I'm living my dream. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a rock star. And now here I am, about to start my first big tour, when she comes along.

Ariana.

From the second we meet, she's all I can think about.Asking her to come on tour with me is easy. But she's shy, insecure, and the paparazzi scare her. We live in two completely different worlds.

I love her and I know that she's worth fighting for. The problem is, I'm not sure if love is enough.

Just when you thought you couldn't hate Ariana any more than you already do...

Dear Readers,

So, I like to be the first to write a review on my books...it's a thing. I've been waiting until I'd written enough of this to know what I wanted to say about it.

What I'll say is this...I'm preparing for many one-star reviews. People are not going to like Ariana any more than they did when reading The Album. I always knew that Gabriel's Album would probably make people dislike her even more because I always knew how Gabriel felt during those times. Fear. He felt fear. Constantly. Fear that she would leave him the way she ultimately did.

Hell, even I don't like Ariana in this book, and I've been her biggest champion. I know why she did the things she did, and if I'm being honest, their relationship was toxic as fuck to begin with. I don't like seeing toxic or abusive relationships glorified in fiction, so in some ways I'm glad that we all hate Ariana because their relationship is not good until she gets her mental health in check and they can both be happy together.

If anything, I just hope that this book helps people to understand why Gabriel stayed. Because you know what? People do stay in shitty, toxic relationships because they love the other person so much, or they keep hoping they'll change.

Ideally, Ariana would've gotten therapy while she was with Gabriel, and not after she left the way she did. But she didn't do that.

So, yeah. Sorry that this isn't a rosy, happy review.

If it helps, I do love this book and it is a lot better book than The Album. I still love these characters and their friendships and we get to see a lot of the band being awesome and fun together. So, it's still worth reading even if we hate Ariana, because we all know she gets better and is totally awesome by the time The Wedding/Harrison's Wedding comes around.

Love,

Sian

I loved this book when it was in Ariana’s point of view in The Album, even as I disliked her character. Now in Gabriel’s Album which is written in his point of view, I like and understand Ariana’s sadness and I like her better. She was young and had no direction of her own and she didn’t want to just be “the rockstar’s girlfriend “ with zero identity. She was spending more and more time in her hotel room, it sounded pretty dismal and I felt for her. She had to walk away and it was very difficult for her because she loved Gabe more then anything. It was heart wrenching to read about Gabe’s heartache when she left him but in a way he knew it was coming. I love the ending and I loved their story. I’m a sucker for a happy ending and this story doesn’t disappoint. I recommend this book highly.

Heartbreakingly Superb!!

Grab the tissues people because this author wrote a heart wrenching rock romance that took my heart out, stomped on it and then tried to put it back together.

Just before Cruise Control's first big tour lead singer, Gabriel, meets the beautiful Ariana at a charity event they are playing at. They hit it off right away and Gabriel asks her to go on tour with him. There's one little issue though because Ariana has severe panic attacks when it comes to paparazzi. Is it possible to even try to have a relationship with a lead singer of a rock band when you don't want to be seen with the man you are falling for?

My heart bled for Gabriel at times because this book was so heart wrenching. I couldn't understand Ariana's actions not only to Gabriel but to their best friend and band mate's longtime girlfriend, Heather as well. Could anyone who loved Gabriel ever get past what Ariana put him through?

I highly recommend this book for the crazy journey it took me on. Now I want to read the rest of the books in the Cruise Control series because this author does it for me hands down!

Gabriel's Album was not what I expected. Written in Gabriel's point of view, it had me dropping the kindle and walking away at times out of sheer angsty frustration for Gabriel. I do not love Ariana in this book. However. HOWEVER, the author has crafted a very complex and frustratingly well developed character with beautifully cruel flaws, and a hero who loves her in spite of them. If you like angsty reads that make you absolutely rage, rant, weep and cheer, then rant again this is a perfect book. This was not a fast read for me, and I honestly struggle to write a review because I hate spoilers. This book took time to read and at times I found myself just thinking about the story. Good read.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

this book was so lazy and disappointing. like 2 stars idk

this book def did not make ariana look better. like worse if anything… the author saying “i hope it changed ur mind” like girl…. be fr….

gabriel is a much more lovable character and this book should’ve been the first book or the first book should’ve just been a dual pov because how are you gonna write another 400 pages (kindle version) of the exact events as the other book with the same dialogue. half the book when they’re together was the same as the companion book… like the author even uses the same descriptors in some parts. like thats fr just lazy writing. also such a strange switch up to write the first book in third person and this one in first. absolutely did not benefit ariana or her book at all. rip

also logistically, the author clearly had no clue how any of the entertainment industry works and that was so embarrassing and just made the book more confusing and silly. from having a first tour be in arenas to starting the tour in one city and ending it there to having no stylist (but having publicist/manager/etc) like be fr!!! the list of logistic nightmares goes on. it was ridiculously funny. also why was heather written like she’s half british… she’s from chicago

i still don’t really feel bad for heather and ariana’s relationship either. the author was bad at describing their relationship and depth of them as individuals as well as a pair. i was and still am confused for heather’s hurt tbh. i dont get it like girl ur so much better without her!

even with bad books i’ll read the series but sheesh this was truly so bad rip but on to the next!!!

The Album captivated my attention and my love for Adriana and Gabriel took root in my soul. Likewise, when Gabriel's Album took shape, I lined up to read his POV with much enthusiasm and I anticipated the heart wrenching pain that detonated his world when Ariana left, but having to read their love story with all the devastating loss, it was reliving the pain twice. Situations, explanations that might have been missed the first time came into focus and allowed me to further understand both of their feelings and reasons why they did the things they did. Sian has a unique gift of weaving dialogue that added depth which got us to know her protagonists intimately, so yes, the conversations were one of the main factor that drew me to this book. Her use of the present tense too, was an important element that made this book so great. There were many special meanings attached that did not go unnoticed and enabled us readers to take this journey along at the time it was happening with Cruise Control that brought them into super stardom level after the release of the album Heart wide Open which was a dedication to Ariana and Gabriele's love for her. The love, loss, brotherhood of the band, friendship between Ariana and Heather were palpable throughout.

Ariana's character elicited some harsh and unfair criticism from readers. I can understand her fear of going public with her relationship with a super rockstar like Gabriel. First, she saw first hand what fame can do to families and couples thus she wanted to keep her relationship private, not open to the world to pick apart and the intrusive paparazzi. It is not majorly about her low self esteem, it was about protecting her relationship. Later, I'm proud of her growth and the way the couple was able to converse to move pass this obstacle. By not talking, not explaining, problems are never going to be solved. Gabriel 's love for Adriana took centre stage though, he never stopped loving her for more than two years and although his brief attempt to revert to normal dating with Elena, she never came close to making his heart soar like Adriana. I loved that their love lived on in music and they share a love so inspiring that maybe we aspire to have in our own lives.

I was lucky to receive an ARC copy for which I have voluntarily posted a review.

So I literally just finished Gabrielles Album , I cannot express how much I absolutely loved this story . Rock star romances are one of.my absolutely favorite tropes . Fair warning be prepared to grab the tissues , because this is such a beautiful and emotional read . It’s so heart wrenching, that I pretty much felt like I was on a emotional rollercoaster. Gabriel and Ariana , just wow , such a awesome couple , Ariana suffers from panic attacks , and when Gabriel asks her to go on tour with him , it.becomes quite apparent how severe they are . Gabriel was so supportive and understanding it was truly beautiful.I literally devoured their amazing book in a little over 3 hours straight. There were many obstacles that these two had to work though , and their relationship was not always a easy one , but love and relationships are not always supposed to be . They take work . This is not a book to be missed 😍

I have previously read The Album and only rated that as 3 stars, having read this, alternative, from Gabriels viewpoint, I am rating this book as a 4.

I've read all the books in this series and have enjoyed them all but I do have a soft spot for the lead singer.

I think it's a very clever, if time consuming, idea to rewrite the book from the other point of view and it
does make you see things in a different light and gives a better understanding of the characters - even those you may not have initially liked (Seb and Ari!)

Thanks, Sian for another great read!

This was a good book about a rock star that is getting ready for their first tour and he sees a woman at a charity event and falls for her instantly. Gabe is the lead singer and when he seen Ariana he’s instantly in love. They see each other and before long it’s time to leave and he invited her to go with him on the tour. This story deals with him wanting her with everything in him but she’s younger and afraid of his fame and the paparazzi that follows him. Can they find away to be or will she return home alone? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I loved Gabriel’s Album even more than The Album! Seeing things from Gabriel’s point of view made all the difference (although I did like The Album too).

I am so stoked for the rest of the boy’s point of view!

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This book is from Gabriels point of view and echos the book The Album which is from Ariana's point of view.

I felt for Gabriel even more in this book and Ariana comes out as really insecure and just not as nice, Gabriel on the other hand looks even more patient and kind and i really felt bad with the way that Ariana almost seems to string him along.

Gabriel has a fantastic set of friends who are certainly there when he needs them even if he doesn't realise how much they do for him at his darkest moment.

A good read that certainly had tears in my eyes at times as Gabriel struggled with his emotions and the actions of Ariana.

i was given an ARC copy of this book

The book is about Gabriel who has never been in love is in a high profile band and is generally a bit of a man whore until he meets Arianna

We see the relationship unfold from start to finish the good the bad and all the in between

The author writes mainly about Gabriel his thoughts his feelings and is extremely in-depth making you fall for him cry for him and hate that he is so in love with Ari that he can’t seem to get past her
It also leaves you wondering why she is so frightened of the photographers and press finding out who she is i started to believe she must be in witness protection or hiding from someone it was that intense but also makes you realise exactly how intense those living in the spotlight must feel on a regular basis

i did really enjoy the book and have given this 5 stars but it did take me a while to read as i kept putting jut down then picking it up again

OMG!!!!! I thought Sian's debut book The Album was beyond amazing, it is Gabriel and Ariana's love story from Ariana's POV but their story from Gabriel's POV deserves equal accolades.

Having read The Album I pretty much knew what was coming in the story and though Gabriel's heartbreak has been hinted at previously, I never thought that his pain would be so deep and raw. If you have ever experienced a devastating loss or breakup in your life this story will touch you as it touched me. I think I spent the biggest part of the second half of the book with tears rolling down my face.

I know that Ariana was having problems dealing with the limelight that Cruise Control had be thrust into and she had to get away, but did she have to be so cruel? It was amazing that Gabriel was able to carry on and perform despite being torn apart. For musicians their music is their life blood and salvation and he was able to immerse himself in his music to forget his pain. The result was the album that shot Cruise Control into the stratosphere.

Other good things to come out of their time apart were that both of them were able to grow, mature and put their demons behind them. It was not easy for either of them but they were more prepared to face the future together.

For a fairly new writer to the scene, Sian continues to slay me with the brilliance of her writing, but this time she has totally outdone herself. If you have enjoyed the previous Cruise Control stories this is one to add to your collection. For newbies to the series it is truly worth reading them all.

Wrecks your heart then puts it back together
Gabriel’s Album (A Cruise Control Novel) by Sian Ceinwen is a very well written rock star romance featuring a rock God with unending patience, understanding and love. This single POV of Gabe and Ariana’s love story is positive, highly emotional and mostly in a healing way. Gabe’s devastation is palpable and his heartbreak was total wreckage. After reading The Album, it was refreshing to read this love story from Gabe’s POV and I absolutely adore him just as much if not more now than I did before.
The plot is compelling as Gabe experiences their high highs, low lows, his emotional purging, then healing as well as the rock and roll scene. It’s not all hearts and flowers, but probably more realistic than most experience simply because from the fame and attention aspect as well as Ariana’s mental and emotional immaturity to deal with it. Gabe was just about as perfect as can be, it just seemed the timing was off for the HEA before the ultimate hurt.
Overall, this couple‘s love didn’t die, it just smoldered steadily and waited for them both to be ready. I appreciated the realization and resolution for this book’s HEA which holds so much positive promise that I can’t wait for the next Cruise Control novel!
I read an ARC of this book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

This is the first book in the Cruise Control Series. I’ve never read anything by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. The rock star wins the girl, then loses the girl. Does he get her back? You’ll have to read it to find out. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. Ariana was childish and immature all through the book. I was glad she left. My heart ached for Gabriel. All the characters were well developed and easily relatable. There are characters you will live and ones you will hate. I loved the author’s writing style. It was an easy read and one I couldn’t put down. There was a twist or two towards the end I didn’t see coming. The ending was worth dealing with Ariana and her issues. I can’t wait to read book two.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book.

Didn't Resonate With Me . . .

Gabriel Knight meets Ariana Chamberlain at a charity event and becomes enamored with her. The band was starting their first tour and he invites Ariana to go with him. She is childish and immature most of the time. She doesn’t want it to get out that she is with him, afraid of that sort of notoriety. And the relationship self-destructs, which was actually a relief to the reader. I wasn’t sure if that was how I was supposed to react, but the girl was annoying. Is that the end of their relationship? Will she find her way back? Or will they both just move on?

Sian Ceinwen's  Gabriel's Album is part of the Cruise Control Heroes series. Gabriel and Ariana take me hostage, making me feel all these emotions and yearn for their Happily Ever After.  Their story has so much feeling, angst, hurt/forgiveness, and steam.  I love this couple and I love the band.

This is my first Sian Ceinwen book that I've read and the first in the Cruise Control Hero's series. Gabriel and Ariana are the focused characters told from Gabe's point of view. Their journey is extremely emotional until they find themselves and each other. I recommend this book.

What an amazing book. Having just read The Album, it was great to read everything from Gabriel's point of view.

The emotional trauma that he went through with his love of Ariana, and how he dealt with it.

I loved all the characters from The Album, but Gabriel's Album gave more of an insight into the relationships and interaction of the guys in Cruise Control, and Gabriel's character particularly.

The second half of the book required large quantities of tissues and kept me up reading till 2.30am wanting to get to the end.

Thoroughly recommend.

Gabriel’s POV

Seeing this all replayed in Gabriel’s point of view is eye opening. It makes you hurt for him even more. Honestly both he and Ari did the work on themselves to make their reunion 2 years later the best possible which led finally to their HEA!

Well now we're getting somewhere. Having read The Album which is Gabriel and Ariana's story but told through her point of view, it's this one showing Gabriel's side that completes it for me. Little did I know that reading a story you already know the outcome of would spark something new and better came as more of a surprise to me than I was prepared for.
Look, it's no secret that I was hooked on Gabriel and had a soft spot for him from the beginning of the first book, but to hear the hope, lust and heartbreak from him directly definitely made me love him more. Still annoyed with Ariana at times but was too wrapped up in him to be as bothered.
Now Sebastian POV should be epic too!!! Can't wait.

Gabriel's Album... Gabriel's Point of View

I had finally started reading the Album when Gabriel's Album came into my ARC so I would know what it's about and if it was a different version of the Album. I soon figured out that the The Album is told from Ariana's Point of View and this Book 📚📖 is told from Gabriel's. I actually enjoyed both of these books 📚. I have to read all the books 📚 in this series because I am invested in Cruise Control. I want to read some more about Harrison and Heather and Sebastian and last but not least Hayden. Get this book 📚📖 but if I were you I would get the series of books 📚📖 that Sian Ceinwen wrote with promise of more

I enjoyed the story. Gabriel and Ariana were opposites in some ways but found their hearts to be the same. Ariana had her issues, and Gabriel tried to keep all that in mind. As things progressed, her fears overrode everything. There were moments of sadness as Gabriel expressed his pain, and joy when things worked out. I felt that the story was a bit too long, but overall, it was a good story. I do recommend it.

I received a copy of this story through Xpresso Tours, and this is my unsolicited review.

I love it!

I loved the way that it is written in Gabriel's voice and how he is very careful about the fact that Ariana has a problem with the media because of the past problems with her family.

I would have gave it five stars if it was complete like the Album. The link doesn't work to get the full story. This book was given to me as an arc for my honest review.

Awesome read

This book is from Gabriel's point of view, (should read The Album) first.
It broke my heart and then put the pieces back together again.
I cried and cringed and fell in love with these characters all over again!

Gabriel is the lead singer of the rock band, Cruise Control, who have just made it big and are about to embark on their first tour.

He meets Ariana at a charity function a month before the tour and is immediately drawn to her. They start dating even though he’s about to leave for months on end, and when it comes down to it, Gabriel just can’t fathom leaving Ariana behind. So he asks her to join them on the tour. She eventually accepts and so starts Cruise Control’s first tour.

Ariana, it turns out, has major issues with fame and the paparazzi due to some previous bad experience, and so Gabriel is forced to keep their relationship out of the press. He wants nothing more than to have his woman by his side and show her off to the world, but she doesn’t even want the world to know she exists.

A couple of chapters in I felt like maybe I was missing something as the time jumps in each chapter seemed bigger than I would have expected. After checking on Goodreads, I found out that this is actually Gabriel’s POV of Sian’s first book, The Album, so perhaps there is more detail in that book to add to this one.

It took me a little while to really get into the book because the first few chapters felt a little stilted. More fact stating than organic story telling. But as I read on I started getting sucked into the drama. I also think I struggled a little because I don’t like Ariana. I just don’t. Maybe reading her POV would make me understand her better but seeing her from this book? She just came across as selfish and a little juvenile. Gabriel, however, was wonderful! Doting, loving, romantic, patient. And he always apologised for things that I don’t even believe he did wrong! Meanwhile, Ariana would get mad at him for situations she could’ve changed just by being brave and giving a little.

The book ended a little abruptly but I think the story carries on in The Wedding so I’ll be reading that to see what happens because Ariana has some ‘splainin to do!
