Skye.
I did something crazy to help pay for my dad's medical bills.
I've allowed myself to become the mistress of a lowlife crook for a month. But it is starting to look as if I may have made a bargain with the devil himself because he won't let me go even though the time we agreed upon is long gone.
He now claims he's not done with me and our agreement ends when he says it does.
And if I attempt to leave or involve the authorities he will hurt my loved ones

My skin always crawled when he touched me, but I gritted my teeth and told myself it was only for a month, but that comfort has been snatched away.
I fear there is no way out other than another crazy act.

Then out of nowhere everything changes. A lifeline.
A tall, mysterious man with icy gray eyes that pierce my soul and sensuous lips that make my heart race, steps into the sordid world I am living in.
He's wearing the kind of suit and shoes that costs thousands, and a scar on his face that rumor says came from a tiger.
Yeah, I've heard of him. In this city who hasn't?
Luca Messana, the head of Boston's ruling Mafia family.

He wants me. That much is clear.
What he does next takes my breath away...

“ That was the moment I knew. I was not a pitiful creature he had bought. One who could be made to open her legs and treated like a whore. I had the same power Delilah had over the mighty Samson. One day I could get him to cut his hair.”

Christmas is coming early for me this year because I am discovering all these great authors and books. Let’s just say that Georgia Le Carre’s writing is primo and she has a new fan.

I was attracted to this book initially because of the cover because the model is hot! Then I was drawn to the beauty and the beast aspect. Luca is the ultimate alpha. He commands all around him and people fear him. From the moment he sees Skye he knows he wants her if only to save her from the man she is currently shackled to. Luca has everything I look for in a hero...alpha, possessive, commanding, and firm.

Skye agrees to be Luca’s mistress for one month due to needing money for her father’s medical treatment but she was no whore. She was a strong woman that defied and challenged him at every turn.

As I said before the writing is beautifully done and the book jumps right into the interaction between the hero and heroine without a lot of background or fluff. And the sex scenes....beyond hot.

This is a dark romance and not for everyone. But it was just right for me. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I’m a sucker for Beauty and the Beast themed books!! This one was enjoyable, although the hero ticked me off with some of his actions... even though they were very understandable considering what he had went through in the past. Still, it was a wonderful story with a lot of heat in it... and heart!

I definitely recommend if the Beauty and the Beast are your jam! Lol!

Dnfed... I don’t even remember what %

Books and authors like this is what made me gave up reading all together. There’s no hope for romance stories anymore when authors write this type of crap.

Heroine starts as a whore (their words, not mine) she sells herself to not one but two men. They treated her like a whore and she takes their abuse because she needs their money for her father treatments. But that’s not all. While she hated that she slept with the first guy for money she just got wet when zero touched her sexually the first night he bought her. (I was like girl, have some self respect. At least wait a couple of days before you get wet for someone who’s going to treat you like crap.🙄😂) He also asked her to get herself tested because he’d like to fuck her bare. And she asked him if he’ll do the same and he told her that he kept himself std free and she’ll just have to take his word for it.

Style: Billionaire Romance
Story: 4/5
Sexual: D.R.I.P (Don’t Read In Public)
Enjoyment: 4/5
Male: Sexy, Quiet, Alpha and Rich
Series: BOOK 2

Let me first start off by saying, I haven’t rated a book (D.R.I.P) in a while. That’s the (Don’t Read In Public) you're clutching the pearls, super squeezing those thighs and fighting that tingling sensation.

I never get old of the Beauty and the Beast concept storylines. Unfortunately, with that theme for this book, this still will not be for everyone. Luca, is sexy, but cold and almost unfeeling. Although he wants to help Skye and her father, it’s at a price. For the majority of the book there isn’t a Romeo and Juliet love story as Luca, had a lot of issues and a past that has made him the way he is. As the story progress, you definitely see his transformation and trying to hold on to bitterness while trying to give a little of himself to Sky.

Skye, I liked that she was so sweet it’s like she gave me cavities. Jumping from the firing pan into the fire was not her doing but the love for her father drove her to new heights on what she was willing to do for him.

Chemistry, OMG, it was like fire. My Kindle screen got a bit foggy at times. Was it a lot of sex, yes, but remember, the whole concept is he is paying for a month to have his way with her sexually. You are also reading about their month together hence, a lot of sex. Was Luca kind at times with some things he says to her, no, but it still gripped me and I felt like the author didn’t just fill the pages with meaningless sex but had me hooked to the story line and wanting to know how this will end once the month was over.

Overall, I was not only turned on by the story but the writing style of the author. The romance wasn’t 100% there as they had a lot of issues to work pass and it was a slow build up in regard to the romance, however, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a nice where is my fan to cool off read. It turned out the way it’s suppose to in my personal opinion.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s definitely about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the stories you read. I hope this review was helpful.

I hated this book. The only reason why I finished it is because I started it and I wanted to see what would happen in this “mobster “book”. Nothing that’s what happened, nothing. What a joke.
I’m from the East Coast and I’m from a Sicilian family. Frankly I took some offense to some of the things that were said and described in this book.
I wish I could give it only .5 a star and the .5 would strictly be for the devotion Skye has for her father and for some of the side characters, like the gardener and the housekeeper. The rest of the characters were dull, shallow, and straight up boring.
This cannot be labeled a mafia romance. There was nothing in it to prove the mafia ties. And the antagonists?? What a joke. Salvatore was barely in it and he was a week slimy snake that could’ve been a wonderful antagonist if he was written better, if this entire book was written better honestly, but of course it wasn’t and he was useless. Then there’s the step sister, Diana, I think her name was, Who had two small scenes and pretty much leaves skye alone after the one encounter when she runs forward to try to grab the shirt Skye is wearing and then falls to the floor. Then oh no! it’s over and everything goes back to normal. What a joke that was. It was one of the worst scenes in the entire book. Once again she could’ve had the makings to be a wonderful antagonist causing all sorts of trouble and raising hell for Skye and Luca, but no, the book was written like shit it was focused on sex, sex and more sex.
This was in no way a mafia romance it was a sex book and then throw in a little dashes of friendship, a little sprinkle of deceit and bada bing bada boom you got someone calling this junk and novel.
(There is a reason this book is free on amazon, just saying)

The Italian names in this book were so obviously looked up to make it more “authentic mafia”. Well let me let you in on a little secret honey; not every Italian has a name like some half assed mafia movie or bad mob scenes from Hollywood OK? Sure some of us do sure. But every name in this book seemed to be. That’s not how it works.

Skye- This is the main character is a beautiful blonde bombshell with the body of a goddess and the soul of a saint. (obviously she would have to have both of those things otherwise there wouldn’t be a book, now would there?)
Now sky is a devoted daughter who sells her self to “mobsters“ to pay for her father‘s cancer medications and treatments. To this point I understand just the devotion and doing whatever it would take for the family part, but I don’t understand how she has so little self-control and so little pride for herself. She signs a contract with Luca, The other main character and point of view of this book, saying that she will be his mistress (sex slave) and in return he will pay for all of her father’s treatments until he is better. Well did you know that cancer can’t always be treated especially if it came it went and then it’s back again in full force? What if he had died?? What then??? She only signed a contract for one month as if one month of sex could make up for the thousands upon thousands of dollars it would take To make her father well with a clean bill of health.
Anyway back to this “protagonist”. Honestly she shouldn’t even be called that. She didn’t grow she didn’t do anything of importance. She had sex with a guy who rented her out for month and then fell in love with him after the first time he gave her an orgasm. She had like two defiant moments in this book and went right back to being a sex doll that can speak and has to eat. Give me a break.
Oh and then on top of that while she is living in Luca’s house, the standoffish employees of Luca, warm up to her after a few smiles and hellos? That’s also not how that works in a mafia controlled house hold. You need to be there longer than a month and do something other than fuck the boss. This character has zero depth to her. She’s a gardening sex toy.

Luca- alright so here is this big, handsome, dangerous mobster who of course is young. Gag. And he buys Skye off of Salvatore. She goes with him and does whatever Luca tells her. Why? Because she never felt this way about anyone ever! And Luca absolutely has never felt the stirrings in him with anyone but Skye! This girl he doesn’t know a damn thing about is casting this love spell over him! Yuck.
So, Luca flat out says that blood was spilled and he is going to hell and he is dangerous but then turns around and says that he made it all into a legitimate business? That he hasn’t done anything illegal? Are you joking? Why was blood spilled then huh? Why are you so dangerous if you aren’t doing anything wrong? The mob can have legit businesses and what not but it is called Organized CRIME for a reason there sweet cheeks.
But of course he’s a good guy and of course he falls for Skye and they get married and she gets knocked up. I mean come on the entire thing was obvious.
This guy barely says anything or does anything this entire book. The best character building in this entire thing out of all the characters was the story madam told Skye about Lucas ex wife and their baby. The story gave depth and danger to an otherwise flat character.
After that little tidbit I thought it was going to pick up. But by that time the book was 85% finished. The rest of the book Luca and Skye kindaish fight. He leaves she lives in his house planting her flowers and talking to her unborn child.Lucas brothers wedding an assassin comes for Lucas father but accidentally shoots Skye. What a terrible assassin. But don’t worry no one was hurt and Skye gets to a hospital and has a c section like nothing happened other than going into labor early. There was no other explanation. Who was the assassin? why did he come? was he alone? Who sent him? Was anyone else hurt? Was the assassin killed or arrested? Is there going to be retaliation? Nothing we get a prolog after a year saying that Skye is pregnant again.
Some of sex scenes were ok. But even those were kind boring and that’s all this book really had.
I could say more but this post is already too long. Just don’t read it. Well unless you liked everything I said about the book. Then you do you.

Oh my fucking god. I'm soooo sorry, but this book is awful. I'm not even going to sit here and attempt to make something of it.

I don't know if it was self-published, or maybe someone's first work that kind of just became a cult classic, but holy fuck. It's written like a 13-year-old wrote it, and a review I read made it out to be the smuttiest book ever written. It's not. It's choppy, jumps all around, and I... Yeah... no. Just no.

FML... 😭😭😭 Just... FUCK! I honestly couldn't get through it without cringing. It was a struggle to finish, and I kept hoping it would get better, but it just didn't. Actually - I knew it wasn't going to get better and I kept reading like a fucking train wreck I couldn't stop. The dialogue felt forced and unrealistic. Like, how is he avoiding you - fucking you and walking out of the room and you say "but I wanna spend the night in your room."? Biiiiitch - he JUST said you ain't shit! OMG... yea.. NO.

To the author... if you ever see this - I'm SO, SO, SO sorry. I can see the effort and passion you put into your work, and I respect that. Maybe a rewrite or a re-release? I dunno - I know I can't write a book and I probably have no place saying anything like this... UGH... yea... fuck!

This was such a slow burner, and for me it never really picked up. Don’t get me wrong it was a nice story, but I was expecting more drama and bit more violence.

The end felt rushed and just skipped over so much, there were loads of lingering questions.

It genuinely felt that the first half went in so much that the last half was rushed, I was quite glad when I finished it.

I wish I loved these as much as the people that rated it did. The constant paragraph (and sentences too) breaks kind of annoyed me, and that’s just me, but I found it hard to lose myself in the story as well as if it were written in a more normal writing style.
In the beginning I thought it was too convenient that Skye would feel nothing for Luca and then literally one second later be so turned on that she conveniently forgot her hate and wanted nothing other than to submit to Luca. It was a little hard for me to believe.
The middle of the story got better and I was invested by the end but it (the end) felt so rushed, the details just glossed over. I wish that the ending was a little more drawn out and the emotions these two characters felt for each other were exposed for longer on the page.

It was a good read for me and I’ll happily read another of the authors.

I knew Luca will be my favorite, I loved everything in this book, the hero and heroine, the castle, the story, and of course the drama. Georgia is sure my favorite author and her writing are flawless, always addictive, and captivating. Luca and Skye together are perfect, their chemistry is off the charts. Skye is a perfect heroine, she is a smart, caring, and beautiful soul. Luca is troubled by his past but from the first time he sees Skye, he knows she is his, and he will do anything to have her. Skye's father, Laura, Madam, Katie are perfect second characters and a great addition to the story. All in all another amazing book by Georgia.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this outstanding slow-burn, mafia romance that is loosely based on an old fairytale “Beauty & the Beast” It really grabs my attention & kept it until the end. The plot is suspenseful, well-written & intriguing with good scene descriptions & world building. The characters have complex personalities & the male character (Don Luca Messana) has some painful memories of a sad past but notices a young woman (Skye Morrison) & promptly decides to claim her for one month not realising that his heart would soon thaw & ultimately these two people complement each other. There is good support from the secondary characters.
There is: mafia, friendship, family issues, jealousy, some deceit, drama, intrigue, suspense, desperation, determination, chemistry, strange attractions, possessiveness, embarrassment, emotional turmoil, threats, manipulations, unexpected surprises, misunderstandings, complications, compromises, steamy scenes, happiness, love & a gorgeous well-deserved ending.

Ever since finishing BODYGUARD BEAST, I couldn’t wait to see what was in store for Luca, Angelo’s brother. And I was not disappointed. I loved Luca, even in his worst of times. He had a past that haunted him. But don’t most of the cruel, sexy mafia bosses we read about? Otherwise, where is the fun if we can’t peel back those delicious, tortured layers one at a time until our Prince Charming is revealed?

All in all, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST was an excellent read. I devoured it quickly and late into the night. I needed sleep, but my need to finish this dang book took over. So much happens towards the end, some that even broke my heart and had me hurting for Skye. But the story wraps up perfectly and left me smiling big smiles. 5 Stars!!

5 Hot Stars 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Yeah, an other great story by GLC👏👏👏 Loved the parallelism with Beauty and the Beast. Also the landscape and the estate where they were living resembled a castle. It pretty much takes place during a winter snowy season delivering that fairytale white magic.

Luca (my fav male name in Italian🥰) was a handsome, smart, dark, sexy, rich and powerful man in Boston. He headed one of the most powerful mafia families there, but the business he run was completely legal.
Skye was the perfect damsel in distress. She was this angelic soul that brought light into the dark existence of Luca Messana.

The chemistry and the intimacy between these two was off the charts!! GLC has a talent in writing these kind of scenes 🤯🔥

A beautiful hot romance in GLC style!!

I thought that this was a fantastic book. I loved Luca and Skye. Skye is willing to do anything for her father. Luca doesn't want to feel anything because his past still haunts him. Skye and Luca's connection and chemistry are out of this world. These two cannot deny their feelings but they sure can try and run from them. These will have your emotions all over the place (mine sure were). Ms. Georgia delivered another truly amazing work of art. I would right recommend this book and this Georgia's other's books!

Skye sold her self to a horrible man to get money for her father’s cancer treatment and when their bargain is over, he decides to not let her go. Luca is the head of the Boston Mafia family and when he sees Skye, he instantly wants her. He agrees to the same terms she had prior, one month and he will take care of her father. However, this time, sparks fly between Skye and Luca and she if afraid she will get attached will their past pain destroy their new relationship? Steamy retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Great characters with intense chemistry and loads of drama plenty of twists and turns. I liked it.

When I read a Le Carre story, there's usually a blend of romance with a suspenseful build up of action throughout. This story primarily focuses more on the passionate interaction between Luca and Skye and the emotional struggle they each face as they realize they are feeling more than just a physical connection. This is both a passionate and emotional story about family, patience, and sacrifice. Ultimately, it's about finding that one person who can heal a heart that may seem broken beyond repair.

Skye is a kind-hearted, patient person with a giving nature. Luca is strong and commanding. He's unmistakably a powerful, confident, wealthy alpha who can have anything and anyone with minimal effort. And the moment he sees Skye, he wants her.

The passion and sexual attraction between Luca and Skye is instant, undeniable, and explodes on page. It's frequent, super heated, and almost desperate at times. But I'll admit, I'm greedy and wanted to experience more of those moments where they emotionally connected outside of the bedroom. My heart broke with Luca's devastating backstory and I was anxiously waiting for Skye's genuine giving nature to mend his scarred heart. Nearing the end, in usual Le Carre style, the author throws one heck of a twist into the story that had me desperately turning the page to see how things would turn out, and then had me smiling while reading the beautiful epilogue.

/I received an advanced edition of this book. This did not affect my opinion of the book or content of my review./

Like reading a fairy tale for adults. Another great book by Georgia LeCarre that bears some resemblance to the fairy tale 'Beauty and the Beast'. The characters are amazing and very well-defined. The story has a mafia theme which adds to the action, suspense and danger. This book is quite a page-turner. Once I started reading I found the book hard to put down. Luca and Skye were great characters and their chemistry was explosive. Skye was so dedicated to her father and would do anything for him. Know you'll enjoy this book as much as I did. I read a free arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I loved this admittedly a little twisted relationship
It’s an original romance, difficult at first in describing Skye’s situation with a man with a tough reputation in the criminal world, Luca.
The relationship is biased initially dominated by blackmail, but at the same time, there is this enormous attraction that no one wants to give importance to other than a contract.
The story has both a simple, yet partially unpredictable basis, and is emotionally complex, with equally complex characters from start to finish.
It's very well written and addicting.

Book Title: Beauty and the Beast
Author: Georgia Le Carre
Format: E-Book

Book Title: The book title is absolutely appropriate to the story.
Book Cover: The cover is absolutely sexy and I definitely love that man candy!
My review:
As the title suggests, this book is a loosely based re-telling of beauty and the beast with a modern twist! One of the reasons for me to get the book apart from the title was the cover ( sue me, I am a cover whore). Another reason being, this author's books have hardly let me down.
I know that I will get a hero who's tortured, has trust issues, bad past and sexy with a dash of smolder! And that is exactly who Luca is! It is always exhilarating to see the hero unravel his sweet side layer by layer as the story progresses. On the other hand we have Skye, who is this sweet, beautiful and strong woman who loves her father and is willing to do anything to save someone she loves.
When Skye and Luca do come together the chemistry between them is sizzling hot and you better keep a glass of wine or water handy because trust me, you'll need it! The plot is suspenseful, with a lot of hot and great scenes drizzled everywhere. The landscape and estate is so beautifully painted it made me want to visit the castle!
Overall, if you're in the mood to read a story with a dark broody hero and a strong, naïve heroine that has a Beauty and the Beast parallel and is erotica, pick this one up!

Final Verdict
Title: 4/5
Cover: 4.5/5
Plot:4/5
Characters:4/5
Language and Vocabulary: 4/5
Final overall rating: 4 /5

Couldn’t put this down brilliant read

Omg couldn’t put this down the story traps you from the beginning to the end. Skye has sold herself to Salvador for a month for her fathers hospital bills who has cancer to be paid but he won’t let her go until Don Luca Messana takes her from Salvador under same terms but this time she has a contract. Luca
saw Skye at a party and was taken and when he saw how she reacted to Salvador with repulsion he stepped in and took her. Skye can’t believe what Luca is doing for her father even though she has sold herself Skye is falling in love with Luca the chemistry between them is off the charts and Skye knows Luca feels the same even though he keeps trying to shut his emotions down.
. Luca is mixed up and is struggling about what he feels for Skye after what happened with his first wife and their son.
Skye marries Luca when the FBI try and use her to get to Luca but when they are in Italy to meet Luca’s parents they find Skye is pregnant and Luca is unreadable and when he misunderstands what Skye was saying he takes them back home and then she doesn’t see him for months until she goes to Luca’s brothers wedding but he doesn’t look at her.
Luca is distraught when he realises Skye has been hit and he could lose her how he had lost the previous months with her trying to deal with demons his late wife left him with. He loves Skye and can’t live without either of them they need to make it they both need to stay alive keep fighting.

Like an Excellent Port Wine: Dark, Intense, and Definitely Worth Savoring
There are plenty of retellings of the classics out there, and certainly no shortage of dark mafia stories as well. However, blending the two into a well-written and intriguing novel is quite a rarity. This story encapsulates the layered essences of the timeless classic, so often lost in the children's fairy tale, and then adds a stark and gritty component most modern readers feel a greater understanding of: the Mafia. This blending results in a fascinating slow burn romance between Capo Luca and the outstandingly loyal Skye.

It's a confusing twisting tug of war as territory is gained and lost repeatedly in this unwitting battle for the heart. Skye is kept so often in the dark, but that's to be expected when you live in the manor of a capo. But while Luca has done his best to know everything about Skye, he has yet to learn how her heart and mind work. So he really knows nothing at all. Except that she has captured his heart without even trying.

Readers should consider this an adult read: 18+ at least. There are adult situations and language throughout the storyline, and the passion between Luca and Skye rates closer to erotica than steamy romance. It's seriously sizzling, and well done. But if erotica is not your cup of tea, and adult language offends, you've been warned. If these aren't issues for you, then enjoy a wonderfully mastered retelling of the classic.

Georgia hits another home run. This book saved me from a run of meaningless novels that I started to read on my kindle, only to delete them before I finished. She is such a great author who knows how to write an intriguing storyline, characters and dialog. Dialog and storyline is the basis for any good book for me and Georgia is a master at providing that to the reader.

Luca's and Skye's story gripped me from the beginning and kept me captivated throughout the entire novel. I was sorry to see it end. She knows how to develop her characters while providing just enough back story to give them balance and relevance in the real time story. This story has been told time and time again but she was able to take a repetitive story line and make it into something that was captivating and swoon worthy for any reader who enjoys dark romance.

I enjoyed both characters, each with their baggage and secrets. Luca was especially enjoyable for a Mafia leader while Skye played the good girl that had decided to do whatever was necessary to save her sick father resulting into her selling herself into being someone's sex slave. I must admit that characters such as Skye in the past have worn on me; their sacrifice for a family member being a bit unrealistic; but Skye's character was able to pull of the "Florence Nightingale" sacrificial lamb role quite well.

Luca saves Skye from Salvatore's increasing desire for her by buying her. He is not Mr. Nice guy early on treating her like a whore but slowly realizes his feelings for her are much deeper than even he can explain. It's a slow burn attraction and love story with plenty of sex for any reader and an HEA that will make your heart soar.
