"I said when I was with you that I’d kiss every inch of your skin. I intend to keep my promise.”
Sophie Cotton doesn't want to take the Match test that will find her perfect partner among the billions of members of the Intergalactic Community. She's got a great life and a successful business as a lifestyle vlogger with her long term Human boyfriend, Anthony. So they might not be mathematically proven to be 'perfect' for each other - does it really matter when you're in love? But when Anthony, puts her in an impossible position, Sophie is left with no choice. Now she has just six weeks before her alien Match, Aubin, arrives. It's barely long enough to get over a broken heart, never mind feel ready to open it up again to someone else.
Aubin knows the situation with Sophie isn't ideal. It sucks that the Match he's been waiting for all his life probably doesn't want anything to do with him. Worse, from watching her videos, she seems like exactly the sort of person who shouldn't have been Matched with him. She's wealthy and likes her home comforts. He's a delivery pilot who spends his time travelling the far reaches of space. How could their auras ever be compatible? But when Sophie sends him a slightly tipsy message, he sees a side of her he hasn't seen in any of her videos. As the two of them correspond back and forth, Aubin realises that the real Sophie is someone he could fall hard for. But can he convince her to give up her perfect dream life with Anthony for a perfect reality with him?
A steamy science fiction romance featuring a heart-sore heroine who needs to rediscover herself and a cinnamon roll alien hero who's exactly the right guy to help her...
Aubin and Sophie was an unexpected treat. Anthony caused trouble but taking the test to find a mate but Sophie eventually went ahead and met Aubin. They were perfect for each other.
A pen pals romance! I haven’t read one of these in aaaaaages and, whilst the technology was much improved over posted letters, that’s what this was. It’s was so much fun!
The female lead’s slow transition in the face of a rude shock in her match; the male lead’s gentle patience, given his conviction/knowledge that the match system is always right. I enjoyed the slow build of the relationship over time and the discovery of new possibilities with each other and overcoming concerns about their future relationship.
This story was dual POV, well written and edited, and ever so sweet and steamy. I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
3.5⭐ This was not what I thought it would be at all, a slow burn, cute little romance that felt an awful lot like a contemporary romance. Aubin spoke and acted very human, save for his supernatural ability to manipulate "auras".
What I liked: Sophie and Aubin's epistolary-esque courtship. Her gradual realization that she changed herself to fit into her ex's mould. Her discovery of what real love meant and felt like. The author took time to develop these things, rather than just dump the concepts on the reader like chum.
What I didn't like: The writing was a bit awkward and unskilled. Aubin's power was described each time in a way that made me giggle instead of...well, whatever it was the author wanted me to feel. "Suction" and "pop" "drawing on her aura".
Overall, it was nice to read something that developed a relationship instead of just pushing two people together with insta-lust.
Sophie was in love and had the best relationship ever. Or so she thought. When her beloved took the Match Test without telling her, doubts started creeping in. Oh, he didn't take the test looking for a perfect match, he wanted her to take the test as well so that he can prove they were the perfect match. And as happens in most love stories, sometimes things oft go awry. Sophie was matched to Aubin, a cargo pilot who sailed the universe. This is a story of a male who grew up believing that the Match would find him his other half and a woman who doubted because she thought she had found the love of her life. How Sophie came around to understanding that what you think you have may not be exactly what you really need is the basis of this story. Extremely well-written by Annabelle Rex, Aubin will keep you not only entertained but will make you dream.
Sophie gathered her two best friends, Divya and Mia, to tell them the latest whim of her companion Anthony.
Anthony signed up for the intergalactic "Perfect Match" program in order to find the ideal "match", that is to say the companion who is predestined for him...
But Sophie refuses to do the same. And if Anthony wasn’t her "perfect match" after all, what would happen ?

Absolutely perfect reading !
I couldn’t let go of the novel until I finished it.
The story is gripping, the suspense is unbearable and the characters of Aubin and Sophie are very endearing.
Well done and thanks to the author.
I can’t wait to read the next volume in the series 🧡
This story has me wondering at the start about how this story would go because of the unusual start. This woman was a reluctant match participant. She was already in love with someone. Then her life got turned upside down because her partner took the match test. She felt she had no other choice then but to take the test herself. Luckily for her she did and was matched to an alien instead of her partner at the time it did t feel lucky, but once she rediscovered herself then she no longer doubted it. Good read
This novel was sweet and slow, with a cinnamon bun hero and a heroine going through some relationship drama. I feel like this novel would appeal to readers of sweet contemporary romances. I usually like sci-fi romances with high stakes, alpha heroes and/or heroines, and plenty of action and adventure elements. However, I really enjoyed this low stakes sweet romance, which just goes to show how skilled a writer the author is.
Charming story of breaking up with the wrong guy to find the right one
Sophie lives a familiar life, if albeit a bizarre one to some as that of a social media influencer. When her partner Anthony gets tested for his Match after viewers suggested it, he throws Sophie into the no win situation of not having the test of having the test and not matching Anthony. Proof that sometimes it's better not to ask questions you don't actually want the answer to.
It was lovely little SWEET story. I'm sorry to disagree with author but...... These books especially this one are in NO way STEAMY (unless your 12). If you added a wee bit more descriptive sex scenes THEN your books would be PERFECT! Right now they are just GOOD and that's because I'm an adult. But I gave you 5 stars anyway because well I really really loved the characters and their interactions!!
I enjoyed this continuation of the series. Glad to see it begin again with a fresh perspective. At first I want sure Sadie would grey overwhelming heartache but she did and give the Match a chance. They seemed to be perfect for each other. Nor my idea of alien mate but exactly what Sadie wanted.
This took Sleepless in Seattle to a whole new space level. Sophie and Anthony had a successful online blog until Anthony decided to go on the Intergalactic Match. He did not have a match and when Sophie matched with Aubin an Alien Anthony left Sophie. Sophie has wonderful friends who helps her back to herself and Aubin.
I have enjoyed reading these stories and of the adventures that they have feelings for each other it is ment for all those involved in finding love and mates being the stories to life.I would like to say thank you for your hard and fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm
This was my favourites of the series!! OMG I loved the slow build up, the longing, the yearning and then finally meeting !!! I would love to see more soul late Roman es between ordinary folks ! Farmers! Mechanics! Average everyday aliens!! There so many details about the world that come through when the story is about ordinary folks! I love it
I have enjoyed this entire series so far and this book is a great addition. I appreciated the fact that the heroine’s ex wasn’t cartoonishly evil. I also enjoyed a setting where Earth has pretty much accepted beings from other planets without a war or invasion.
I don't know how I missed this book but I really enjoyed the series. Annabelle Rex writes alien romance with great character development and awesome world building. Aubin was more of a regular guy, he wasn't a prince or even very outgoing. His soulmatch was perfect for him and I really felt like they balanced each other out. I look forward to reading more by Ms. Rex!
This a good story but, I was a little disappointed. In the previous 4 books there was excitement, strong individuals and some adversity. This story was rather bland. I wasn't that impressed.
This book is sweet, funny, and believable. The new group of friends is fun, and I'm looking forward to their stories. The Intergalactic Soulmates series is a great "feel good" read.
I’ll be honest I thought this book was going to be a constant fight to win Sophie, but it wasn’t, it was a very sweet getting to know you pen-pal style, I love how Patient yet determined Aubin is and I love how perfectly they match each other.
I really loved this book. They are apart most of the book and I got tired of her pinning after her loser ex that basically threw her under the bus, BUT somehow the author made this work and had me feeling all hopelessly romantic. this was a buy after reading book because it was so good.
This is my favorite and I loved the others! What a great story of two very "normal" people who build a relationship by writing messages and sending videos.
Great story of the alien match lottery. Bringing people who are perfect matches together across the expanse of the galaxy makes for a lovely romantic story.
I liked the characters in this one too. It was a nice story that actually had a message about not being somebody you are not in order to please somebody else.
Absolutely loved Aubin and Sophies relationship! Aubin is adorably dorky and sweet. It’s nice to read something other than a big growly alpha male for once
Parallels my recent divorce exactly but I had no friend to wisk me off to Portugal. Author nailed emotions, fears, and drama involved spectacularly! Hit bullseye to home. I’ll need to rewrite this review to better reflect the fact it made my « best of 2020 shelf « .
