Only one problem, handsome cowboy Ryan Wylder keeps showing up and making offers her new business can’t refuse. I am enjoying this series. To look at Ryan you would think he has everything going for him. As we all know, there are things going on in our lives that others don’t see. He had an awful experience with an ex in his past that I could understand him not trusting a woman. He also had trust issues at time with what his brothers were telling him what is best for him. Since football in Texas is such a big deal, I can understand why he wants to put everything into his high school football team he is coaching. He does notice the new woman who moved in next door to his family’s home and is attracted to. Poor Carley has had her heart broken a couple of times by men and now has trust issues. The two feel they are perfect for each other that they won’t fall in love, be independent but only go out with each other, and can handle kissing without their hearts getting involved! You need to read the book to see how that works out for the two. There are some exciting moments in the book that I didn’t want to put the book down so I could see what was going to happen. I love this family and can’t wait for the next book. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars

The Cowboy’s Second Chance is book 3 in the Cowboys of Sweetheart Creek, Texas by Jean Oram and love this series!

Up next is the youngest Wylder brother, Ryan and next door neighbor Carly. Both have trust issues from past relationships but sparks fly, they push each other’s buttons and think they can do all this without their hearts getting involved...no likely! You definitely need to read on to see how it all ends...

Can’t wait for the next Wylder brother!

Another winner!
Carly and Ryan are strong, emotional, and very independent! They set sparks flying whenever they're in the same vicinity - and those sparks are a whole lot of fun. A great read!

This book begins with the new-in-town heroine pointing a gun at her next door neighbour when he shows up in her yard in the wee hours of the morning – and then, things get complicated.
This is the third book in Jean Oram's Cowboys of Sweetheart Creek series. As the title suggests, this is a second chance romance for a pair of characters who've had a rough time in the romance department. It's sweet, it's funny, it's thought provoking and sometimes it made me cry. Carly and Ryan are the kind of full-blown “real” characters you don't always find in the “sweet romance” category. They each have a past that's far from perfect and their relationship is full of all kinds of issues and impediments but they're strong individuals, capable of coming through the challenges and they're surrounded and supported by the Wylder family and the Sweetheart Creek residents fans of the series have come to love. Even Bill the armadillo manages to make his usual cameo.
I really enjoyed The Cowboy's Second Chance and I look forward to finding out what happens to the rest of the Wylder clan.

Ryan and Carly are quite a pair. They are both mule-headed and push each other's buttons without even trying. When they are together sparks fly. Their first encounter at the end of Book 2 sets the tone perfectly for their relationship. They face some problems that appear insurmountable at first glance but they both come to the realization that they can't let the past ruin their future. The Cowboy's Second Chance is a wonderful, sweet romance with well-developed likable characters that will hold your attention from start to finish. I love the town of Sweetheart Creek and it's cast of quirky characters.

Again, the characters seem real enough to walk off the page. Their situations seem real, too. The dialogue is wonderfully fun.

Along with the fun scenes there are some very poignant ones. Keep tissues handy!
It was interesting to read the difference between 7yo Ryan's view of things and the reality as seen by his older brothers. And it was interesting to see Ryan giving his mom advice.

The whole family is really loving and welcoming. Their interaction was a joy to see.

Ryan and Carly's story starts with a misunderstanding but soon enough Ryan gets Carly to see he is worth trusting. The Wylder family is fun and welcoming. I love hearing the different brothers recalling past events and seeing how each one sees things from a different perspective and how it shapes them. This series is great and I can't wait for the next book.

Bang, and they are off!
Ryan Wilder – High School Teacher and Football Coach
Carly Clarke – New neighbor of the Wilder's
Ryan is frustrated with the new neighbors livestock always getting onto their property. Deciding he has had enough he decides to wrangle the wayward goats and have a little chat with the new owner.
He is met by an angry, very sexy woman with a gun pointed right at him.
Mutual attraction is obvious, neither one wanting a relationship. Relationships are messy and just cause more headaches than they are worth. A few stolen kisses here and there, no one will know that is all either of them want. Or is it? They both have baggage they are trying to deal with.
Sometimes the past can hurt the future if you let it. Only the truest of love can survive the pain and give way for a second chance.

A great read

I really enjoyed this book! Two broken hearts managed to find a way together after swearing off the opposite sex. The town, the setting and supporting characters are a hoot. This is a fast paced, take & read anywhere, sweet clean romance you shouldn't miss.

Oh. My. God. The ending. I gave myself flutters and let out an "awww" while working on Cole and Jackie's HEA today. I really hope you love it as much as I do. He does the sweetest thing for Jackie. *swoon* (Shoot. Did I just spoil who he ends up with? Nah, if you read the book description you'll know. Plus, seriously. How could Jackie NOT end up with Cole after all of that pining she does in the first four books?)
