Hello, thanks for giving this a read. Just a little about me.
I'm from the West Midlands, United Kingdom and I've loved Fantasy books ever since I could remember.
One of my favourite series is by Raymond E. Feist. That long set of books spread over many series started the backbone of my reading life, and I've branched out from there. You can’t beat a good fantasy book that draws you in.
But I don't just read Fantasy books, but Sci Fi and some Horror as well. Brian Lumley is one of my favourite Horror authors. Got to love his Necroscope series.
Sci fi wise, I've currently embarked on reading the Horus Heresy Books, so any WH40K fans want to chat come find me on my Facebook page.
Another Sci Fi favourite of mine are the Commonwealth books by Peter F Hamilton. Something about them speaks to me, almost as if we’re just short of springing into space as a Race now. I hope I see humans living on other planets before my time here is done.
But… Back to my books. I've got a lot planned for this series of mine, lots of spin offs, prequel books and further exploration of my world. So please follow me and keep your eyes peeled for my new releases.
Let me start by stating this book was much better than the first. This installment flowed better and we got to see a bit more of the chief antagonist. One of the things I liked best was the First Sword. The intelligence incorporated into it was really cool. I also liked how Tank was brought more into the story. The action was good, though the fight scenes could use a bit more 'ummph', if you know what I mean. The baddies from another dimension are still over-charged, but it appears that the author is working on that a little bit, although I discover the Dark Master is really only a servant to a being who must be even more overpowered. We'll see. I was disappeared that there was nothing in the story about the female knight taken captive, so I hope she reappears in the next book.
I really enjoyed book 2 and delighted I have book 3 to go straight into.
I found the pace between action and information great throughout the book and keeps the reader pulled in and focused on every detail.
Character introductions in book are well placed and again aren’t too much too quickly .
This story follows on with Darg Garrett & Arakar back in Rhineland with the task of tackling internal corruption they start to uncover the dark and dangerous forces in play . Storylines in multiple POV’s . This book also follows Sera & Tank on their journey expanding on their dynamic and the challenges . As we get little snippets of the backstory here , helping build on the story and getting the world and history bringing in different magical elements . Gripping and tense battle scenes.
