Playa is my home now. But that doesn't mean everyone is happy to have me here. Hayden and I are good. I think. But some of these other kids would like nothing better than to see me gone. I want to forget about them and just live my life. But I can't. Because I know they're coming for me. So I'm keeping my eye on them. I'm keeping my eye on everyone. But I might not be looking in the right direction. Heartless is the second book in The Playa Del Mar High series. It contains mature themes, sexual content, and profanity. It ends on a cliffhanger that leads directly into the final and third book in the series. If you're not a fan of those things, this isn't the book for you. But if you like great stories mixed with lots of bad words and an ending that's going to make you gasp, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU. It is the second in a three book series.

This book started out kind of slow for me, but really picked up in the second half, and left off really good. I really like Syd's spunkiness and independence, and it's nice when the authors make the girls/women in their books the strong one, instead of the broken one that's just devastated when she breaks up with a guy. I'm anxious to read the third book, and I would recommend the series.

Gosh, I couldn't put this down! Luckily, it was a weekend and didn't have to bother with work, lol. At this point Sydney and Hayden are back together. Syd and the girls have made up also, but I guess it happened in between the last book and this one :). Anyway, things are okay for awhile, but of course Charity has to stir up more trouble. Poor Ben gets the brunt of it again and again Syd and Hayden go through some couple issues in dealing with Ben's problem. Not going to give anything away, you just have to read it. I had a feeling about the end and the "friend" Syd's mom was seeing. Now, to find out what the heck is going on between them in book 3! I also can't wait to see Charity finally get her karmic due (I hope) for all the crap she's been spreading around Syd and Hayden!

Welcome back to Playa Del Mar where Sydney Robert’s is in her senior year. Shenanigans continue with bff Ben Elliot, heartthrob Hayden Mayfield & his crew, mean girl Charity Derm and her minions, mean boy Lucas & his crew. The story is well written and intriguing, the characters are well developed. A plethora of emotions, drama, teenage angst, lies, secrets, bullying definitely kept me engaged to the last word. I definitely enjoyed it. Ends in a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading book 3. NOTE: It contains mature themes, sexual content, and profanity. 18+ Only. Would I recommend it: Yes

I really enjoyed this second installment to Syd and Hayden's story. I must admit it did start off slow and I was wondering where the author was taking the story...we still get the quite severe bullying from Lucas and Charity (who is so evil) but the rest of the story felt more about Ben than anyone else.
We still don't get all the answers to the many questions....so I'm really hoping the third and final book answers all these and delivers the HEA Syd deserves.

This book was sensational! It was Box at her finest! This is the second book in the Playa Del Mar Series. The book continues telling the story of primary characters Hayden, Sydney, and Ben. What makes this book exciting is the fact that there are several different situations going on at one time. It definitely keeps you on your toes. I can hardly wait for the next and final book to this trilogy to be released, Fearless. This book is a must read and I highly recommend this trilogy!

The cast of characters have me hooked with their angst and drama. I love the female lead who is phenomenal and the author definitely brought her to life with a smart, accept me as I am vibe. I loved her character so much that I found myself talking to the characters as things once again hit the fan. A very enjoyable story.

Did I miss something?

Ok story. But did I miss something? She gets a car, doesn't know how to drive or have a licence and suddenly she is driving to the beach? Details drive me crazy!

Must read series!!

This book is for teen and up. It deals with things kids are doing with in today's world. My heart is so wrapped up in these characters. Sydney and Hayden are my new fav couple!!!

Hmm

Actually preferred book 2 lol but it feels like the books are too fast and not enough, not complaining though as I did enjoy it and now happily waiting for fearless to come out
