In addition to Indiana, he's lived in Southern California, where the Pixie Twist series is set, and has served as a history docent on a notable pier in SoCal. In his past lives, he's been a journalist, a wedding photographer, and an adjunct professor.
Alyn gets assistance from his fuzzy familiar (AKA "Lord Fuzzbutt"). When not helping his human with the writing of paranormal cozy mysteries, Lord Fuzzbutt likes to sit out outside and watch the hummingbirds dart about like pixies. He often yowls at the door, waiting to head to the patio for chipmunk duty. Fortunately, the little rodents are craftier than Fuzzbutt is.
Alyn's beverage of choice is dark roast coffee with a dash of honey, and a splash of half-n-half. In addition to being half-way competent with his home espresso machine, Alyn makes a mean Mai Tai.

Great Summer Read!
A brilliant homage to Dame Christie in pure Mystic Brew style! Alyn Troy's ability to blend elements of the renowned mystery into the adventure of Ebrel and company makes for a delightful read full of Italian flair!

Mundanes and Magicals mingle on the Italian coast as Ebrel's father, mundane real estate tycoon, David Storm, and his long-time assistant & true love, Cynthia finally tie the knot. However, that weekend also sees the FLOSS convention of spell weavers & sorcerers from the top fae families in Europe. Should be easy to keep them apart, right? While riding on a magical train to Italy, Ebrel meets a silent star fae actor who relates the tragic murder of his wife & the theft of her gem on that same island 33 years ago. Seems many stars, producers and writers from that era are fae and just keep reappearing as their descendants. With a nosy author, an arrogant barista at the hotel who's determined to compete with Ebrel to prove he's best and a murder of course, it's up to Ebrel and her BFF, Elain, secret agent extraordinaire, to find the present killer & maybe solve the older murder. Oh yes, and see her father and Cynthia married without them finding out about the fae & magic all around them.
This series has a whimsical feel with the many mythical characters but packs a serious punch when it comes to figuring out the murder when magic is involved

Ebrel, Io and Elain travel by train to the wedding ,meeting an actor from the silent movie era
Who tells the sad story of his murdered wife and a stolen gem
Ebrel's dad and his love-of-a-life-time finally tie the knot . easy-peasy , right ?? ...............right ?!?!
Not with a talking cat , a annoying macho barista, some ghosts, and a nosy writer around
(Magical) sparks fly, somebody get a scolding I NEVER hope to get ,
Io gets a commision piece to make from Elain's mother no less !!!!!
Ebrel's dad is the big surpise in the 6 th installment of the series
A murder is solved , a killer is exposed.....
Yup the scooby doo team is once again saving the day
Ebrel, Io and Elain travel by train to the wedding ,meeting an actor from the silent movie era

Yes, I enjoy these, possibly because we have traveled to Wales.
Just don't be there when there's mad cow disease. This was a few years ago, when you had to drive through and walk through disinfectant. Part of a three week visit to the UK. Be sure to look up Welsh language! When we lived in Colorado we went to several events, including rugby, sponsored by the Welsh Society. Go to see wonderful Welsh castles and enjoy the pubs. Now it's on to the next book.

Ebrel, Elain, Punkin & Jake take a trip to Italy for a special occasion.
The hotel that they are staying at also has mundanes staying there so
they must be careful that their true identities aren’t revealed. The scenery
is beautiful, but there is an aura of bad things about to happen so everyone
must be vigilant in order to deal with any threats. The crew gets to bring
closure to one of the guests who suffered a tragedy long ago.

Lots of cool magic with excellent mystery
Alyn Troy is such a great storyteller with a twisty mystery and likeable characters. I'm a fan of this series yet this book was a bit different with a destination wedding on a private resort island in Italy. It was a nice change for the series with new characters. I loved the book!!

A vacation, a wedding, and a murder
Ebrell finally is off to her fathers wedding with her bestie to a remote island. On the way there meets some actors of old and a couple mysteries to solve. Oh and a coffee making competition. A fun new mystery with Ebrell and the gang.

I enjoyed this book so much!! I really like the storyline and the backstory and how they supported the main storyline. It was very well constructed and put together and I love the way it was revealed! So glad that David is now in the picture, he’s really a great character!!!

This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!

I loved this book. Ebrel and crew are trying to solve mysteries on an Italian island. This book was a fast-paced read.
