with admirable characters. Made me want to consider having my own prepper supplies safely stocked away. Enjoy!

An okay story.

It was very nicely written but this story was just not compelling enough for me. Okay characters. Writing style was okay.

Hero was an idiot and should not have survived !!!

Your hero James made every wrong decision that he could and didn't deserve to survive. But basic story was good.

I’m not really sure where people thing these books are amazing and wonderful. Interesting yes. I was really getting into the first book and it kind of abruptly ended. I thought we’ll they will finish it in book 2. Nope. Neither book got a great ending and it just didn’t feel like the author had planned the book out. It seemed like it was written from start to finish and no real map.

Great detail but there are others out there that are more worth the time

Interesting stories, at least enough to keep me reading to the end.

But evidently proofreading is among the many services lost in an EMP attack. And my goodness -- Deus is ALL OVER this machina.
