Addicted to Santino

Rate this book
Santino Morelli is Tall. Dark. And oh so dirty . . . GINA When we first met, Santino called me “crazy, with a stick wedged between my . . .” Yes, he went there. He had the nerve to sound delectable while speaking in Italian. Santino’s captivating eyes filled with surprise when he learned I’m bilingual, as I chewed him out. Let me clarify, I placed the Italian and his muscles in a box labeled “for stress relief only.” Maybe Santino’s ability to worship and show affection lessened my convictions. I learned my lesson though, a couple of weeks before Christmas. Goodbye, Dirty Santino! SANTINO Gina “The Grinch” Galloway shattered my heart. Full I took a few stripper gigs, but I only had eyes for her. I’m a blue-collar, pipe laying—literally, ladies, I’m a pipe layer, and I’m good at it. I needed to buy an engagement ring for the woman I admired as strong-willed, not Ms. Scrooge. Forget a second chance romance. Once I return the smile to Gina’s gorgeous face, she’ll learn you don’t give up on love. I just have to tell my heart that this is all revenge, baby. This time, I’ll be the one to say goodbye, my curvy Ms. Grinch! This Christmas comedy will leave you shaking your head at the drama and loving the nice and toasty moments. Once Gina surrenders her heart, will Santino remember how she was all he ever needed? Enjoy this standalone, laugh out loud HEA on a cold night!

Didn’t care for this one. Couldn’t keep my attention and thought it was a bit boring. There was a good amount of love scenes and all but the story didn’t gel. Santino and Gina had chemistry but Gina was a bit much. I’m fact, she was a tyrant. Not really liking the main heroine sort of puts a damper in attempts to enjoy a book so it’s a no for me.

I wanted to edit this review because the edit I wrote is showing up nowhere on Goodreads so I will restate: PLEASE STOP CALLING YOUR MAN DADDY! It is a major turnoff in a romantic scene. I assure you the LAST person I want to think about is my father when I am about to fuck my husband's brains off. It seems like a sick version of naming someone a title they may be however I would stop short when it came to sex. Please people, author, your dad is your dad not your sex partner. Ugh!
Also, after thinking about it a little more, the heroine was not that likable. She waffles where her dad was concerned and her sister with the dumb husband was Messy! Usually I like reading stories about strong, yet human Black women but this one fell short. Next time I will be a little more honest in my review. Better luck next time MS. Avant....

Wow!
Another great read from Amaire, Santino knew who he wanted and that was Gina he wasn't going to allow anyone to stand in his way not father are sister. Alexander is something else I would love to know what he has on her father.

Smart & Sexy Holiday Rollercoaster

Santino is all kinds of sexy Alpha charm that wants nothing more than to have all of Gina. Gina is a beautiful mouthy, sexy curvy, head strong woman that doesn't see the big sexy Santino coming and wants nothing more to consume every aspect of her and make her his! This story makes you cheer😁, scowl 🤬and laugh🤣 with these two. Just the right combination put together to make this an enjoyable Christmas story. Well done Ms. Avant!🙌🏽

"Addicted to Santino" by Amarie Avant

My Speculation:

An enjoyable, entertaining hot chemistry read "Addicted to Santino" was with one Alpha male, Santino, an Italian hottie that fell for the strong, black woman Gina. If you are looking for love, hot sex, banter, and romance, you have come to the right place. I loved how Santino was determined to win back Gina and to see how love conquers all when it's all said and done.

Meh

I usually like Ms Avant’s books but this one didn’t hit the mark for me. First of all it’s supposed to be a rom com but Gina wasn’t likable at all. I’m all for strong heroines but Gina came across as just bitter and rude to people whilst being a complete mouse with her father. Not attractive at all. Santino was better although he was too soft with Gina to make a convincing strong hero. He should have either been dominant and confident (I.e not dancing to try to show off and buy a ring he couldn’t afford) or a doormat letting Gina talk to him any kind of way and do her bidding. I was expected a dynamic were Gina needed to be strong at work but was quite happy to surrender at home, not a harpie everywhere. The whole situation with Gabriella left a very sour taste in my mouth. First of all for someone like Gina who prides herself in being strong, the whole going into hiding and letting Gabriella sort out her issues felt wrong. Instead of having a conversation with Santino, the name calling and hissy fits were just annoying. The whole kidnapping was just ridiculous and immature. Here is Santino, someone who went on the straight and narrow for years, risking his freedom while his mother and niece really need him for what? For “revenge” and a birthday celebration? Didn’t make sense. Nor did the whole going on the run instead of Gina just calling her family to say that it was a misunderstanding and that she was fine. The ending was also very abrupt. I was hoping that Gina would at last stand up to her father and either get promoted or strike out on her own. Instead she was off to a vacation? This didn’t fit with the narrative.

All I need with this book was a holiday plate!

This is a great story! It's a mix of some of Favorites things... Diversity, Romance, Comedy, and Family. With characters that highlight some of the very real family relationship dynamics in real life. Also, it was quite nice to have a Black American Heroine character (and her family) who are not struggling financially reflected in "Addicted to Santino". We, humans, make different choices when the hardships of everyday survival are not a constant worry. So that was refreshing to see in a book.

I do want a novel or at least a novella for Geraldine and Zane, their appearances in this book gave me more than curiosity about their back and current story.

Lastly, if you loved the Make Me Stay (duet) by Amarie Avant you will enjoy the mini crossover/easter egg. But if you haven't read Make Me Stay 1 and 2... go and back and read it.

She wasn't really a grinch

All Gina Galloway needed was the right stimulus. She found it in Santino Morelli. She thought she could hit it and quit it and go on about her way. She didn't expect to become addicted to Bad Santa. Bad Santa knew what he wanted when he first laid eyes on Gina. He knew she was his future wife. Neither of them expected the real Grinch of Gina's family to interfere with their relationship. She tried it but thank goodness love prevailed. Gabby found out that karma is broth beotch and she got hers. Love comes unexpectedly sometimes and we don't choose with whom we fall in love with or what station in life they are from. Who are we to turn down love when it presents itself? Gina and her oldest sister Geraldine most certainly did not.

I enjoyed reading this story. I just didn't like the way it ended. I was hoping for more of an HEA for Gina and Santi. Maybe the author has more planned for them in a future book.

Ok, but not spectacular

You kinda see how the relationship btwn Gina and Santino develops, but it reads more sex than anything with the couple. No real advancements in the relationships, how she is apparently emotionally withholding even though you don't pick up on it until the mid/3/4 of the way through the story, but they move in together😑. You don't get to see what happens with some of the really important relationships..the dysfunction Galloway family and what is his family really into. What was the whole resolve, reasons and everything that happened to lead to the debacle that leads to FBI take down. I had taken a big break from reading this author, the story development can be so hit and miss. Your are left confused and trying to figure out what happened or where you missed things

Get it Santa

I enjoyed the book. Its was an okay story and the storyline was great

1. I agree with the others, the term Daddy. Its not my thing but I won't hate aginst those who like calling their man that but there in such a thing as over use.

2. I loved Santino, he was very Alpha, a bit over-bearing but a generally great guy.

3. Gina was a true Grinch and unbearable, I didn't care for her character until like the last four chapters. Dirty Santa should've left her alone.

4. I love a book wit great love making scene a but I have to use the term over use again.

Overall the story was good but you will probably skip aome chapters.

This was cute read and very easy to read. There’s plenty of comedy and steamy sex scene yummy make me wish Santino was my man... you have a blue collar/stripper has his easy set on Miss Gina, she did give him a hard time but she finally cave to the Italian stallion that’s right you heard me Italian stallion. There is a rough spot where jealousy of a family members trying to destroy their relationship ,, the question is do those people succeed or failed miserably???? You have to click to find out..

Oh Santa Darling

Gina is a Grinch. She can't find the right guy to be in her life.

But in walks Santino Morelli. Sexy Alpha to his Core.

Ms. Gina thought he was the hit it and move on type of guy.

But oh boy was she in for a surprise.

These two was Hilarious and I loved thier chemistry together and those sexy Dance moves had me so Hot and Bothered.

This was one Sexy Rom com that Mrs Avant delivered. Got this last night and couldn't put it down.

First off, Amarie never disappoints! From the very beginning, the chemistry between Santino & Gina jumped right off of the pages. The two were complete opposites, yet the author brouught themtogether in a fierce love story that's full of passion and all of the feels. The story comes with an onslaught of drama that'll make you laugh out loud and even cuss, but at the heart of this awesome read is a solid story of two people falling head over heels in love. Well worth the ride!

This book gave me life. I loved the chemistry between the two characters, the back and forth, the not quite insta-love but yet insta-love feel (in a good way). This story had all the elements I need in a romance book, love, sexiness, dare I say sex (like I said the chemistry was off the chain between the two) and a HEA. I don't want to give to much away so I suggest you download the book to have a sensual romantic exerience.

A smile a minute!

This is a story about a strong, independent, yet curvaceous black woman and the equally strong and exquisitely hunky Italian hottie that fell in love with her at first sight. The titillating banter between the two and his dogged determination to convince her that she's his future wife leads to interesting antics, family drama and challenges. A must read to find out if love conquers all and if love at first sight really exists.

Hmmmm ...... Ok

This book had the potential to be really good but for me personally I just didn't understand what was going on. The story kinda dragged on about nothing although the sex scenes were🔥🔥🔥🔥, it seems that's all Gina and Santino had in common. I didn't like how her dad treated her in the work environment and basically praised Steven when he was a fk up. The ending didn't really make sense cause I feel I didn't get closure for the crap Gabby pulled.💚💚

Santino & Gina

The minute Santino seen Gina, he was enamoured... he declared that's his future wife. The man knows what he wants, as for Gina, she was in lust... anything beyond that???!!!! Mhm!?
How can they let Cora and Gabriella get away with what they did? That's rape? It's as punishable as kidnapping?
Grab your copy and let Gina and Santino take you through their journey.

This is definitely a wonderful way to start the Holidays off. Heck, this book had me pulling my earrings off and crack both my hands and Amy neck.
Read it and you’ll know what I am talking about.

Total Enjoyment.

New book boyfriend

I fell in love with Santino from the beginning of this book. I found his lady love to be a bit difficult at times but thankfully he was time enough or her. The angst was plausible, the sex was inspiring (😉) and the in-laws were awful people but Dirty Santa was delicious. Read this book immediately!

Hot mess

This was a hot mess. Gina was kind of annoying. She was like a fake alpha-female. She really didn’t command much respect at all. I was waiting for her to be a boss babe, but really she was just another overlooked woman in the workplace.🙄
Santi was annoying too. Doing stupid stuff he knew he shouldn’t have been doing.

Hot mess overall, but I finished it.

I liked it

Gina Galloway doesn’t have time for love. So Santino Morelli makes it his mission to have her fall in love with him.

This book has all the smut. Every piece and and particle. These two were going at it like rabbits. That being said, the drama was out a lot, and they really should have talked more.

If you like good sex and a ton of drama, this is for you.

Wow

Enjoyed the book. These was some of the craziest couples I have ever read about. Both crazy as hell, but lovable. Some of the crazy stuff that is done by them, or to them from others is off the chain(old school).Love and that you. Can't wait or can wait for die for you.

Bad Santa Loves the Grinch

It's love at first site when Santino Morelli lays eyes on Gina Galloway. He just has to convince her that his feelings for her are genuine. So what if he moonlights as a stripper and she's bougie as hell...

I am sorry but I could not complete this book. It was all over the place. I could not remain interested and the sex was okay but the main storyline was not holding my attention. I may return to re-read it at a future date but right now, not working for me.

Pretty decent read

I enjoyed this book for what it was. Some parts were a little hard to get by but it was definitely page turning in some areas. I wish there would’ve been more at the end. Maybe a prologue to see a little of their future.
