The tone of this book was so condescending that I couldn't get through the first chapter. The author paints herself as some rouge exposing the entire beauty industry as snake oil salesmen. I was looking for facts about skin physiology and how ingredients affect skin. But I can't stand bossy, know-it-alls. I tried to skip through to specific topics, but the tone didn't change and I couldn't stomach it. Give me the facts and let me decide.

I read this only it was in English. I've always marveled at Paula's research and refuting abilities. You can trust her she will give you everything you need to know, the good, bland, indiferant, and gory. She is blatantly honest and thorough and gives you a whole new idea on how to take care of your skin versus Sephora magazine(I have nothing against Sephora it was just something I pulled off the top of my head.) She teaches you how to decipher an ingredient list. Paula rocks. It was one of the greatest books I ever read it taught me soo much.
