From childhood to his zenith as a player, Gary's story will be a book to read and re-read about a player without equal.
Read this in a couple of days and it was a very good read. GAJ is one of the very vest to ever play the game and it’s interesting to hear what makes him tick and even the insecurities and comparisons he had to navigate as a young player. He seems to be a very genuine and driven guy and as a fellow Christian it was inspiring to hear of how his faith was lived out in the context of his AFL career and how he learned to be himself. Easy to read with some great photos as well.
I have been an Ablett fan and Geelong supporter all my life. I never Got really interested until Gary Sr. played. Then I don't think I missed seeing Gary Gary and Nathan play. How lovely to hear Gary Jnr tell his story. I never thought much of media talk so I did not know a lot about his personal life. I read this book in a day. Not much sleep but well worth the read. Thank you Gary for the interesting and honest account of your life.
