Have you lost your identity in the busyness of life? In her latest book, Living 40 Days to Get Back to You, #1 bestselling author Christy Wright guides women on a 40-day journey back to who they were created to be. As an in-demand speaker, Christy connects with and challenges thousands of women every year in the areas of faith, personal development and business. I don’t know who I am anymore.” In Living True, Christy walks readers through four sections that will help them Who God Is — 10 Attributes of God Who You Are — 10 Things God Says About You Where You Are — 10 Seasons of Life Where You Are Going — 10 Reasons to Be Hopeful After reading Living True, readers will find grace in their current season and confidence to step into who they were created to be.
This little 40 day devotional packs a punch! It's clear, concise, and well-organized. I love Christy's down-to-earth voice, but she also brings a depth of faith and encouragement for women that is uplifting.
The book is divided into 4 sections that scaffold and build on one another. Each section builds a firm foundation on truth that reminds us to ground ourselves in God's word and what He says. I love the constant reminder to come back to truth, always back to truth. The middle two sections were my favorite.
A delicate blend of scripture and personal antidotes, the book is structured in such a way that I honestly think for any woman of faith, whether she's struggling or not, could benefit from these devotions that speak to the heart. Christy leads us to a strong grounding in who God is and who we are in Him.
Christy is warm, welcoming, and poignant. Well timed. I highly recommend this one! And intend to go back through it in the future for sure.
If you listen to Christy Wright's podcast, you know that her Christian faith is a strong part of her life. In Living True, Christy leads the reader through 40 days of devotions aimed at rediscovering who God is and who you are. These devotions are easy to read and understand. Each devotion ends with a few journal questions to help apply the message to the reader's own life and experience and a prayer.
I would definitely recommend for the woman who would like a devotional study to help reset her focus and renew (or strengthen) her relationship with God.
I really enjoyed this book. It's any easy read devotional. If you're struggling with your identity(specifically for me as a SAHM), and not feeling like yourself, or what you should be doing with your life I high recommend taking 40 days to reconnect with yourself and God. I read this for Lent and got a little behind, so I actually finished on Easter. Even though I was behind, there were some absolutely perfect readings for some things I was going through towards the end of Lent.
I'm keeping this one on the bookshelf because I know this book will help me in the future to recenter on what's truly important in my life.
Christy Wright is a gifted author and speaker and I got so much more from this book than I expected. It is divided into four sections: Who God Is, Who You Are, Where You Are, and Where You're Going. Each day's reading is 4-5 pages, including scripture, a key thought, reflection questions, and a prayer prompt. I would encourage you to grab a journal and spend a few minutes journaling the answers to the reflection questions. I also enjoyed writing out the scripture for each day.
I found that this was the perfect length for busy mornings and the content stayed with me throughout the day
If you are looking for a great devotional, I highly recommend this 40-day devotional.
This daily devotional is a must read for anyone seeking to grow in their faith and establish a stronger relationship with God. It’s relatable and simply put. Reading this book daily really brought me closer to God and helped focus more on my faith rather than get caught up in my daily struggles. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this devotions. I am a fan of Christy's already so I loved getting to hear more of her stories and background. I felt like this is a great devotion for a new believer or one that just wants to slow down and reconnect with God.
Absolutely wonderful devotional! The devotional date relational, applicable, inspiring, and characteristic of Christy’s down to Earth honest approach in everything she does. Can’t wait for the next book!
🌟🌟💫 2.5 stars A simple, short daily encouragement with some prompts for prayer topics at the end of each day’s chapter. I really resonated with some of them, and others were nice but nothing too memorable.
Fantastic Devotional! Enjoyed using this for forty days…divided into sections of Who God Is, Who You Are, Where You Are Where You’re Going. Was encouraged by Christy’s writing and point of view.
I really appreciate how Christy laid out an actionable journey to know, believe, and trust God. This was my second time through the book and each time it has been encouraging and affirming.
What an incredible journey through this devotional! The four sections are put together seamlessly, and I enjoyed every minute of it. This is one I see myself coming back to reread again and again!
