Mack I’m the silent member of the Wings of Diablo MC club. I’m the one watching you from the corner, the one who won’t hesitate to put a bullet between your eyes. The last club I was part of was a shitshow from start to finish, so when the WOD boys offered me a place in their crew, I snatched it with both hands. I thought this crew would be different, I thought they would be better. Being the one no one expects to talk works to my advantage. I see everything and I can see the fucked up path my brothers are on, the foul alliances we have made, and even the snakes hiding in our own ranks, but they don’t. Now we have a refugee that refuses to play nice with anyone, Siren. She’s part of the mess that Ink was in, but she sees what I see. The storm on the horizon and a family about to be torn apart. Siren I feel like I’ve gone from one nightmare to another. After years as the Giles’ captive I’m free, yet I feel like I’m suffocating. I’ve been nothing but a killer and warm hole for so long I don’t know how to be free anymore. When I hopped in the trunk of the car, I saw it as a way out. I didn’t think about what I would do when I got here. I’m staying with the men at the Wings of Diablo MC and though I want to believe they mean well, I’d stick an icepick in my own eye before I trust them. Mack is who they’ve assigned to acclimate me to my newfound freedom, but he has more pressing matters to attend to, like trying to convince his club that they have all become part of the problem instead of the solution they once were. An enemy of thier so-called allies devastates the tight knit club, but I’m used to this. In fact, chaos and devastation feel just like home.
Rae is a daydreamer, nurse, bookworm, nature enthusiast, wife, momma, animal activist and an optimist. She has lived her entire life in NYC and loves to travel with her family. She believes that sweets should have a larger piece of the nutritional pyramid and that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the best TV shows ever invented. When she is not working as a nurse in her community, she can either be found reading, writing, or taking a walk while listening to music. She has been writing books in her mind for as long as she can remember but decided that maybe there were others out in the world that would find joy in the words she would put down on the page.
Where to begin? Okay, you need to read "Roth" and "Ink" before you read this book because there is a lot going on in the WOD universe. Also, have a beverage and kleenex box ready to go.
This is Mack's book and if you've read the previous books you'll know that he's Maven's brother and Clean's brother-in-law. He's very quiet for a reason. This will explain why he's drawn to Siren. When you read the story, you're going to realize if there are ever two dysfunctional people that belong together in the book universe---it's Mack and Siren! However, their relationship is a rather small part in the larger story of the WOD arc that involves most of the other members and their families. Prepare yourself for a lot of chaos. By the time I was done reading this book, I was so stunned. Yet, I can't wait for Storm's story. If you want an action packed MC book, look no further than Mack's book. Rae B. Lake has done it again!
Since I thought Ink was a mad book and violent, but Mack is in no way inferior, perhaps a little more violent in images but with a very sensitive H. Wonderfully written, especially the speech impediment, exciting, compelling and emotional - mostly a roller coaster ride always only down, but just right within the development of the series. Wow !!!
Mack: A Wings of Diablo MC Novel by Rae B. Lake is a moving, emotional story about Mack and Siren and the violent tragic events that might be the beginning of the end for the WOC. Mack has issues at times getting his words across due to the abuse he suffered as a baby by his mother, but the love he has for his club family is a bond that can't be broken. Mack has a way of seeing things and the way the WOC is headed by Wire he can tell this is going to be the club's downfall, if only he can convince hot head Wire to listen to his concerns. Siren is this beautiful trained killer who is feral with no filter. The only person who is able to get through her is Mack as he is instantly attracted to her when he is told by Wire to get her under control or she is out. The time Mack spends with Siren helping her to trust him, was beautifully written as they both draw strength from each other as they are fighting the sensual desire for each other. With Mack's help Siren is finally able to give herself to him on her terms not because she is forced. The love that grows between these two is intense, raw and full of emotion as their bond grows stronger. Siren, for the first time in her life is finally able to trust someone and allow herself to open up to Mack as well as being around the other women of the club forming relationships she never experienced before. When a run takes a turn, Mack, Clean and the others find out the club is being used by Rooster to push drugs, Wire at first will not go against another President but agrees to stop having his club make deliveries for Rooster. This event will stage the downfall of the WOC as the women of the club along with Siren are attacked sexually as losses will be suffered and families will be left broken with this tragic turn of events. All of this was done by a man named Wren with Rooster's help has it in for Wire and his club for going against him. Eve's fury with Roth's help sets up Wire and his men as they are led to believe that Wire was trafficking the women that he was suppose to save, when the truth comes out that Wire and his club were being used they are told by Roth that Wire has a rat in the club. With all of the twists and turns in this story you will be on edge as Wire and other Charter clubs are out to get the revenge they seek, but one will escape. Wire now due to his stubbornness and rash decisions is left a broken man as he sees what he has done to his club and wife. He now ends up losing his family, destroyed his club and decides to step down to get his family back, brothers will leave the club and a brother who betrayed them will be dealt with. Alliances are broken and now Clean has to reluctantly take over the club while trying to overcome his loss, but with all the sorrow and upheaval the club needs time to heal as each brother goes their own way. Now Mack takes Siren on an adventure away from the club to show her all she has missed while being held captive. With Mack's love these two form an unbreakable commitment towards an all consuming love. Once the call comes out from Clean, Mack returns with Siren by his side to a different club as club roles change, will this be the new beginning of the WOC or will the enemy they will have to face end this club forever? Will Wire ever return? Will Clean's role as President change him forever? Now we have to wait for Storm's story! Once again Rae has drawn her readers into this raw, gritty, emotional story as you follow the love and transformation between Mack and Siren. Rae, you have outdone yourself once again with each story surrounding the WOC about these bold, bad alpha men who play hard and love hard and the women who capture their hearts.
This is a fast-paced MC read. Mack and Siren haven’t had it easy; can they find happiness with each other or will the club tear them apart? Great read with loads of drama, steam and emotion. Be advised there may be triggers for some. I liked it.
**If you have triggers then read at your own risk**
If you have been following this series then you now Mack. How he struggles when talking due to what has happened to him in the past. Even though he struggles with his speech he can still get his point across. So when Siren shows up at the club she is a bit crazy. She has done and seen some things and has come out alive. She does not trust and has lived in squalor but don't mess with her cause she knows how to kill some one real quick. So Mack sees things that others do not because he does not socialize with others. He sees the same in Siren and helps her through her issues and trying to get her to acclimate to life. While she is getting adjusting she is seeing the same thing Mack is seeing. There is a lot of action that happens and you see what happens when power gets to you. So much is going on and ugh I was gutted at one point and in tears. I mean Rae put me through the ringer with this book but it was so good. Get ready to go through an emotional roller coaster.

Oh my….I am blown away with Mack’s story. I thought Ink’s story was fantastic but Mack is very close. Rae B. Lake always does a wonderful job with creating stories that evokes so many emotions. I laughed cried, cheered on, for upset when interrupted, and became so engrossed I stayed up almost all night reading Mack. I love the whole Wing’s Of Diablo MC Series. It is usually club members who have all bonded as brothers and although loyal to each other have their own damage they need to overcome. I got the feeling that Mack takes place quite a while after Ink. There was a lot of changes within the WOD and I really hope Clean can turn things around and he made the right choice having Mack become VP. I have a feeling I should have read Cherry after Ink but thought her story was more as a spin off. Just checked the website and looks like I should have read Cherry after Clean. It’s been awhile since I have read the rest of the WOD MC Series awhile back. I think I am going to start from the beginning with Wire while I wait for Storm. I highly recommend Mack and can’t wait for Storm and to read about the spin off series with Eve’s Fury MC. Hope you enjoy reading Mack as much as I did.
Oh this story was a tragic event that just did not let me go until the very end and still it reverberates even after the last page is read! This book has a few triggers and honestly if you cannot handle triggers then do NOT read this book! Miss Lake is a remarkable writer and she has done this MC justice with twists that you will not see coming! I have waited for Macks story for a bit and am so glad he got his! Siren well she is a hard nut to crack but honestly she is smart and not only is she a Kick @$$ woman but she is seeing EVERYTHING! She knows that this is probably not going to end well but she is sticking around to not cause trouble but to clean up what is coming! Her and Mack are prefect for each other and they make it so easy to love both of them. If you have not read this series I recommend that you start at the beginning! I really would not advise you to start with this book Trust me!

First I have to say I love Mack. From the minute I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. Emotional, tragic, heartbreaking, gut wrenching, drama, action filled, tragic are how I'm describing this book. I didn't know if I wanted to cry, scream, beat someone's ass or hit a few member's upside the head to knock some sense into them. Things I never dreamed would happen did and I had to re-read a line or two more than once because my brain wouldn't accept it. Well done Rae you totally sent me on one hell of a ride. I'm sorry I can't and won't ruin this book so if you love this series as much as I do them you need to read Mack's story I guarantee you'll be glad you did. I can't wait to read Storm' s story to see where the club goes from here.
It is really hard for me to give a fair review of "Mack" as it is my first read in the series. During the first several chapters I was totally lost and many things just did not make sense. There are so many connections from previous books, it tells me the series needs to be read in order. Having said that, the last third of the book was better and things were finally starting to connect. I liked Mack and Siren's story, but it is not for the lighthearted reader. The horrors the women in the club went through was heart wrenching, with lots of drama and conflict, including scenes of rape that I found hard to read. **I was gifted "Mack" via Booksprout and leave my review based on my reading.** 3 Stars
Love! Love! Loved this book. It is a dark book with some intense emotions and turns and twists that you won't see coming! This book will have you on edge as you read. You will be so deep in the story that time will fly by. You will no ot want to put this one down. Mack and Siren have been through so much and suffered at the hands of many people. Will Suren learn/ be able to trust herself? Mack? the club? What will happen with the club and its members as Wire's actions threaten the very core of the club? There is lots of danger, action, lies, betrayal, desires and more! What will they do for the club? For their relationship? How far is to far? What about the club? Can it be saved and be great? Only way to know is read the book! It is so worth it! I can not wait for the next one!
Mack has always been a bit broken and he hates when his brain doesn't work as fast as his thoughts and his wording is messed up however when he lays eyes on Siren he can tell she is just as broken as him and he wants/needs her. He is drawn to her but he is concerned that her violent past will prevent her from letting him help and comfort her. This is one of the darkest books in this series. There are several violent scenes in this book and the events make the Wings fall apart. This is an intense impasse for these amazing characters and their stories. There are several books left in the series but they are going to be tough to get through because the re-building and re-storing faith in themselves and their brotherhood is going to be a challenge. Happy Reading!!
This book seriously needs a major trigger warning. The little disclaimer is back in the front matter and the book opens after that. The content goes beyond the violence, explicit s-x scenes, and language that are usual in an MC romance. Triggers include (but are not limited to): -extreme and gratuitous violence on page -abuse of women on page -multiple S. Assaults that are extremely graphic and on page -miscarriage after violent assault -drug use …quite frankly, I’m still shaking. This book is full of disturbing content. I don’t even like most of the guys in the MC anymore (particularly Wire). It seems that they have turned into monstrous jerks and thugs, except Mack and Clean. I’m very upset that there wasn’t a trigger warning. Be advised.
This book has triggers. This book also will have you hooked from start to end with the twist and turns that come out from the start. Mack observes what going on, Siren who had a tragic and abusive life is at his sf ides pointing out what she sees. The WOD is not what it had been, alliances have brought out something that will have the club on guard if who to trust. When an ally club gives out information that has the women violated the alpha males search for revenge, when heartbreak visits a brother again and ultimately his passing the members of the club are at a list, more so when two members decided it's not worth their women to stay in the club.
Mack is one of my favorites so far. How do you trust when everyone in your past has caused you nothing but brutal pain? Mack and Siren have been through so much individually and it is hard to think that they will be able to make it through the pain to find happiness and trust with each other. This story sucks you in and does not let go … you want to keep going deep because even as you have Mack and Siren and the pool of intense attraction and want, and betrayal they are wading through to come together… you have the destructive path that Wire has set the club on what will happen? Cannot wait for the next book … Great job as usual!
Mack struggles with his speech after an injury he suffered in childhood. He therefore stays back and watches everyone. Siren was rescued by the club from horrific abuse. Trained as a proficient killer she reacts violently to any attempt to help her. When she’s down to her last chance Mack takes on her rehabilitation because he thinks everyone needs a chance. To everyone’s surprise she not only responds to him but something more blossoms. Unfortunately there is a lot of terrible stuff going on around the MC and soon Mack and Siren are neck deep in the mayhem. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
The author keeps you turning the pages of each new book keeping the reader on the edge. So far WOD has lost so much. How can they still be standing. Mack see so much just like he says Siren for the person she was. Finally safe and happy Siren is once again taken to a place she never wanted to be revisit. Betrayed by Rooster WOB is not again with their women raped and beaten. But they are strong.
Though each book I wonder how much more can this MC take ,losing two presidents, old ladies, brother's to death and betrayal. With Clean in charge will they be able to rebuild. Can't wait for next one.
HOLY FREAKIN H*L^!!!! This book has just left me COMPLETELY beside myself just like Roth did! Siren has been through complete and utter h*l^, now she's with the Wings and trying to settle in thanks to that beautiful Mack. He melts my heart........ ok back to business. It's left me very perplexed as to how I feel about Wire too. I'm so livid with him on one hand and on the other my heart hurts for him. Rae B. Lake keeps pulling out the big guns with each book she writes in this series. I can't wait to see how she pulls the WOD back together again.
Where to start? First off this book isn’t for the faint at heart. I am always cautious when I read warnings about hard things on books. I was willing to take a chance with this one since I adore the author. Siren has had the most horrible life and managed to find Mack. They both have issues and because of this they help each other and maybe find a little happiness. There are many tragic and graphic things in this book but the way the author handles them makes it easier. If you love this series then you don’t want to miss this one.
Siren had been through hell and back and now finds her self settling with the MC with the help of Mack who knows his fair share of demons, but will it be enough? this story has you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with fast paced action, twists and turns, surprises out of no where, desire, suspense, hot scenes, big changes and more! a whirlwind of a read that captivates from the get go and hold you all the way!

Wow, not sure I know where to begin... First this story has triggers so please be warned. Mack has always had a little place in my heart and now he’s taken up even more of it. The way he gets through to Siren is something extraordinary. It truly broken me when Siren and the others suffered the unimaginable. This story didn’t go the way I thought it would and it made me turn the pages even faster to see what was going to transpire next. The WOD are not the same and they never will be again.
I have loved this series night this is by far my favorite one, 5 stars is no where near enough. The club is already devasted after losing Vida the way they did they are not prepared for what's to come!!!! A serious rollercoaster for your emotions, I felt like my heart had been ripped out stomped on and kicked around the floor then shoved in my chest back to front , it's a proper ugly cry in places so be equipped with a lot of tissues. Rae is definitely up there in my list of top MC Authors.... I'm off to read something fluffy till.i recover
This must be my favourite book from this series followed by Ink, it's definitely the darkest in this series by far so if you have triggers this is not the book for you. I really liked this book, the author did a really good job with the plot & characters. The book was well written it made me go through different emotions as I read it from feeling anger to sadness and a whole other range of emotions it even made me cry! But I'd still definitely recommend this if you like your MC books to be dark!
Mack and Siren have both lived hard lives. Now they find themselves in a MC club at a time when everything seems to be going wrong. Every move appears to be against the club, and someone is working within to pull the club apart. Mack and Siren see it all, but will the club pull itself together before it's too late and will Mack finally get his chance with Siren to get a chance for a happily ever after? This action-packed story will keep you turning the pages until the last one!

Well this book explains alot about what happened in detail from previous books. I must admit I was very confused, especially where Wire was concerned from what happened in Roth's book. Personally I'd rather have each book in line with their story, not jumping books. But good book anyway. With everything going on there is no happy ever after in this book, at least not yet. Best book Rae B. Lake has written to date!!! Filled with twist and turns, drama, angst, and dark themed. I was literally gut punched.
Mack just stole my heart. His desire to help Siren was felt on every page. Then BAM!!! The book took a turn that was hard to read yet I could NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN.
Great job Rae B. Lake!!! I can't wait to see what happens to the Wings of Diablo MC.
I don’t know what to say. I am lost. My characters have suffered. I had no idea that Mack’s story would be so tragic. I can’t believe this. My heart hurts for all of them. This series is amazing and I have to go back and reread it. But I will be sad while I read. Read this series but know that this author will pull you in. You will love it, I just hope life is better after Mack. I still cry for Mikala and Prez. 😭
I can say that i have throughly enjoyed this book from the first page to the last. It is bringing two broken people together, who might have never met or fallen in love otherwise. When the WOD’s are betrayed by both family and supposed allies, the world as the club knows it is changed forever, and the hierarchy is thrown for a loop. In the next chapter of the Wing’s, all bets are off and the club is cleaning house and taking no prisoners for the attacks on the family. It is a must read that i highly recommend.
This is a great series. I loved Mack and Siren, at times I was sad, others happy, and others just ugh. Can they beat their demons together. This is one of my favorites in the series. This kept me engaged and on the rollercoaster ride. Action packed, so much going on. The club is still in trouble and will the club make it. I just love this series.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is another addition to the Wings Of Diablo MC series. It is about how Mack and Siren, together, face their demons of the past and present. This is a story that is full of drama, danger, suspense, tragedy, healing and love. They do not have an easy story to read, but it is worth it in the end.

This MC will give you depth from start to finish. Mack doe not play around. Silence is golden for a reason and he gets to hear and see lots of them. Then there is Siren and she has the same vision you can say as Mack. They see were the path is headed that the club is on. She has quite the story too. what a way she escaped oh boy. What is on the horizon will get our full attention and we hold our breath to see who is left.
