Wife, Mother, Writer, Lunatic. Not necessarily in that order.

"There is a fine line between genius and crazy... I like to use that line as a jump rope!"

June, who prefers to go by Bug, was born in Philadelphia but moved to Maui, Hawaii when she was four. She met her “Prince Charming” on Kauai and is currently living “Happily Ever After” on a hobby farm in a small town in Minnesota.

Her son and daughter are her greatest accomplishments. She takes pride in embarrassing them every chance she gets.

Being hopelessly addicted to 80's music is her super power.

Straight up Contemporary Romance. Not my usual faire, but it's been forever since Ms. Kramin gave us anything new, so I jumped on it anyway. Yeah, so I missed the action-supsense I get from her Hailey books, or sf from the Dustin books, but hey, Quentin: best book boyfriend in ages. A real sweetheart. I'm kinda done with the broody, catch-me-in-a good-mood-someday types. At least for now. Quentin manages to be an all-around sweetheart without losing an ounce of his masculinity. And the author makes it believable. Actually, she makes it all believable: the characters, the developing relationship, the issues they dealt with, the setting, events, etc. She even made me wish I was as nice a person as Jessie is (but without her problems). The great dialog (all her books have it) helps a lot, and the pacing is good too. Conflicts don't go on too long and they were resolved in non-coincidental ways. The story kept me guessing right up till the last page. Even though I KNEW it had to have a happy ending, she had me doubting. Comfort-food reading. Yum.

This is my first book by June Kramin and I understand the author's disclamer in the dedication- reading Quentin and Jessie's story was an amazing treat and although I was lucky to find my own real-life Quentin- I would probably be hard-pressed as well to part with Quentin's character, but I'm glad June shared him with the world. "88's, Baby" is a beautiful love story I recommend to readers who appreciate  realistically portraid characters and stories that jumps off the page. I received a free copy of this novel from the author and I enjoyed reading it very much. My review is voluntary and honest. If you're not familiar with CB radio lingo the title could be a bit confusing, 88's means love and kisses.

Romantic, easy and pleasant read

This book is a pleasant romantic change for the better. The characters and situations described in the book are very down to earth and believable. There is a mystery about Jesse that keeps you wanting to read in order to find out what her past is. There's a kindness and compassion from Quentin that makes you feel how he is feeling as the story moves along. I enjoyed not having to read about every detail of their love making like you do in oat of romance stories. Looking forward to reading more books from this author
