I wanted to like this book, but it’s hard to do when you feel like you need to pull out a red pencil and start making corrections. There were so many problems, such as:“With a place of her own, she’d felt unmoored, adrift in life.” (Shouldn’t the word be ‘without’ rather than ‘with’?)

My “teacher hat” came out too often. When the subject of the sentence is plural, the predicate should also be plural. Please, please, please find a better proofreader! And a thesaurus would be beneficial. The word “sparkle” is way overused!

"Life is a risk worth taking."

The question becomes whether you can live up to the risks life sends in your direction? Ivy has been widowed two years and run the Seabreeze Inn for a while now, building it's reputation slowly. Now, with both sister Shelly engaged to Mitch and she to Bennett will the risk for new life overwhelm her?

Then, the Momzilla of a very timid bride to be drops into the Seabreeze, paying handsomely for the privilege of marrying her only daughter. As the requirements grow, the daughter turns to Ivy for support and the risks she takes help the Bay sisters; actually the whole Bay family come together for new beginnings and tearful farewells.

This story will continue as long as love and commitment do. I love that these characters reflect life in all it's pasts and presents, bad and good, old and young. Jan Moran writes real people into believable storylines which is why I've been reading her since I first heard about her reading "Scent of Triumph" .
Highly Recommended 5/5

Incredibly frustrating. I really want to like Ivy, but Shelly is the best character. Ivy is neurotic and annoying. Just make a decision and move on. Stop overthinking everything and out your big girl panties on! I really hope Bennett leaves her and finds someone who appreciates everything he is offering.

Seabreeze Wedding, Book 5 of the Seabreeze Summer Beach series, was a fun way to start the Summer. Same Summer Beach characters Ivy and Shelly now engaged to town business owner Mitch from Java Beach and Bennett the Mayor. Ivy and Shelly’s parents are getting ready to sail their yacht on a 6 month journey and hoping Shelly can marry prior to their departure. There is the expected Inn drama and community drama, led by Darla, taking sides on either the Sisters or the Men’s side. Thankfully this was minimal as it was pretty silly. The story was fun and a great escape at the end of a long work day and always promises weekend relaxation. Looking forward to Book 6.

This series just got that much better. Wonderful weddings, more surprises from Amelia, Mitch's secret fears, Ivy's doubts, and the love and support of family and friends. Ivy and Bennett are in their mid to late 40s. Shelly is 38, and Mitch is younger than her.

So much is about Mitch and Shelly: Mitch's unwillingness to pick a wedding date, town gossips, Darla, and Shelly's past hurt. Ivy has her doubts about Bennett. Their parents are planning their voyage, a lifelong dream. So much of this felt realistic, hopeful, and frustrating. No easy answers. The author manages to keep the characters' humanity while examining their fears and doubts.

The love was palpable between Ivy and Bennett with this book being more about their romance than previous ones. This is a mature love with loss, grief, hurt, and betrayal that finds a way to shine with respect, heartfelt gratitude, and slow burn romance. A delay to their plans turns into a beautiful, unexpected, heartwarming moment.

A further discovery in Amelia's home leaves more to be discovered as well as the perfect gift.

Then there was their first wedding coordinator gig that went awry. I love that the sisters were able to work together on Rachel and Topper's wedding. Then there was Eleanor AKA Momzilla.

How everything came together in the end was everything. Well done! I cannot wait for book 6!

Note: I received a Book Funnel advance reader copy. I loved it so much I ordered the paperback!

Reading this book made me realize that this is a series I don’t ever want to end. I want to be able to sit back and watch these characters interact forever. This latest installment, finds Shelly and Mitch, and Ivy and Bennett engaged. But no dates have been set.

Meanwhile, a wealthy socialite is knocking on the door of the Seabreeze Inn, planning to put on a blockbuster wedding for her daughter. She brings a degree of tension and bustling activity to the inn as they rush to prepare. Shelly is up for creating gorgeous floral displays, and Ivy set to work, with Poppy’s help, to get everything else organized. She calls in assistance from various other businesses in town. Bennet and Mitch are always prepared to lend a hand, but something seems off with Mitch, which makes Shelly worry. It’s anyone’s guess how everything will work out. And if that’s not enough, Carlotta and Sterling are just about ready to head off to sail their way around the globe.

There are some surprises in store. Unexpected things happen, but in the end, you’ll be smiling. I know that I was.

Another great installment in this series, which I highly recommend. I can’t wait for the next book to engross myself in more happenings in Summer Beach.

I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series—love series books and have given all at least a 4* review until this #5.

The only reason for that is the excessively redundant (throughout the whole book) background needed to make sure each book was a stand alone story. IF you have a need to do that, stop punishing the series readers & just do an upfront synopsis of the history of the relationships in prior books (suggesting a newbie start with the first book)—a chapter all its own, that we can skip if we already know it. I found myself angry and just scanning for the next page that picked up the current story.

I am not looking forward to more of the same in the last book #6 in the series. Spare your loyal readers, have an introductory chapter for people who don’t care enough to read the whole series. Or be a better marketer & suggest in the front of each book that they start with Book #1 to get the greatest enjoyment out of the series—you will find yourself selling more 6 book series than singles.

A bit preachy

I enjoyed the first few books in this series, but it seems to be getting very preachy. And although I don’t want a lot of “sex” scenes, the relationships seem a bit unrealistic.

The Inn continues to have it's mysteries

Seabreeze Wedding is the fifth book in the Summer Beach series and I found it to be another wonderful book by Jan Moran and a great addition to this continuing series and the Seabreeze world. This is a very clean romance and sometimes I just need that and this author can always deliver. I enjoy how Ivy continues in her journey after inheriting the old house when her husband dies and then goes about renovating and running it. She now has her sister Shelly there to help. As the wedding season is about to start and they are finding more things about the Inn that they had not known. As the ladies are not both engaged there are some questions
This is a nicely written and enjoyable story with characters that are still fun and sweet. If there is one thing that I find unrealistic is that the story is "too clean". I mean Ivy, Shelly and their men are all in the forties. So I would expect a bit more happening, it doesn't have to be full contact but something would work well in the story.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I'm enjoying this romantic beach-read series. There's a little bit of continuing mystery with what Amelia has stashed away in the old house. It's been fun following the entire Bay family. It was pretty predictable with what was going to happen in this one, but sometimes I need to read some light-hearted stories.

Another book in the series I couldn't put down!

A continuation of the Summer Beach series! Ivy and her sister are determined to make a huge old house, located in Summer Beach, CA, a quaint little town on the coast of southern CA, into a destination success. While updating the old home she inherited after her husband died, she discovers that its original owners hid many secrets in their house. As the sisters try to make the old home into a thriving business, including as a wedding venue, they discover hidden rooms, art, and try to piece all the discoveries together and find out the stories hidden in the house! Jan Moran weaves characters so well that you almost feel like you personally know each and everyone! These are delightful books and ones I can't put down!

The Bay sisters suddenly find themselves a subject of controversy and bets, as town members bet on who might make it to the altar first - and share negative remarks about how the "outsiders" swooped up two of the available bachelors

Mitch has some personal baggage from his past to sort - will it worry Shelly?

Ivy is feeling more than a little hesitant to marry again, though Bennett is the only one she can imagine herself marrying.

Will Ivy wait too long? Bennett has said slow was okay with him- not ling before he proposed. Could it be that someone fascinating and ready to wed now might capture and hold his attention?

A momzilla makes wedding prep nightmarish.

Can the Bay sisters, their vendors, friends and family survive turning their historic locale into a wedding venue? Great to see some of the other folks in town pop up in the mayhem.

Much ado with more ahead!

Ivy and Shelly are going into the wedding business and they have their hands full at the Seabreeze Inn. The young couple is lovely, but the bride’s mother has become a Momzilla. Ivy and Shelly are also both planning their own weddings, but a someone is getting cold feet. Along with their parents leaving for a worldwide tour and another treasure of Amelia’s being found, things are busy for the Bay family. Can they tame Momzilla in time for the nuptials?
I am such a huge fan of Jan Moran and I adore this series she has written so beautifully. I love reading how the characters are developing in their lives and how life is not always easy for them. The series is about family, new relationships, friendship and finding your way through them all. The main characters are brilliantly written, and the supporting characters are always good for a chuckle or two. It is like going home again and catching up with a family you love. Jan Moran fills in the back stories of each character along the way, so if you are reading this as a stand a lone novel, you will catch right up. Trust me though, you will want to start at the beginning and go on the journey with them. Thank you so much to Jan Moran for an advanced reader copy. All the opinions written are entirely my own.

Another beautifully written story by Jan Moran. I really love her books. They are fun and heartwarming tales with characters you feel right at home with. I have read all her books, and none have disappointed me.

In this fifth installment in the series, sisters Ivy and Shelly are planning a wedding at the Seabreeze Inn. The bride is sweet but Mom? Complete Momzilla!! All this while Ivy and Shelly have wedding plans of their own.

I have loved the evolution of the characters as the series has progressed. In this installment, I enjoyed a deeper look into Bennett and Mitch’s friendship as Mitch confronts his past. Couples Ivy and Bennett and Shelly and Mitch hit some rocky patches in their relationships. So will there be a wedding for either of them? And the mysterious Amelia Erickson, former owner of the house, has yet another surprise for Ivy and Shelly. At the core of all her books is a strong, close-knit family. In this installment, Ivy and Shelley’s family come together as their parents prepare to depart on their dream of a lifetime adventure.

I highly recommend this fun, heartfelt series. I look forward to more in this series.

This is book five in The Summer Beach Series and it continues Ivy, Shelly and the crew in Seabreeze Inn and there story. There is a lot going on as Ivy's parents are going on a around the world sailing trip and as they are such a close knit family it is going to be so difficult without them being around. After being asked to cater for a wedding it would be a very busy time for them all and hopefully everything will go well. More treasures are found and the excitement grows but what will happen next and will Shelly and Mitch still get married and what will happen between Ivy and Bennett, so as the pressure grows what will the future hold for them all. I absolutely love this series so much with all the twists and turns along with emotional situations and I couldn't put this book down as it keeps you on your toes with everything that is going on and it was a real page turner and so addictive. Jan Moran is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention right from the first page until the last and I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Sisters Ivy and Shelly are hosting their first wedding at the Seabreeze Inn and not far from their minds is their upcoming weddings. But Shelly thinks Mitch is distancing himself and she is afraid he doesn’t want to get married. Ivy has no doubts about Bennett’s feelings, it’s hers that she is not sure about.
As the preparations continue for the wedding, Ivy and Shelly are having to contend with the Mozilla of the Bride. Plus their parents are preparing for their sailing voyage.
It seems almost too much, but through it all the sisters relationship continues to strengthen.
The author Jan Moran has written a book with kindness, chaos, mystery but most of all, about great characters that come together for the love of the Seabreeze Inn. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. The review and comments are my unbiased opinion.

I adore this series and the author. Ms. Moran writes wonderful characters that you feel like you really know. Her books are always entertaining and heartfelt. This series is very light and feelgood. The characters of the Bay sisters and extended family along with the residents of Summer Beach are great. There are some eccentric codgers along with hippie surfers and just regular everyday folks and they all seem to live and work well together. In this one we have a little bit of small town pettiness which every place has but they all come together when needed too. This was a very romantic book too with multiple romances at various stages. Looking forward to more of the Bay sisters and hoping to see the family expand even more.

Ivy and Shelly Bay are still learning a lot of things about the inn, and they are learning a lot about themselves too. They are both engaged, but the past sometimes causes doubts about the now.
A series of events happen that sometimes makes them feel like they are on the right path and have made the right choices, but the same events can also show them why rush into things, take more time, and the brain gives them mixed messages. Sometimes, like most of us, they make life complicated.
It is a time of discovering who they are now, deciding the direction of the inn, and their friends, family, and guest of the inn, coming together. This book continues the series so nicely, it answers some questions, but it also leaves us with an opening for another book in the series.

A lovely summery read to take us away from our awful weather in UK and travel restrictions to sunnier climes.

The sisters Ivy and Shelly are working hard to prepare for the wedding of Rachel at the Inn, but unfortunately things dont go exactly to the original plan thanks to her overbearing mother!

However, after Mitch, Shelly's boyfriend has had some counselling and addressed some outstanding issues, there is a happy ending. I cannot wait for the next one which must see Ivy and Bennett tie the knot.

I am grateful for receiving an Arc in exchange for an.honest review and hope this fits the bill.

Thank you.

This book is a combination of sweetness, drama (oh, the drama), history, mystery, and of course, love (it does after all, have wedding in the title). Like the other books in the series, the characters have some interesting, and sometimes, intense relationships. There are lots of things happening at the Seabreeze Inn. Luckily, Ivy and Shelly have family who can pitch in and help when things go awry.

Ivy’s hesitation about the mayor seems a little excessive, but she eventually is able to make a decision. Shelly, too, is struggling with questions about her relationship with Mitch, and they are both worried about Carlotta and Sterling.

This is the perfect summer beach read. There are so many different elements in this book that come together in a satisfying conclusion.

Seabreeze Wedding is a great story! Loved catching up with Bennett, Ivy, Mitch, Shelly and the rest of the Summer Beach clan. The story follows Bennett and Ivy and Mitch and Shelly's decision on whether to start planning their wedding. Someone gets married but you will have to read to find out who. I can't wait for the next adventure in Summer Beach!!!

I absolutely love this series!

You can count on a treasure being found in each book. This adds to the mystery of Amelia Ericson and this book is only adding to it all. There is something magical about the way things always work out for Ivy and Shelly and this book just left me feeling hopeful and happy. I will continue to read these as long as there are treasures to find and I am anxiously waiting for the next installment.

Wedding and More on the Beach
This fun episode puts several things to rest in the series, but starts up new topics, too. Chaos reigns when the Inn does its first wedding. Many of the characters have life-affirming moments. Many of the characters find it easier to make personal decisions after watching others live their lives. This is a moving story that left me wanting the next episode. This book five in the series and the journey continues for Ivy, Shelly and the crew at the Seabreeze Inn. There are some interesting characters staying at the inn during the book. There is a lot going on with family with the possibilities of two weddings and the parents sailing around the world. What kind of mystery or trouble will the girls uncover this time around? How will it effect their lives?

I love how far Ivy and Shelly have come in making the Seabreeze Inn their home and business. So happy to see that this series will continue! A great read!
