He’s rescued people all over the world…but she’s the only one he can’t forget.

Department of Defense admin Hailey Fletcher never expects a suicide bomber at Bagram Airfield to cut her year-long assignment short. Nor does she expect a muscular Navy SEAL to come to her rescue. Her skin heats at his gentle touch, but it’s the smoldering way he looks at her that sends shivers racing down her spine.

Navy SEAL Grayson “Ghost” Douglass has rescued his fair share of civilians over the years, but the auburn-haired woman with piercing green eyes is the only one he can’t get out of his head. Weeks pass, and he reconnects with her in San Diego, knowing he must see if the sparks and chemistry between them can turn into something real.

Neither of them expects danger to have followed them home from Afghanistan—but the traitor from base behind the bombing knows Hailey can identify him, and he’ll stop at nothing to silence her forever.

Grayson won’t rest until he finds the man after her and until he convinces Hailey to be his once and for all.

Better than book 1. Still loads of spelling mistakes!

This book was definitely better than the first in the series. But there are still loads of spelling mistakes, missing words and incorrect words. Some of the plot didn’t make sense either.
Hailey is a dod contractor working for a general when a navy seal arrive in a mission to capture a terrorist. When Grayson first sees Hailey he’s captivated by her beauty. When there is a bombing at the base they realise that there is a traitor who is giving information to the enemy and he thinks that Hailey knows who he is.
I loved the romance, the sex was blah as usual, and some of the plot just didn’t make sense. Having said all that, I still love their characters and want to read the rest of the books. I just wish that they were written better.

Having read and loved all Makenna's previous books, this one didn't disappoint.
As usual, the male lead just makes you want a Seal of your own! Grayson and Hailey meet in rather unusual circumstances, with Grayson realising that this particular female is different to all his other conquests. There then follows lots of drama, with the relationship between the two characters, slowly intensifying, along with Hailey being enveloped into the close knit Seal family. Without giving the game away, the threat to Hailey was completely unexpected and not at all what I had thought. We were also lightly introduced to one of Hailey's friends, who I hope will soon get her own story and Seal hero of her own!
A really enjoyable book, I can't wait for the next one!

3.5 stars! Starts with a bang(s)

Makenna has written a satisfying tale of a protective Navy Seal Team, especially "Ghost", who saved Hailey from danger in Afghanistan! He returns home to San Diego and she is assigned to a posting in San Diego also!
The insta romance is delightful as are the rest of the team and related characters! The suspense is vague about a traitor making threats to the heroine, but it seems sketchy! The "big moment" was ho-hum with no real suspense at all!
An easy and romantic beach read. While some threads of the story remained unsolved, I'm sure they continue in subsequent books in the series!

Grayson and Haley.

Haley works for The Department of Defense at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan
In the Generals office where they met.

There attraction was their but slowly ignited slowly between them.

Grayson saved Haley when the base was bombed by terrorists
and she was injured.

They again met up in San Diego where the plot thickens.
You will have to read it to see what happens.

This was a great story and wonderful characters
I truly recommend this book.

I received this ARC and voluntarily left an honest review.

GREAT BOOK

I loved this book! I was very surprised that the main couple met while Greyson was on a mission. It just doesn't get any better than that. The reader gets the full thrust of the mission while seeing how the main female character is able to adapt. I loved the suspense as well. In this novel though, the reader gets to objectively see some of downsides of the military especially when having to find traitors among them. However, exposing that didn't lead to weakness but just more suspense! I highly recommend this novel.

Grayson aka Ghost and Hailey

Absolutely loved this story, characters were interesting, storyline flowed from beginning to end. Grayson aka Ghost was the male lead he was sweet, sexy, protective and caring. Hailey was a great female lead, strong, intelligent, beautiful and down to earth. This is the second story I have read by this author, the first book in the series was okay, so I was wondering if I would enjoy book two of the series. I am glad I took a chance and kept reading the series. It was worth it! Happy Reading!!

The story concept is there, the delivery doesn't hit the target.

I read the blurb and was hooked ' Neither of them expects danger to have followed them home from Afghanistan'

I can confidently give Seal's Embrace a solid 3 star review.
Yes, I finished it. I turned the last page disappointed.

IMO there is too much redundancy. At times, I thought I was rereading a passage only I wasn't.

Without writing variety the characters and story became stale.

IMHO The manuscript needs a heavy handed red pen.

SEAL's Embrace was exciting start to finish. It's filled with terrorist attacks, bombings, abductions and traitors. Amidst all that Grayson "Ghost" Douglass takes one look at Hailey Fletcher and is pretty much hooked. From Afghanistan to Coronado their relationship grows stronger by the hour. She brings out every protective instinct in him. Falling for one another so quickly feels right because when you know, you just know!

Slow burn from the minute they meet, Grayson and Hailey have quite the road to travel. Who is after Hailey enough to follow her from one country to another and then from one side of that country to another? Can Grayson protect her against this unknown. Loved this page turning, heart racing military romance suspense ❤❤❤ I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.

Fast paced and a wonderful book with great characters that will make your head spin. Grayson keeps trying to keep Hailey out of danger. They figure out there's a traitor in the General's Office and Hailey can identify him so he follows her around trying to kill her. Of course, Grayson keeps saving her. Lots of twists and turns. Enjoy!

Fair Story

I read the first book in this series, I loved it. I really like that each book could be read as a standalone. I wanted to really like this story. I enjoyed how protective Grayson was. Haily irritated me. She is twenty-eight and works as a civilian for the DOD and she acts like a total boob, cries all the time! What a wet blanket.

This novel was a different Makenna Jameison read.
The plot was intense in the classic 'who-done-it' style.
Readers enjoy the slow burn relationship the protagonists, Grayson and Hailey build, as the narrative spins to a very unpredictable conclusion.
I loved everything about this novel.

Very enjoyable!!

I loved Grayson and Hailey together. Their love at first sight started with attraction and built from there but was perfect. Great suspense but a few unanswered questions remain. We could all use a man like Grayson in our lives!!

Book series is well written but the constant use of “GD” is offensive.

The Book series is well written but the constant use of “GD” is offensive. The curse words are expected but using God’s name in vain excessively really is disturbing and offensive.
