My daughter and I read this for school. It was a short read, but had a lot of great information about Luther and the reformation. Would recommend.

Read to my 8 yr old daughter. An exciting read
Though the end was a little abrupt. She loved hearing about the changes he made. Recommended as a basic biography.

It's a bit difficult to rate such an easy-to-read biography, but for all it is worth: The book is good. It flows pretty fast and gives us the basic facts of the life of Martin Luther suitable for a school child as an introduction. I'm not that big of a fan of these narrative biographies that add some fiction(like thoughts and descriptions) to the mix, but, it's not too much in the way. Overall pretty pleasant read.

A little dry, but overall a good book for kids of the basic history of Martin Luther and the beginnings of the Reformation.

2.5 it misses the mark in several ways, but a decent attempt at a biography for kids on Martin Luther.

a wonderful book about a courageous man of God Martin Luther. To see how God works is a marvel, to see this in a man who was not looking to make waves but hoping for reform is remarkable. We have so much to be thankful for today because of this man, this book is an in sight to all that happened before the reformation and what helped bring it about.

I wanted a biography of Luther to read to the kids for bedtime reading. The Monk Who Shook the World: The Story of Martin Luther was what we found in the library, and it was adequate. It's short, quick, and hits most of the main points along the way of Luther's life. The writing style was right at the primary school level I was looking for, and the kids enjoyed their first glimpse into Luther's life and the Protestant Reformation.

a good intro to the life of Martin Luther. Encourages the reader to learn more about what he did beyond the pages of this short (95pg) biography!
