STORY:
I enjoyed Hammer’s and Avery’s story. I thought they balanced out each other with Hammer being dominant and authoritative and Avery being shy and timid. Her coyness added a certain allure for me when she interacted with Hammer. Hammer has a troubled past, while Avery has a present that she is on the run from. I got such excitement when they met and onward with Hammer claiming Avery.
This story was paced but still packed with details and information with all different characters. I found it appealing and entertaining.
CHEMISTRY:
Sexually, I like Hammer and Avery. Although I found them appealing, I wanted a little more steam.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I love all the secondary characters. We have Avery’s co-workers Quinn and Willow and very much want and hope they will get bikers of their own. I also love Hammer’s MC brothers. The one that stood out to me was Malice. Can’t wait to read his story. The other was Gunner.
Overall, a good fast-paced story that had an appealing storyline and characters. Love the MC world the author created for me and I look forward to this series.

Wow this was not so good. The run-on sentences of internal dialogue, misplaced punctuation, vague backstories - it really detracted from what could have been a solid story.
Points for making me snort laugh to an edit miss "head honcos". Sorry- its honchos. And I don't feel like there was a good physical description of either the hero or the heroine. Or her age. Or why her alarm went off at 2 am but she was getting up at 4 to be at the Café by 4:30?
Lots of inconsistencies. But I did find my self feeling like Hammer himself was dictating this story to the author and she was "jest writin' what she herd". It was a strange feeling...

I Love this author! This ride she has us on is not only phenomenal it is soul crushing! When will the Devils Riot catch a break!?! It seems that the best of the men that you think might be the worst end up being exactly what you need to not only put a smile on your face but allow some of the heat that is coming of the pages to burn brighter than before! Whew! I just adore this author. E.C. knows what makes my heart sing! I swear she knows all the right buttons to push and knows when to release that locking mechanism she has so graciously given us, for just a moment she allows us to delve into the lives of these Men and Women who make up these dependable, incredibly sexy characters who will batter our hearts making us LOVE them! I so want them to have their HEAs and all of these characters deserve to have them. One thing at a time, one thing at a time. Girl you gave us so much to think about, kept me on the EDGE! THANK YOU for sharing with me/us. Thank you for giving me this incredible escape!!! One incredible author writing spectacular stories! Please get this author! I LOVE THIS COVER!!!!

New chapter, more wonderful, alpha males!! Hammer is the Prez of Devils Riot MC Southeast and he became President through tragic circumstances and he shut down his emotions, then he met Avery and his heart started beating for the first time in nearly two decades. Avery is running from her demons trying to start over with owning a coffee shop but she working herself into an early grave. Will Hammer be able to protect his Sunshine from her demons? Will she vanish into the night to protect the family she has come to care for?

This is a MC Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Devil's Riot MC: Southeast series. This is a fast moving romance with suspense and a lot of family drama. I really enjoyed reading this book.

First of all, I've been waiting for Hammer's story since he come to the DRMC: Franklin charter to help them out on things. So I was absolutely excited to read this story.
Secondly, E.C. Land blow it out the water again!!!! Wow, Hammer's story was absolutely great and seeing his side of things. It answered alot of questions I had about how he might have felt in past stories I've read in the DRMC Franklin charter.
Lastly, Hammer and Avery's connection was magnetic from the start. Avery has been running from her past for years and when she runs into Hammer at her place of business. Things change for both of them. Hammer will do everything in his power to protect Avery. He can't lose her not when she is the first woman to open his heart for the first time in a long time. (Don't want to throw spoilers in here so read it to find out more.) But once you start this story you won't be able to put it down.
E.C. Land did an outstanding job in my opinion on these characters stories and background stories. The Grammer and storyline were great as well. This is definitely a must read!! If you haven't read any of the DRMC's definitely do so they are well worth it in my opinion!! Can't wait for the next book to come out because I need more!!!

New series with a whole new group of Devil’s Riot guys...oh my! This first book definitely hit the ground running. Hammer is the President of the Devil’s Riot MC Southeast chapter. He’s also Hades, one of my all time favorites, and Ally’s uncle. This man is intense...wow. A horrific event in his earlier life has left him seemingly incapable of forming any kind of relationship or loving anyone other than Hades and Ally. Of course he hadn’t met Avery yet, and after he does, all bets are off. Avery has her own nightmare of a past that she works hard to keep out of her present. Her family could be the poster models for planned parenthood...don’t let this happen to you....they’re awful and pop up to terrorize her frequently. Luckily for us she meets Hammer after her lovely family strikes again and the rest is reading history. These two are fantastic together. Neither one really has a clue how to do a relationship but they do a lot of practicing until they get it down. Perfect first book for this new branch of the Devil’s Riot MC, love the main characters and the supporting folks are going to be amazing to read about...can’t wait!

In one devistating night Hammer had to take on two big responsibilities, becoming club Prez and looking after his nephew, after his brothers death its also the night he vowed to close his heart for good. Avery moved from the toxic environment she grew up in and opened up a coffee shop, of which she dedicated her whole existence too keep going. After Hammer returns from dealing with the National Charters Drama he finds his own club in trouble with a new gang in town, a rat in the club and Avery comes bumping into his life. When Avery's house gets trashed she is taken to the club house where Hammer the new feelings roused by Avery lead him to claiming her, now he has to figure out whose after his sunshine and deal with the rest of his clubs drama! This is a well written MC romance, book one of the Devils Riots SputhEast chapter within the Devils Riots MC series. Woth action, suspense, violence, sizzling hot scenes and loads of club drama to send your mind spinning into the amazing MC world that EC Land has created.

Such a really awesome start to a different charter of the Devils Riot MC! The build up of this story keeps you really invested in the relationship between Hammer and Avery which leaves you wanting more of their connection to each other. Hammer finally gets his story, he is the Prez of this club and the uncle to Hades and Ally who’s in a different charter of the Devils Riot. We also meet Avery who’s a hard working woman that owns her own coffee shop and has a past that won’t let her escape. The action and drama are never disappointing with E.C’s books as there are always multiple things happening that the club has to battle to try to protect their own from harm. Definitely give this book a read and fall in love with this charter because you’ll just LOVE all the characters here as much as the other charters of the Devils in these series!!!

EC has started this charter’s series off with a bang. Hammer and Avery are so good. Hammer doesn’t believe in love it having an ol’lady. He believes they are a weakness. The only woman he loves is his niece. Once Avery comes into the picture sparks fly. Avery is hiding from her family, but now there are threats to her. Hammer is going to do what it takes to keep this little independent spitfire safe. I loved the action, suspense, feistiness, and twists and turns that EC sucked me in with. I am so hooked on all the Devil’s Riot men. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in Malice’s book. One of the men I have claimed as mine. 😝😝 This is going to be another great charter. Don’t pass up on these alpha men.

Wow! What a great beginning for this new spin off series Devils Riot MC. This book is about Hammer/Tyler and Avery. They are absolutely perfect for each other. Hammer comes across as a cold hearted alpha hole but he’s really loyal and loving for only certain people. Avery has had a tough life and keeps mostly to herself. It was nice to see her grow and start believing she was worthy. The twists and turns were great, it was a page turner. Be prepared to sit down and read for a while! I can’t wait to read malice’s story!

Hammer story is the kind where you expect him to be one way and perhaps he is but when his "Sunshine" makes an unexpected shine into his life, he changes.
He's no angel but it's cute how a big, burly biker wants to do right when he only knows one way of life. Sure you throw in lots of action, crazy cling-ons and even crazier family drama and you got a wild ride ahead of you.
Great characters who are imperfect, lots going on and this is only the beginning. Bring more on!!!! I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Hammer's Pride is a great fast paced, age gap read. He's convinced himself he'll never claim a woman after what happened to his brother and sister in law. Of course that's before he sees Avery. Avery owns Rise and Shine Coffee Shop in town and is determined to make herself as invisible as possible so she can stay under the radar of her craptastic family. Things definitely change when she literally gets knocked down by Hammer. Sparks fly and before they know it they're all kinds of involved. Of trouble finds them but Hammer makes good on his promise to protect her. These two are like 4th of July fireworks together. Not a shortage of action and oh so steamy

Hammer is the Prez of the Devils Riot MC Southeast. Hammer closed his heart off over two decades ago. His Enforcer Gunner calls a meeting at a coffee shop that is owned by Avery. Then, he runs into Avery again when she runs out of her house like the devil is after her. He knows immediately that Avery is his and he claims her right then. Of course, there is trouble created by two of the club whores that believe they have a claim on the Prez. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

I love the connection between the characters, this is Tyler (Hammer) Hades and Allys uncle, he is also the President of the DRMC Southeast chapter
From the moment Hammer bumps into Avery, literally, he cannot help the feelings he has for the sweet coffee shop owner, of course life is never easy and both their pasts raise there ugly heads and cause mayhem.

This is all about Hammer and Avery story. Okay so I am so glad how this book ends. I loved that Hammer gets revenge for his old lady Avery. I hated that her family is that curl and I can not wait to read more. I am addicted to this series and can not wait for the next book. I cry when one ends they are that entertaining.

Well get ready for a wild ride. Hammer didn't figure he would settle down after what happened to his brother and his wife, but things have a way of changing. Avery's past is about to catch up with her and that's not a good thing. Her crazy family is coming for her. When things get out of control for Avery, Hammer claims her and keeps her at the clubhouse. Plus he has to deal with a rat in the clubhouse. He has more than he can handle. There is lots of danger, heat, violence and a HEA. Hammer and Avery need good things to happen for them, they deserve it. They both went through some bad trauma with their families. Hammer had shut down his feelings but Avery brought him back to life. Great book again E.C. Land!

I think I say this all the time... E.C Land just does this writing thing. Love all things ! The protectiveness, the no non sense and the way that he is all about showing his emotion through action then words. Love how all the books intertwine from one MC chapter to the next!!! Never disappointed!!

Holy smokes what a great start to the DRMC Southeast Chapter. Hammer and Avery's story had me cryin, laughing, it's action packed, steamy and I can't wait to see more from this chapter. From beginning to end I couldn't put it down.

Wow, what a great start for a New series. This is the first book in DRMC Southest series. It is steamy and makes you want to read it from cover to cover.

An invigorating and explosive way to start off a new series. This is a different charter in the Devil Riots MC. Hammer and Avery embark on a fast paced, suspenseful, and thrilling ride that leads them both down a path neither of them expected. I enjoyed every single second of this book.

This was a fantastic read!! I so loved Hammers alpha male ways and how shy Avery is the one to catch his eye after all of these years. I couldn't put this book down, it was totally engaging and the characters have me wanting more. Loved it!

Hmm not sure I liked this 100%. I didn't care too much for Hammer. Yeah he was supposed to be a big Alpha biker male, but he was a little too hard for me when it came to Avery. He would lash out at her without explanation when they barely know each other and just starting out. 🫤He was too dominating not in the good way more of just a real a hole. Anytime he fucked up with Avery he went straight to sex to make it up to her. No words no remorse just showing her with sex that he was sorry but not really sorry. There was no build up to their relationship no chemistry. I'm all for insta love but he came off just so hard and mean to be an insta love story. And there was nothing else between them besides sex in the beginning for it to not just be insta love. So their whole start to a relationship was just confusing. Too much internal dialog and too much all at once verbal dialog. Characters try acting like tough bikers but seem like juveniles. Hard to follow, not good flow and confusing at times. They would be talking about one thing not finish it jump to another and another then come back to finish the first thing. Very hard to read and follow. Kept skimming over the long drown out dialog. I'll try to read the other books but I need a break from after reading this one my head hurts.

I don’t know how to feel...
Ultimately I think this was a good book? It definitely had some grammar and punctuation issues. Not to mention that it was VERY poorly edited with choppy and jumbled moments. Then, the book just kind of ended abruptly with nothing resolved. I suppose it will pick up in the next book, but I still feel as though we could do a better job of wrapping things up for now. I think this was a good book, it just needed a little more work and thought put into it.

Hammer and Avery's story will touch your heart. It is filled with action and drama guaranteed to keep you glued to the pages. Hammer is devastated when he comes to his brothers home to find everyone dead accept his nephew. It sets the tone for what his life will become until he meets Avery. She has lived a dark life coming from a dysfunctional family that had dastardly plans for her. Their lives will intercept bringing forth a powerful relationship that will withstand all that is coming their way/

New spinoff series. Love this one. Hammer is totally rough around the edges, but all gruff love when it comes to Avery. Forcing her to sleep, eat, making her secure, giving her people to care about. He goes from only caring about his family and MC to truly caring about a woman for the first time.

I was lost and confused by the opening that I decided to stop. First he was 18 and at a blood scene and then he was 22 or something and taking the presidents seat and sending the neohew to the grandparents. Time line confusing. Sorry
