Collared Ever After #2
Lollipops and Leashes
Sometimes the Daddy you are looking for isn’t a Daddy at all.
Evan Taylor gave up finding a Daddy years ago. Instead, he focuses on his successful candy shop, embracing his little side on his own. It’s not the same as being taken care of and being loved, but it’s something. Playdates, craft hours, and story times at Club Collared help fill the void left by being daddyless—sort of.
Sebastian Hunter never expected to be back in the city, but there he is working a stressful job as a systems analyst and missing country life. What he really needs is a Master, someone to take control and allow him to fully sink into his puppy space when his workday is done. He joins a local puppy play group, and it fills the void of being masterless—sort of.
When Sebastian’s puppy pack joins forces with Collared to raise money for a local youth center, the last thing he expects is to see his first love, Evan, and especially not in a diaper. But then again, Sebastian is wearing a tail.
The two reconnect, the sparks and feelings from their old relationship resurfacing quickly. Only one thing stands in their way: they both need what the other can’t give—or can they?
Lollipops and Leashes is a second-chance MM romance featuring a little with no daddy, a pup with no master, an old flame rekindled, lots of sugar, two men discovering if they can be enough for their one true love, and the sweetest thing of all...a happily ever after. Lollipops and Leashes is book two in the Collared Ever After MM romance series; each focuses on a new couple who find their Kinkily Ever After at Club Collared while keeping in touch with old friends.

2.5* I liked the idea here. A Little without a Daddy and a pup without a master. They dated in university and were deeply in love but broke up when they graduated so Evan could go to study pastry in France and Sebastian went off to do whatever he does. They run into each other years later, neither one having been aware of their kinks. They are still in love but have to find a way to make it work since they don't want a third.
My problem was I found a lot of stuff was just glossed over and they'd get to a precipice and then... later it was just said everything was working out. They are at the club to meet Evan's friends for the first time, Sebastien is a bit nervous about being a pup and meeting a pup friend of Evan's, and as they are getting ready to leave the change room... skip ahead to several weeks later. So I felt like I wasn't really able to see how they worked it out, we're just told they did. So nothing particularly wrong with it, just left me feeling that a lot of the story happened off page which was what I wanted.

I'm liking this series...very interesting matchups. This one in particular was something new for me. A little looking for a daddy and a pup looking for a master but love overcomes titles. Evan and Sebastian reconnected after years apart...the love is still there. They are different people now and want different things but are willing to give each other what both needs. This was a different kind of kink story for me and I liked it.The beginning was kind of slow to get into but once the guys met at Collared things moved at a nice pace. Straight love and romance...no angst...some play and a little steam to keep this an entertaining read.

Why is it so short? I'm such a sucker for friends to lovers and this could've been twice as long and made even better.

Um..too sweet?!
Yeah, it was just too sweet.
The chemistry between Evan and Sebastian was wafting off the pages, it was that strong but there was no conflict and any sort of bump in the story. Everything was fluffy and smooth sailing till the HEA arrived with its rainbows and unicorns.
I do not like people to be that happy lmao.

Lollipops and Leashes is the second book in the Collared Ever After serie by Della Cain. This story is about Evan, a Little without a Daddy and Sebastian, a Pup without a Master. Can it work? Can they be what the other needs?
I really liked their story. It was so sweet. Can't wait for the next book!

Evan runs his own candy store and makes fantastic candy creations. He is also a Little without a Daddy. To fill his desires for a Daddy temporarily Evan either borrows a friend's daddy or goes to the club for a scene. Evan really longs for a daddy of his own. Then he attends a fundraiser at his club for a teen center and he sees his first love Sebastian. They loved each other greatly but went their separate ways after college. Evan went to Paris to learn more about treat making. Evan is thrilled to see Sebastian. His feelings still run very strong but the problem is Sebastian isn't a Daddy like Evan needs.
Sebastian has learned a lot more about himself since college. He had really loved Evan and still does but Sabastian is a pup in search of a master. Evan is definitely not a master. Evan is a true little in need of a Daddy. Even though the two love each other they aren't what the other needs or maybe they could be. Maqybe a pup could be a Daddy and maybe a pup could be happy with a boy of his own.

Candy shop owner Evan Taylor gave up finding his own Daddy years ago and so focuses on his business and mostly embraces his Little side on his own or on playdates either with friends or at kink club Collared. Sebastian Hunter is working a successful job as a systems analyst having returned to the city and needs a Master to take control and let him sink into his puppy space when his workday is done. When the puppy pack joins with the Collared club the last thing he expected was to see his first love Evan in a diaper. The two reconnect, the sparks and feelings from their old relationship resurfacing quickly. Only one thing stands in their way: they both need what the other can’t give - or can they?
I loved that in this story they recognised that their love for each other transcended everything else and that they could actually be enough for a Daddy or Master that the other needed in order to be happy and fulfilled - another lesson on how everything in a BSDM-like relationship was negotiable and that the full deal was not always what the other needed. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like relationship featuring aspects of DDLB, puppy play and ABDL.

This could of easily been a 4-5 star book. I feel completely cheated out of a complete story. I absolutely loved the characters and the resolution to not having a complete master/daddy-pup/boy relationship between two characters that love each other. I liked that they found contentment with how their relationship would work for them. But the over all story lacked a depth in story telling.
I definitely got caught up on the name "Bastian". The name rolls off of Evan's tongue in the midst of a hot and sexy "rubbies" session as a little. So, I thought it weird that he would name his pup the same thing when not a little. I think it would of added a bit more of a separate dynamic if Evan named his pup something different when he wasn't little Evan.
Sebastian has this fantasy of being fucked by Little Evan. When Evan decides to say that he would like to give him his fantasy Evan does as himself and not as Little...this really irked me. There was a hot kink with Sebastian's fantasy and the author didn't follow through.

True love means, you will make it work! I'm still me and you're still you. Evan doesn't have his own daddy. He needs to be a little for stress relief. Evan, is looking for true love. Sebastian was overwhelmed at work. He did three times the work without the pay. Evan and Sebastian, knew each other in college were best friends and were each other's first love. They amicably broke up after graduation deciding their paths were diverging. Seb, moved into puppy kink and Evan is a little. They were both looking for Masters and chose to go it alone. Max, was another of Seb's friends, along with Julian. They defied the odds and fit. Seb and Evan surprisingly met up at an event. They reconnected as if no time had passed. Will they accept each other's kinks? Do their kinks fit in a relationship? How does a pup and a little work? Good story. Evan and Bastian are two of the nicest guys ever. Nicely done! I thought that this was a sweet second chance book. Evan longs for a daddy while Sebastian wants a master. Sebastian and Evan were lovers in college but went separate ways for work. Now, after years, they have found each other and what to be with each other but their needs are different. These are embark in a relationship that is just for their needs but still learning what the other needs at the same time. I loved the connection and the chemistry between Sebastian and how there spark from years ago is still here and flaming hotter. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next book the series. I would recommend this book, series, and Della Cain as a fantastic author!

This book is amazing! The second book in the Collared Ever After series is the story of Evan and Sebastian and it is a definite must read! The two were lovers once but went their separate ways to pursue their dreams. Now, years later, they meet again and find out some new things about each other. One is a little, the other is a pup. The love they had for each other is still there and they vow to give a relationship another try, hoping they can be everything the other one needs. They learn all about this new part of each other and find that they don't have to be Daddy and Master to be everything to each other.

2.5- stars - I don't get the high ratings. This book was nice and sweet and also really boring. The characters were flat, I didn't get emotionally invested at all.
I do feel bad to round my rating down, but it really was a hollow read and definitely more on the 'okay' side of the scale than the 'I like it' side. It could also be read as a standalone, at least more than the first book, which I cannot recommend reading if you haven't read Ryder's trilogy first.
I can see myself rounding my rating up If in a giving mood, so I'll give the third book a chance (mostly because I had all four books on my reader before starting this series, might as well read it - but I can't recommend this series so far).

Kinda disappointing
I was hoping for something more like Aiden and Logan in Undisclosed Curiosity. That possibly made this a bit disappointing to me. I just had this picture in my head of the little and pup walking into Collared together like the aforementioned book. I don't really understand why the author didn't go there.
I always have a hard time getting into books when the characters have a past we don't know about. I wish there was a prologue with at least some of it and their goodbyes then having x years later starting the book. If it was said how long they were separated I didn't see it. I feel like that little addition would have given their story so much more depth.

I love these short Daddy/little/pup stories. I don't think this one was as good as the first in the series but I love a second chance romance so I enjoyed it anyway. I liked Evan from previous books and am happy he got a HEA. Sebastian was not as fleshed out for me but perhaps because he was a newly introduced character and this book was only a little more than 100 pages. When you're looking at such a short book a rekindling romance is perfect though.
I would recommend that a new reader should pick up Della Cain's Collared by Love series before reading this series as that throuple (I don't like that word...polyamorous maybe is better ) relationship kind of builds the foundation for this one. Plus I adore Danny, Luke, and Ryder so much.

Evan is a little without a Daddy. Sebastian is a pup without a Master. Years ago, in college, before they knew about their little & pup sides, they were deeply in love. When circumstances reunite them, it doesn't take them long to see that the love is still there, and everything else, they can make work. This is a super sweet, low angst story about two people who care deeply for each other learning to be what each other needs while remaining true to themselves. It's a beautiful love story, and a really uplifting take on kink that emphasizes the importance of communication and trust.

This is a fairly low angst book about two men who have had a relationship that only broke up because one of them was going to Europe to study. Years later the two main characters see each other at a munch and along with re connecting they realize that one is a puppy and one is a little. The problem then is that while they each need a Daddy, neither wants to bring another man into the relationship. This book is then about how they find a way to work together to solve this problem. This is a fun light hearted easy read book.

Lollipops and Leashes is a great addition to the Collared Ever After series. It's the second book in the series. Evan and Sebastian were perfect together. Since they had already had a relationship in the past and already knew all of their likes and dislikes, it was just about them reconnecting and figuring out how to get their Puppy and Little needs met without having a Master or Daddy, which they had no problem doing. I thought it was one of the best books that I have read by Della Cain. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This story is a prime example of true communication.
Evan runs his own business and keeps him busy but also lonely.
Sebastian is an attorney who is working a stressful job.
In college they loved each other but was not sure how to go about their relationship working so they went their own way.
They meet at Collared as both of their groups come together to help a fundraiser for a teen center.
Time works out and helps to make the possibility of this relationship work out.

This book was a very cute and quick read. But I agree with what someone else said that it felt like a lot of things were just glossed over. Like you have a pup and a little that used to know each other and date and are finding each other again and coming back together. And they start out recognizing that there might be problems or challenges that come from not always being what the other person needed...but then everything was just good. Don't get me wrong I love happy loving stories, but I feel like there could have been more and it could have gone deeper.

Read this while on vacation and it was a cute story of Evan, a "little" who needed a "Daddy" but wasn't going to settle for just anyone. He's reunited with his friend Sebastian who he discovers is into "pup" kink. The two fulfill a need in each other and together march into a happy future.
Some characters from the author's other series make cameo appearances and the story runs pretty smoothly with several other daddies helping out until Evan gets his balance. All in all a nice story but certainly not the author's best.

As part of a reading challenge, I needed a book with a lollipop on the cover that was a minimum of 150 pages, so I grabbed this and went in blindly. You’d think I would have learned my lesson by now…
Big. Mistake.
I didn’t think I had kink limits when it comes to reading - turns out I found my limits! I really don’t like yucking someone else’s yum, but this one gets a hard no from me. I had full-body shudders a few times. Hey - at least I now know I can’t do the “little” thing in books, so thanks for helping me discover what I don’t like.

Great story
I absolutely adored this story. Evan and Sebastian were so cute together. This is a second chance story about a little in need of a Daddy and a pup in need of a master. Can they make it work without a third? I was so excited for this book and the author definitely didn’t let me down, this was a fantastic story. I can’t wait to read more. Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Sebastian is masterless he ends up having play dates with other puppies on his own. Evan likes being a little and he needs a daddy. Evan and Sebastian have history, their old feelings come back can they make it work, compromise, communicate and understanding. This book was sweetly hot.

This book is a good example of how honest communication between a couple and both learning and understanding their partners needs can make a relationship work. The love and respect between Sebastian and Evan is wonderful. The secondary characters and the world building bring the story together beautifully and make it feel real. There were some grammatical issues, but overall a good story.

Puppy + Little - Second Chance
This was a really sweet addition to the Collared Ever After series. I loved how Evan and Sebastian found their own rthym and space to be what each needed - without compromising their individual personalities. It just goes to show that the BDSM lifestyle is as unique and fluid as the people that partake in it. There's no one right way. I can't wait to continue with this series and i look forward to visits from all our old friends. So cute!

Evan and Sebastian loved each other as college students. Their paths diverged and it was years before they met up again. At a fundraiser for a youth home that had lost a major contributor because of their inclusive policy.
Evan is a little. And Sebastian is a pup. Despite their continuing love for each other, they don't know if they can provide each other with what they need to make a relationship work.
Not your usual daddy/little story. This was a fresh take on the genre.

(2.5~2.75) i’m not into age play at all but saw this dynamic was between a little and a pup? so i was like yeah! let me try this one out because how would that work? and it did work—it was a sweet story! the only thing i didn’t like was how there was too much telling and not enough showing. there were a lot of time skips where certain plot points could go into more detail but instead were glossed over. that made the story and characters quite underdeveloped and lacking depth, but…i still enjoyed it overall? i need more authors writing interesting dynamics like this though. 🥺

Spoliers!!!
This book made me so happy! Evan deserved this happy ever after! The fact that he and sebastian were both willing to try to comprise to make the other happy! Sebastian had traits that made him into a more dominant person and evan had traits that made him able to care for Bastians pup. They both worked out so well, I was worried when it started this would end out like so many.. but it was amazing
