Once the hot-blooded shapeshifters in New York Times bestselling author Shelly Laurenston’s Pride series catch a scent of desire, the hunt is on, and every fang and claw are out and ready to take what truly belongs to them . . .
BEAST BEHAVING BADLY Some men just have more to offer. Like Bo Novikov: he’s part polar bear, part lion, and pure alpha . . . Ten years after Blayne Thorpe first encountered Bo, she still can't get the smooth-talking shifter out of her head. Now he's shadowing her in New York, determined to protect her from stalkers who want to use her in shifter dogfights. She may insist Bo's nothing but a pain in her delectable behind, but polar bears have patience in spades. Soon she'll realize how good they can be together. And when she does, animal instinct tells him it'll be worth the wait . . .
BIG BAD BEAST When it comes to following her instincts, former Marine Dee-Ann Smith never holds back. As a deadly member of a shifter protection group, she’ll do anything to prove one of her own kind is having hybrids captured for dogfights. But her too-cute, rich-boy boss Ric Van Holtz is making it real hard for Dee to keep her heart safe. He's wanted the fiercely independent she-wolf from day one, and he’s ready to show her what she needs is a wily, resourceful wolf who'll always have her back in a fight . . . and between the sheets.
BEAR MEETS GIRL Lou Crushek is a reasonable, mellow, easygoing kind of guy. But once someone starts killing the scumbags he works so hard to bust, that really gets under his fur. Especially when that someone is Marcella Malone, a curvy she-tiger from an elite feline protection unit ready to body drop anyone who hunts her kind. Her impressive skill set is turning Crush's lone-bear world upside down—and bringing his passion out of hibernation . . .
WOLF WITH BENEFITS Sure, Toni Jean-Louis Parker has to be the responsible oldest sister to a crazy-brilliant clan of jackal siblings. But now she's cutting loose for some hot, sweaty, no-commitments fun—and the sexy, slow-talking, swift-moving predator assigned to keep her family safe is just the right thing to shapeshift her love life into overdrive. Trouble is, Ricky Lee Reed's starting to get all obsessive wolf on her every time he looks in her direction . .>Once the hot-blooded shapeshifters in New York Times bestselling author Shelly Laurenston’s Pride series catch a scent of desire, the hunt is on, and every fang and claw are out and ready to take what truly belongs to them . . .
Originally from Long Island, New York, Shelly Laurenston has resigned herself to West Coast living which involves healthy food, mostly sunny days, and lots of guys not wearing shirts when they really should be. Shelly Laurenston is also The New York Times Bestselling author G.A. Aiken, creator of the Dragon Kin series. For more info on G.A. Aiken's dangerously and arrogantly sexy dragons, check out her website at www.gaaiken.com.
Finished up this series whilst waiting for Onyx Storm’s release.
Bo Novikov + Blayne = Bear-Cat (hybrid) + Wolfdog (hybrid) Ulric Van Holtz + Dee Ann Smith = Wolf + Wolf Cella Malone + Lou Crushek = Siberian Tiger + Polar Bear Ricky Lee + Toni = Wolf + Jackal
Of these four couples, I think Bo and Blayne’s was super sweet (SHOUT OUT TO RIC AND DEE THOUGH). I love that Blayne and Bo matches each other’s freak, and I love that she comes to the realization that the scary-looking-Bo is just incredibly misunderstood by the majority of their shifter brethren. I love Blayne’s relationship with her dad and I love Bo’s (kind of dysfunctional) relationship with his Uncle. And although both Bo and Blayne have a tragic history with their parents, I wish Laurenston would’ve dove deeper into that—because like wdym Blayne’s mom was hunted down? 👀👀 ANYWAY, I REALLY adored Bo in here even though he was sorely misunderstood in many of the other Pride books.
I also love the friendship with Bo and Crush, the bromance was just too cute in Cella and Crush’s book. And THAT particular couple is the definition of opposites attract (although the same could be said for the majority of those in this collection). Crush was super grumpy and Cella is super sunshine-y (but not as much as Blayne bc tbh no one can overdo Blayne except for herself lmfao).
Ric and Dee, the prologue of their first meeting was too damned cute and I wish they would’ve remembered their encounter earlier within the book instead of having a brief remembrance at the end, but i mean it is what it is. It was also so nice to see Darla Mae and Eggie again. Ric and Dee are THE power couple, but something in their story was lacking for me and Idk what it was, so they are not on the very top of my list of fav Pride couples.
Ricky Lee and Toni, were not too bad of a couple either. He is probably one of the best things to ever happen to Toni—he’s perfect for her and her for him. BUT THAT MENTION OF RORY WANTING TO SETTLE DOWN IN DEE’S BOOK???? I for sure thought Rory Lee was gonna get his own book too, but I guess not? Ricky got the pick instead ig, not that I’m complaining much. Livy is probably one of my most favorite female protagonists within this series. And her book with Vic is so good. BUT ANYWAYS, idk how Toni was surviving with all of her crazy ingenious siblings and there were 11 Jean-Parker Louis kids… SHEESH.
These books were definitely more plot driven than romance driven and are great reads if you’re here for good vibes and laughs though.
Mayhem?√ Murder? √ Crazy, unbelievable, ridiculous plots?√√√ This bundle has the most asinine storylines that simply make me want more. Blood and gore? Absolutely. Love, laughter and loyalty are in abundance. It is paranormal romance with lions, bears, wild dogs, wolves and then the mixed up bloods of all. Just enough animal kingdom similarities to make you visualize the dog chasing its tail, the lion roaring and the bear eating honey. If you have read any of this series, and you liked it, then you will love this bundle. I started reading these books after reading the honey badger series. I went back to find them all until I had read the back stories on each of the characters - Dee Ann Smith, Cella Malone, The Reed Boys, the mates, Bland, Novikov -- all of them. Now I need to go find more Shelly Laurenston books. She writes for my sense of adventure and humor.
