The Calling: A Third Novel

Rate this book
Emily's marriage is struggling. She knows that one of the problems is her new position as director of the Woodland Wellness Clinic, but she also knows that she is called by God to do the work in front of her. When the Holy Spirit starts to prick her heart about the secrets she's been keeping, she fears that her marriage might fall apart.

Greg was raised in a home with strong beliefs in the traditional roles of women. He is frustrated with his wife's new leadership position and how much time it takes away from him. He misses her undivided attention and is sure that this is the last thing he signed up for.

Will the Greg and Emily be able to cross the barriers that divide them or will Emily's secret be the weight that crushes their love?

This final book in the Novel Series dives into the topic of marriage as the safest place for love and the trials and conflict that it often brings. Truly "becoming one" is hard work, but it is the most rewarding work that we are given on this earth. "It is not good for man to be alone." I pray that as you read my words, you find fresh perspective for all your relationships, but especially the one with Jesus.

Candace Roberts is a happily married mother to two biological sons and three adopted Chinese daughters. She writes out of her experience with physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual brokenness and God's faithfulness and healing along the way. Her desire is to use what the Holy Spirit has taught her to help others heal. Along with this, she has a passion to mobilize Christians on the mission that God created for them.

Candace enjoys writing fiction and incorporating lessons into engaging stories, but she simultaneously is on a mission to contribute to the growth of other Christians through Bible Study and Christian Living curriculum. She is the creator of the online course "Resource Your Health, Change Your Life" and is also a wellness coach. Her works may vary, but her message never changes. Jesus is and has every Answer...practically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically.

When she isn't writing, developing courses, or coaching, Candace can be found spending time with her husband and her children or working on a project around the house. She never seems to tire of being home or of peace and quiet when she can get it.
