This is a wonderful 40-day devotional book that I added to my week day devotional material, and benefited greatly from. The Author is insightful, gentle and has suffered. Some books on rest / self-care make you feel guilty, not so this one :) I was comforted and his words did help me in my rest.

Highly recommended to fellow Christians!

Short little devotional about needing to find rest and exploring what the Bible says about it. I would say nothing earth shattering but I did make sure I wrote out answers to the questions which helped. Each day I would then take the daily verse provided and read the whole chapter in the Bible as my daily reading.

Every day’s reading was so specific to what I needed to hear. I would pick up this devotional when I felt led by the Lord to do so, and I was always met with a thoughtful teaching that hit very deeply into what I was experiencing or needing. There is so much wisdom in this book. God created rest and called us to it - it’s time to set aside idols and return to the Lord! Thank you CZ!
