About the author

Rae is a daydreamer, nurse, bookworm, nature enthusiast, wife, momma, animal activist and an optimist. She has lived her entire life in NYC and loves to travel with her family. She believes that sweets should have a larger piece of the nutritional pyramid and that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the best TV shows ever invented. When she is not working as a nurse in her community, she can either be found reading, writing, or taking a walk while listening to music. She has been writing books in her mind for as long as she can remember but decided that maybe there were others out in the world that would find joy in the words she would put down on the page.

Holy this book almost had me in tears, all the pain Roth and Ruby went thru in their short lives. Roth and Ruby were so different from eachother, the back story helped to see where both came from and how they became what they were. The pain Roth went thru tho i felt that thru those pages. Great read forsure and holy crap that ending, I need more NOW, cause that can not be happening.

This novella in the WOD world is amazing. If you’ve read the series you know who Roth is. Reading his story and why he has done what he has done is heartbreaking. I even felt sympathetic towards Ruby, and she is one sadistic chick.
Fantastic story, but that ending....OMG. There is some stuff going down with the WODMC and I need to know more right now. Fantastic read.

Holy gob shite this series just keeps getting better! It's got plot twists you know are coming but have no idea what it will be until the reveal. But, now we are learning how the real scum bags are covering their tracks. At least it best be that way!

OMG.....Roth: A Wings of Diablo MC Novella by Rae B. Lake was full on with all of the darkness, violence and demons within this story about Roth and his sister Ruby. We finally see how these two tormented, abused characters came to be as we get the back story where Ink left off. Roth and Ruby were abused by their father and a drugged out mother, after both were beaten and sexually assaulted, Roth had no choice but to protect Ruby once she killed her father. On the run he and Ruby lived on the streets to survive, but all of the demons from Ruby's past makes her into this blood loving killer. Roth thinking he is protecting her, finds he is leading down the same path but his sister is out of control with her lust for death. The story shows how he helped Ink and Angel to escape, his interaction with Siren and him getting all of the information needing to take his sister and husband down as he forms a plan with the WOD. As the club takes out his sister and husband, Roth goes on his own and decides with the info he has to contact Eve's Fury as these bad ass women have one goal, protect the women who are being bought and sold. Now Roth and Vexx will soon have a connection that Roth did not see coming as Vexx saves him from ending his life and finds that he needs to forgive himself for the past and work with her and her club to get to the other slave owners. Now they will form a connection that is full of passion and emotion. When they venture to take down the men and save the women who are begin held in trailers, they see on the board all of the names of the men who are buying these women. One name sticks out Wire from WOD, could Wire have betrayed them? Vexx is outraged, as we find Wire bound and about to be tortured. Now we are left with more questions needing to be answered, will Roth kill him? Is Wire really involved or is he being set up? Rae... only you can get your readers so involved as we delve into this dark, gritty, steamy and violent world of the Wings of Diablo MC and Eve's Fury. Now we are left we bated breath for what will be coming next. This is a must read!!

I absolutely cringed when I read this. The series is filled with wrong turns and absolution that is in the right state of mind with a left being on the wrong side of life! Ok you probably have no idea what I am talking about but think about it? This is a remarkable series and this story will have you on your knees begging for something that you know will come only to have it become a destruction to your soul! Rae has brought it! You will not look at any of her stories from this point forward the same! Heck you might decide that this series is just not for you! Have faith, it is dark and you will find yourself wanting to scream, cry and probably throw your reading device at least once throughout this story if not more! Be patient and have faith like I said. She has garnered a following that will stay true to her. She brings death and destruction but with it she brings light and happiness. Trust me, pick this series up and you will not be sorry that you did! Get to know her characters as they are the ones that will guide you! I recommend this series and this novella, as you will run the gamut of emotions some you will feel with your whole heart and some will make you cringe with hatred. But if you give this a roll you will NOT BE SORRY THAT YOU DID!

**Trigger Warning- yes there is abuse all across the board. The discussions of these scenes are harsh** On that note here is my review.

Okay I love reading crazy and dark books especially if you give me something with trigger warnings. I love to see how the character can develop through out the book. This one had me crying and squirming a bit. The journey that you take with Roth is a rough one. The things he endured and done you will see how much of a survivor he is. However, he did not anticipate the route his sister would have taken. Then you see that he is on his own and everything is looking good til it was not. I do wonder whatever happened to his wife. Can a promise be kept and will he see redemption? Definitely a lot to take in and hope to see where his story goes.

Roth knows that his involvement with Ruby and her husband was not by choice. Ruby was his sister and he failed her from the abuse of their father, so when they got older he refused to leave her side even though she was a psycho and enjoyed the torturing and brutal world that her and her husband enjoyed so much. When Roth sees Ink & Angel he can't not help them because he will not let Ruby hurt a child because it brings back a lot of memories and promises that Roth tried to keep. Now that he has helped and betrayed his sister he is determined to make everything right. He's not sure how or if it is even possible but he isn't going to give up. We also get to meet the bad @ss ladies of Eve's Fury MC when they team up with Roth. There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this book so make sure you keep reading so this mystery will continue to unravel. Happy Reading!!!

Holy smokes! This book is fantastic. It is a dark book. Roth has a driving need to seek out redemption. He doesn't think he can be forgiven. Is he right? He has a past of being abused along with his sister,Ruby. Can they overcome their past or does what happened to them as children rule their life as adults? Vexx and her crew fight for the weak, abused, etc. Will she join him on his mission? What will happen when they find out all is not what they thought? This book is fast paced and will hold you captivated as you read to find out what happens next!! The twists and turns will make your jaw drop! The truths revealed will have to going no way! Check it out and see how this one turns out! It is worth it!!!

What a dark and twisted ride that was! Roth story will break your heart. Ruby and her brother Roths childhood shaped the people they became. both on a path of destruction, Roth decides he must start a new and make amends for his past. this book has you hooked from the first page! its fast paced filled with violence, action, suspense and more that keep you on your toes. well written and truly a book that makes you think beyond just the characters within a great addition to Rae's books and the Wings of Diablos series.

This book will hook you from start to end. The story starts when Roth and his sister suffer through abuse at the hands of their father. As they grow up on the streets he feeds his sisters psycho needs. Each chapter follows years he stays at his sisters side hating what she became. Then the story picks up after Ink's book. He knows he needs help but unsure about approaching the Wings he turns to another MC. With them secrets are learned allies become enemies or not. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

This book is filled with dark and twisted...abuse and graphic. This story is about Roth and his sister and their path from the abuse that they suffered at the hands of their father. Ruby is twisted Roth feeds into it but decides that he must atone for the thing he has done. This is a fast novella to read but will have you on the ends of your seat waiting for what comes next. Excellent addition to the Wings of Diablo MC series.

Wow! I have to say this story is not for the faint of hearts. It starts out intense and only draws your emotions into hyper overdrive. Roth and his sister endured things no children should and as a result of their upbringing, it set the tone for their adult life. Roth had an aha moment that caused him to change his tune in the end and I am happy for him. This story may set of triggers for some so read with that in mind.

This book starts fast and stays that way to the last word. It is graphic but not excessively so. It features violence against everyone and has triggers so be prepared.
Roth and Ruby survive a horrible childhood, he comes out OK she is damaged, this is their story.
I was so captivated I did not even take a bathroom break, but read straight through.
Loved it.

I don't even know where to begin with this one. Roth had me ugly crying pretty much from the beginning and had me an absolute emotional mess. Roth and Ruby's start was so, so tragic and heartbreaking.  Every little part of their journey drew me in and clung to me like a second skin. The things these two had to endure was just horrendous and even worse what they became.  This book is so emotionally charged and surprises like you wouldn't believe jump out from all sides.

Wow where to begin. I will say this isn’t an easy read. It’s an emotional dark twisted ride that you aren’t sure if it is even possible to get through. This is a sign of a brilliant author. Roth’s history with Ruby isn’t happy at all and at times you try to find redeeming qualities in some of the characters. There are lots of twists and turns and surprises. If you have read this series you cannot miss this book. Another amazing story by this exceptional story teller.

This a very emotional charged book. The story starts out with Roth and his sister Ruby being abused in more ways than you can imagine. Ruby and Roth are together living on the streets until Ruby finds her own twisted man. Roth tries to go normal but the loss of someone close to him doesn't help him. Then he decides to fight his wrong doings. This is a graphic book and does have triggers but one heckava ride. Emotionally charged but kleenex.

Holy crap holy crap holy crap for a novella Roth's story is action packed and I need so much more. From beginning to end I needed to know what was going to happen next. I pray the way things look to headed that I'm wrong on so many levels. This novella is a must read for any fan of Wings of Diablo MC. Well played Rae you have definitely confused me and I can't go see how this all plays out.

This the back story of why Ruby was the way she was, and why her brother thought her had to protect her at all costs.
It was an intense read from the first page until the last. It showed Roth is trying to atone for his and his sisters sins, the only way he knows how.
I cant wait for more because i know we haven’t heard the last from him. Hold on its gonna get bumpy.

WOW!!! Loved this story!! Roth hits you right from the start!! This story is action packed and out there. Roth is really a good hearted soul just looking out for his sister. This story is not a touch, love story with all the feels but a disturbing look into abuse and power. Compelling is the word to use to describe this book.

No one could have warned me that I would be needing tissues? This is a really emotional read between siblings Roth and Ruby and I loved it. From the first page this is an all action dark and twisted story so as I said grab the box and hold on.

This was a short story but packed one hell of punch. I devoured it in one sitting.

It wasn’t for the faint hearted. Roth’s story is dark and twisted, and touches on subjects that could be sensitive for some people. I had my kindle in a death grip from beginning to end.

Can’t wait to read more by this author.

Finally we get Roth’s complete back story and damn, what a story it is! Full of twisted-ness you only see in your nightmare, we see the inner works of Ruby and her husband’s ring of dementedness. Roth always there though not always in agreement. The ending of Roth’s story has me praying that him and Vexx have found incorrect information about Wire... guess we’ll find out!

I have no acceptable words for this book …. This book literally left me breathless, the last pages stunned me to silence…. Must read… I need to know what I read has an acceptable explanation, I need more.
4.5 Stars for me only because the turn of events have me speechless and quite angry and it left me on a cliff of emotion.

To watch these two abused Children grow up to be vicious twisted adults was hard, her did keep a tiny bit of sanity, humanity I guess but she had gone completely night helped by meeting a man as twisted and evil as she who encouraged her. Roth's story links with ink , I'm never going to fully trust this man

Roth is in his way to fix what his sister done along the way getting help from Vexx and her MC. So many questions unanswered. Roth revealed that Wire the president of WOD is involved along with others he is associated with, this serious is getting more and more interesting. What is the truth , what is lies. Who do they trust.

Well this book explains why Ruby is the way she is and her brother Roth protects her, but it doesn't excuse what she does. This book for me was hard to read and I'm surprised at the ending who is involved. There's no happy ending here.
