When it’s time to find your own way, you can enlist the help of an unassuming man to help you over the hurdles. And find out he is not at all what you expected – in so many ways.
Tired of living a lie and with one close call too many, Molly Fitzgerald decides to call time. Selecting her new work colleague, the bespectacled Clark Kent lookalike with the smart brain and atrocious wardrobe seems like a plan. And if, inexperienced in the art of lovemaking, Molly also asks him to teach her the basics, that’s merely good business sense. But what if he turns out to be way more than she anticipated - both in the bedroom and out?
Kit Elliot, an in-demand forensic accountant, spends his life as the perfect chameleon. When the fixer of all manner of thorny issues discovers that the delectable accountant who befriends his nerdy persona is also hiding secrets, he is happy to assist. It is, after all, what he does.
What he doesn’t expect, when he agrees to help out in a separate, very interesting scenario, is that he will end up enthralled. Kit’s not here to get involved – his backstory is too messy. And Molly might be up to her aquamarine eyes in criminal activity - the very activity he is sworn to reveal. Or she could be the answer to all his dreams.
I loved the style, the pace, the characters. It's rare to find a novel where from beginning to end you're at the edge of your seat and you're not disappointed one bit ever . A "can't-put-down" read! The kind of book that keeps you up reading until all hours in the morning even if you know you have to get up early! I enjoyed this 4th novel of Pamela Hobbs so much. Pamela Hobbs manages to blend romance and suspense effortlessly, with her lively inimitable style. The Fitzgerald Family Saga (this is book 4 but is also a stand-alone book) is a must in the bookshelves of anyone who likes to plunge themselves into "Family Affairs"!
This is my favourite book in the Fitzgerald family series. The two main characters are so well developed, so quirky and funny that you really don't want to let them go, in fact I dragged out the end of the book because I enjoyed them so much. The dialogue is superb, witty and highly amusing but with deeply serious undertones. The plot thickens slowly at first as we become familiar with the characters and background and then explodes with quite a few twists and turns en route. A powerful and wonderful read, I would highly recommend it
Added Attraction is a must read. I was drawn into this book so easily in the first few pages. There’s romance, drama, suspense and wit throughout it. I really liked the main characters and I could FEEL Molly’s rage with Kit when she discovered what he did!!
I would really recommend it and can’t wait to read book number 5.
I would love to see The Fitzgerald Family Saga on TV.
Loved this book, I think it carried more softness than the first three...less suspense but no less delightful. Was a very quick & enjoyable read. The characters are people you would want to spend time with. Looking forward to reading the 5th book!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, feel like a neighbour to the Fitzgerald family !! Cant wait to read book 5 Second Shot and see what the allusive Flynn has been up to. Pamela G Hobbs, writes so well while also delving into the complexities of human emotion.the unexpected twists in her story lines are fantastic making all her books real page turners! I can see a movie in this series.
Sometimes lies or half-truths are needed. It is interesting though how the truths usually will surface when least expected. A good relationship will build naturally with faith and trust. Be open and communicate with each other to better understanding of why things happen in life.
