Forgotten Trilogy #3

Before All Else

Rate this book
I was living in the dark for the longest.

Loving her showed me the light.

And now I have two reasons to remember every bit of my missing memory – Aaliya & Rian. I will never give them up. Nothing will keep me apart from them again.

I will protect my wife and son.

My name is Damien Talbot and I am the Duke of Kittridge. I will remember who is conspiring against my family. And I will make them pay.

That is a promise!

An interesting end to a thriller. I started this book as soon as I finished the second book because I wanted to know who was after the family. The story moves back and forth between Aaliya and Damien and has been written in first person from the point of view of both of them, and the name of the chapter is the name of the person whose point of view is being put forward.
The characters have been developed in detail and the back stories keep coming up and the continuity from the previous book is beautifully maintained. I loved Aaliya’s determination and strength. I loved Damien’s protectiveness. The relationship between Aaliya, Jasmine, Damien and his friends, Gabriel and Jonathan has been portrayed well. I would love to read Jasmine, Jonathan and Gabriel’s stories too. And Mike as well.
I loved how the author merged this series with the Sehgal Saga and now I feel that we shall be seeing the Talbots in the Sehgal books as well.
This series is not only a romantic thriller, but also is a lot about friends, family and understanding. The story is fast paced and the language is simple. The twists and turns make the story is unputdownable.

This is the last book of the Forgotten Trilogy featuring Damien and Aaliya, and I absolutely loved reading it. All the suspense and mysteries were finally solved in this one.

However, not all the answers came as a shock to me—I already had my suspicions about the culprit (two people were on my suspect list), and I was right about one of them all along.

My favorite character in this book has to be Aaliya. Though she did annoy me at times with how persistent she was, I absolutely love that woman. Her personality, her confidence, her attitude—I love everything about her. And the way she never gave up on Damien from start to finish was truly commendable.

If I were in her place, I probably would’ve killed Damien. Or myself. (Most likely Celia, Samantha, and Sarah 😤).

Also, as I’ve said before, I’m obsessed with the author’s writing style. She already has a bunch of books published, and I’m going to take my sweet time devouring every single one of them—not to mention all her future books too!

Finally, I’ve read the entire backlist of Sapna Bhog 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I absolutely loved this series, the forgotten trilogy is not my favourite series by her (because the Sehgal saga exists😉) but this was such a fun ride. Sapna Bhog truly knows how to write swoon worthy billionaires and she makes us fall in love with them every time 😍😍😍😍
I will miss these characters, and I hope that we will get Jas and Jonathan’s story one day😉😉😉

My Take:
A fitting end to the trilogy that has managed to keep the readers hooked. It talks about Aaliya and Damien’s journey, The trials and tribulations they undergo and how they stand strong and win eventually.

A story that started with Damien forgetting his past and how Aaliya travels from Mumbai to London and is constantly driven up to the wall. How her efforts and constant faith in her love starts paying off when Damien starts remembering a few things and how they start falling in love with each other again. All the characters and their roles are etched well in the finale. I loved the way the Sehgals become a part of this journey.

The highlight for me is the way the emotions of Aaliya is captured. Her nervousness, anxiety, helplessness and uncertainty. The friendships and family always play an important role in Sapna’s books and this one also holds up the ritual.. Jonathan and Gabe Damien’s friends also deserve a special mention. Hope the author develops there and Jasmine’s story also sometime. The suspense is well maintained till the end.

One of the best series ever!!!!
.
The book finally completes the unanswered questions in the most thrilling way. The narration is definitely a page turner with the amazing writing style which makes the reader complete the book in a single sitting. The incidents are very well executed I'll say as with multiple characters and multiple incidents it's remarkable how the author gives the read the answers and at the same time maintains the curiosity. The character development as I always say is amazing portrayed by the author. The way she builds the supporting character in a way which makes reader want to know their story too is her strong potential and she definitely uses it to her advantage.
I loved this book for its gripping storyline, amazing narration, strong character development and a really breathtaking plot.
Definitely check this series!

I’ve finally finished the third book in the Forgotten Trilogy, and I absolutely loved it 😍. This book is filled with unexpected twists and thrilling turns.

Once again, in this book too the author portrays Aaliya’s determination and bravery, and Damien’s possessiveness and protection. The novel also beautifully highlights the power of true friendship. It's lovely to see how the characters support each other through the hard times.

The book is fast-paced and intriguing. The characters were well developed. The ending was satisfying with a perfect conclusion.

If you're looking for a series with romance, possessiveness, and thrilling twists, this one is a perfect choice.

An amazing read.

The whole series is just the perfect. After reading the forst two books it was so damn difficult to wait for the suspense to end and finally the end was just out if the box. The story has so many surprises, suspense, drama, love l, romance and passionate sex.

All the characters have their own strong character and role to play.

Author has done the fabulous job explaining the whole story in simple language. The plot of the story is just perfect and every book has a mind blowing story line.

Do read the series highly recommended 👍👍

The push and pull between Damien & Aaliya continued in this book too and it took so long for the truth to be revealed. Everything was so predictable and now I think, there was no need to stretch the story too much and three books were definitely unnecessary. The only good things in the book were the b**ch Celia being k***ed off, Damien's mother being cut off and the last chapter with the epilogue. Still, I was looking forward to see Damien groveling for lying about his previous life to Aaliya and also for leaving Jonathan behind but after a single conversation, everything was forgotten, which was disappointing tbh. I expected better fron this trilogy considering I have enjoyed some of the author's previous books but this was really a let down, ngl.

The last read in the trilogy and just as good as the previous two books. Lots of twists and turns to this murder mystery / thriller. Will everything turn out ok? I guess that's up to you to read the books and find out. Definitely worth it.

A predictable Ending

Lots of twists and turns and revaluation of many secrets, but the end of the twists is predictable, which turns off the light for me.

Beautiful culmination of the trilogy and one of best multi-racial stories depicting the propensity for love and close familial ties.

It sets the bar for books on caucasian-indian multi-racial romance from a personal stand-point. Loved the trilogy aside from the fanatical ex-girlfriend.

The love between Damien and Aaliya is strengthened by the bonds of family, friendship and kinship. Jonathan, Jasmine,Gabe, Mike are amazing characters majestically woven and form an intrinsical link that hold this story together.

Hopefully, more emerging stories where the supporting male characters also find a female indian partner followed by their individual spin-off novels i.e.Jonathan, Jasmine, Gabe, Zara.
