The reasons the meteors fell to Earth two years ago and gave people superpowers is revealed. Eh, it was a reptilian alien preparing the Earth to be transformed (which will of course kill everything on Earth). As far as end of the world stories go this isn't bad. It's pretty clear Simone didn't know much about the characters in the Catalyst Prime universe. No one gets more than surface characterization. As comic book events go this one was OK. Jose Luis's art was very good though.

It took me forever to finish this series. And while I do love the Cathalyst Prime universe, I had higher expectations for this event. I know Gail Simone is a great writer, I’ve read quite a bit of her material, and that’s why I set the bar that high.
What was wrong with the story? Well, the plot was a bit already-seen. I wouldn’t have minded it that much, but I really expected some deep character driven storyline. Instead, we got characters that barely got a voice, and ended up being some generic costumed heroes, talking in slogans, without any resonance in the big picture. This was sad. Cathalyst Prime does have some original characters that can be so beloved, and that’s because they’re unique in their very own way. That was entirely lost in the series, and frankly, it felt as if Simone didn’t care that much about the characters in the first place.
It was a missed opportunity, add that the timing couldn’t be worse (you know, the COVID-19 thing), and this could very well be the end the CP Universe.

Pretty fun event, with the gimmick that the world is ending in seven days and each issue follows one of the last days. A lot of grasping for hope when it seems like there’s nothing but despair. The action is big and fun. Didn’t know any of these characters beforehand besides Quin but felt like most of the cast got enough time so you learn what their deal is.

I really enjoyed this, hadn’t heard of the series before. Thought it had some cool characters and I liked the big sweeping events. Looking forward to the spin offs that will give more depth to some of the characters, especially Summit’s.

(2.5/5) This book was pretty good! The art was lovely, it had a good storyline and the characters were cool. It just felt a little rushed in a way. Yes it's a comic book with hardly any pages but I hardly had time to learn their names before another group was introduced.

Basically it's a great book just would've liked the characters to be a little less rushed.
