★★★★☆ [4/5 stars]
This is my first e-sports danmei and I actually enjoyed reading this a lot!!

I always, always love OP characters. Whether they're OP physically or intellectually, it doesn't matter to me because I'll still love you. That's why I love the MC and the ML so much!!!

The MC (Tyron Odin/Lord Four, which is actually the gong) is the definition of OPness!! Others might find it exaggerated since he never once lost a fight all throughout the series but in my opinion, it's quite reasonable for him to be that overpowered. I remember this paragraph from the novel:

"The master made a sound of acknowledgement and he thought proudly inside that if, as a half-demon who's lived for so many years, he had been unable to play out a strategy to beat this group of human cubs, he might as well have smashed himself to death headfirst."

And I agree!! Being a son of an elf and an incubus which gave him strength incomparable to others, having an innate talent for combat and honing it for thousand of years in order to survive, it's just understandable to be that strong and smart, especially if his opponents are just mere humans (human cubs in his definition). For me, it doesn't make the competition any less exciting. I actually loved the fighting sequences so much. Even if I know how strong the MC is, I can still feel my heart beats so fast because of so much anticipation. The narration in the fights is so well done!!!

The novel showcased the MC's OPness that I sometimes forgot the the ML (Victor Li/Little Vic) is also an OP character. If the MC excels in combat and strategies, the ML excels in academic. But because he's mostly being a fanboy of his 'male god' the whole time, it sometimes slipped my mind how smart he is! I loved the ML so much!! He's definitely an adorable cinnamon bun. His personality reminds me so much of Little Witch from Surprise!... because they're both the same kind of adorable and the way they worship their man is also the same!!!

This novel will give you so much dog food! Their relationship is not toxic and so healthy with no unnecessary drama at all.  I adore their interaction so much! They're so meant for each other and everyone will agree. Also that one 'spicy' scene is soooo *chef's kiss*. I think that scene is one of the best smut scenes I've ever read. It's so hot!!!

For those readers who haven't read an e-sports novel yet and now planning to read one, I think this novel is a very good first novel to pick based on my experience. I don't think it's very heavy and complicated in the e-sports part so it's a great choice so you won't get confused. I recommend this novel a lot if you just want fluff with some actions here and there. But I'll remind you again, if you don't want a very overpowered character, this might not be for you.

This was cute at the start but by now it’s turned boring. It’s really killing the suspense when one person always wins in whatever game is played. I don’t have to be a genius to know they’ll end up happy, richer than rich, and Tyron in the needed new body. Maybe he will tell Victor where he’s from, maybe not. I don’t care enough to read another 63% of this. Sorry.

I’d give it maybe 2.75 or 3 stars right now.

2.5⭐. E-sports. Interstellar. Comedy.
There is nothing going on for this one. What suspense could there be with an OP MC with a 💯 win rate ?! Add to that: fragile world building, some plot-holes, conveniences.. and there might be no hope of salvation. Thankfully, the couple is likeable enough and the interactions are often funny.

The serious summary does not even hint at the amount of hilarity and fluff this book contains! This was such an entertaining read.

Also, I've never read about such passionate and obsessed fans as the Rainy Day Cult lmao. If I could see that iconic scene in person, I'd probably also join it lol.

The relationship alone was 5 stars. So entertaining and they were so cute and funny together. The MCs views on relationships and liking people is so refreshing like you rarely see MCs acting so chill and nonchalant about it. There was no beating around the bush which i appreciated because the man is like 1000 years old… he’s too old to be playing nonsense games like that. Victor is a sweetheart.

As for the plot, like 2 stars, it was not good. There was no entertainment, no suspense, it was just the same fight over and over again. It was incredibly boring and repetitive. I just flipped right by the fight scenes. I like overpowered characters, don’t get me wrong, but there was no need for so many fights, and for them all to be the same! Some variety would be nice. I have read overpowered done well, and this just wasn’t it.

The protagonist is hilariously OP, the minor characters exist only to get stepped on, and a casually thrown-in bit of the setting at the very end just makes me WTF...

But I still really enjoyed this book! In fact, I couldn't put it down at all, it was just too fun... Even though I never managed to properly connect with the main couple (they're cute, but I don't really care beyond that?), Tyron was just such a good departure from more typical danmei protagonists and the fight scenes were just way too engrossing! Special shoutout to the first entertainment match, because that one just made me cackle.

Overall, I'd say this is a pretty light and enjoyable popcorn romp. Well worth getting sucked into for a few days, even if there are more than a few questionable moments.

I read this book because of the translator, whose translation has always been high quality and the books were amazing.

However, it's really a disappointment. I dragged it out for so long and was considering to DNF the book. I mean it's a unique premise (interstellar, VR, etc) but it was really.. dull. MC was too OP that there doesn't seem to be any challenges. His character settings seem to be at odds with how he gets together with ML (imo).

The fluff was good though. And I felt that the extras were better than the main story (but plot twist and I was like, oh okay.... -.-lll)

Definitely not reading again

Has mild spoilers? I don't think they're that big so I'm not gonna hide this review

“My happiest achievement was probably reading in the library that day, when I somehow captivated a certain little tail.”

Honestly this has A LOT of flaws and I mean A LOT. I wanted to drop this so many times but the main couple's interactions made me keep reading it.

The MC is literally just op and unbalanced in terms of "e-sports" there was no suspence you knew that he was going to win every single time. And the ML is a literal Mary Sue(or Gary Sue if u like), he's completely op but when he's in front of the MC he turns into a complete simp.

I especially don't like how the ML fell in love at first sight just because the MC is hot, that's just ridiculous, well then again, I'm more into slow burn romances where they slowly but surely cultivate feelings together. XD

Well, if you like fluffy novels with an unbeatable, op MC and simp ML then this is for you.

pros: op mc, i liked both the mc and the love interest and they were nice characters, their relationship was cute, great translation, fighting scenes were fine and good balance between the fighting and romance, there’s one explicit s*x scene and it’s actually pretty well written/good

cons: relationship starts very abruptly (no real reason for either of them to start being interested son each other??), the whole little arc with vanticos teacher and the extra with victor in the dream were just... kinda there ig, honestly just got a bit boring after the provincial championship

Nothing much goes on plot-wise, and the characters are more like archetypes rather than fleshed-out people (this does not mean they are not charming-they are!)

"The protagonist is a badass", the novel. Nothing else to see here...

And yet, it's entertaining and unique. The worldbuilding is fun, and the e-sports setting is well executed. In many e-sports novels, the e-sports are so boring that I just want to skip them, but here they are quite engaging.

It's a good novel for passing the time.

MC terlalu OP, nggak pernah kalah lawan siapapun juga. ML juga OP tapi setiap ketemu sama MC langsung berubah jadi fanboy yg super duper pemalu. Sebagian besar ceritanya tentang pertandingan esport, banyak actionnya

Dropped at chapter 129 because of a racist remark😀.

Also, its very interesting at the start. But as the story goes on it becomes boring.

DNF - at chapter 70. So this is not a terrible novel, it’s just incredibly repetitive and there’s not much to it.

I’m really unsure about what the plot is actually about? Is there a villain or some major task? The characters aren’t relatable or likeable and seem very two dimensional.

I started off quite eager to read this but I found myself getting very distracted. I stopped at chapter 32. I revisited this after reading GLS coz I was high off the esports but then dragged myself to chapter 70.
It’s really not that exciting. Like I can’t get into the battles or the characters. Even the couple is quite lacklustre.

I may definitely pick this up in the future when I have absolutely nothing else better to do.
