Alien

That’s what I felt like in my own world. An alien who had come home to find that home wasn’t what I expected.

I had spent the last two years in another dimension—another Thread—living with a people I felt were my own. But something pulled me back. An urgent calling that left little doubt in my mind that home was where I needed to be.

Savannah, Colton, they felt it too, so we came home to find nothing had changed. At least at first.

But when a ‘friend’ surfaced, and offered to help, I knew what must be done. I had to get her back. She wasn’t gone like I had imagined. Only lost. And getting her back home was the most important thing in my life.

It wouldn’t be easy. Nothing that lasted ever was.

Home.

It was good to be here. But I had work to do…

A few years back I remember after reading Blank: Apocalypse – the third of the Lincoln Delabar stories – that if the series had ended, I was very satisfied with how the story was resolved. And then, here we are today having just read Blank: Home, the fourth in the series and realizing just how much this part of the story needed to be written to bring Avril’s story full circle as well as bringing everyone back home. This series isn’t the normal action/thriller type story just because the protagonist isn’t your typical human being. Lincoln is special in more ways than his physical appearance and in this latest episode the reader learns just how special he is, not to mention how those around him are all special in their own right. If you have read the first three stories, this is a must read, you owe it to yourself to follow Lincoln, Savannah, Colton and Avril on this adventure. Received an advance reader copy and chose to provide this review.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this Blank series of books. The 4th book in the series did not disappoint. It can be read as a stand alone book but I would thoroughly recommend buying the first 3 as a box set to read first. I guarantee that you will be addicted. Blank is an ‘action hero” with angst. He is just like all of us with our human foibles and just like all of us he has a good side and a dark side. The latter often threatening to undo all the good he has achieved. If you like action with a bit of sci fi/fantasy thrown in you will love this book.

Left me wanting more

I love action, mystery, and psychological intrigue…With this Delabar series, I’m awaiting the next thing to come along…wanting to know what happens next. That always happen when I read a book, but Richard C Hale has a way of weaving a story that makes you question and look for more.

I have enjoyed each of the books in this series. Lincoln (aka Blank) is a great character and Richard Hale has done another good job expanding the story around this innovative character.
