Pay close attention as you work through all three of the stories in this series. It all matters in this compelling, grim look at a nightmarish glimpse of the future.
The Silo series cannot be allowed to just end here! With the Silo group, the Blackstone group and Fletcher's bunch ready for WWIV, the explosion has got to be coming! Amazing characters follow a convoluted storyline as told by two seasoned storytellers create an exciting series which cannot be allowed to just stop, to run out of steam, to collapse under the weight of unfinished business. The story must be allowed to find its conclusion!
This is an amazing tale taking place by disparate groups trying to survive the destruction of the planet after The Event - when hundreds of volcanoes erupted at once and the vented clouds of ash brought a nuclear winter to our planet. The few survivors scavenging the remains for food and tools. YOU CANNOT LET THIS SERIES END LIKE THIS! Come on! Get it together. Shouldn't take much, just another 2 or 3 books to finish!
I really enjoyed this series. I loved the plot, the characters and everything in between. I loved that this series was written in multiple POV’s. The characters were unique, the women were strong and confident. The banter between the characters was actually quite fun, even between the bad guys. After the “Event” it’s every man, woman, child and other things for themselves. Trying to determine which group is the strongest, smartest or luckiest is anyones guess. The only problem I had was this, even though the ending was great, there was still a key aspect of this story that didn’t actually close. When I got close to the end I actually started looking for book 4 (which doesn’t exist btw) because there was more story to be told. 🤷🏻♀️ Gary Tiedemann is a new narrator to me and I’m already looking for more of his work. The way he performed these characters was brilliant. It was easy to tell who was speaking just but the way he portrayed each character. Well done! This was a box set books 1-3. I highly recommend this series!
End of the world as we know it plot and rebuilding is 'only the strongest survive.' Profanity, perversion, and gore but outside of that it is a pretty good book as are the 1 and 3 books in the series. And it ends (as do all of this author's work) with a lead in to next novel and, sometimes, a satisfying partial ending...without that 'not quite a cliffhanger' and all of ADULT content (?!?) it would have been a four star rating.
I thought the first book was good. Liked the story and were it was heading. Book 2 was ok but book 3 went off the rails. So there was NO security guarding Nirvana? There were other parts of the book were I was rolling my eyes. Really??? Then there was the ending and that was BAD! I do NOT recommend this series. Book 3 was poorly written.
This is probably one of the worst series I’ve ever read. The fact I read all three is embarrassing, but I had to suffer through them to see if they got any better. NOPE! The writing is juvenile and the plot is basic. The characters are also incredibly annoying. The protagonist is supposed to be an adult woman but acts like a 12 year old. Don’t waste your time.
I read this last book because I couldn't find spoilers online. It was a continuation of the childlike tactics from the second edition and the continuous repeated phrases that every character from every seperate group used were annoying. Some characters even gain unreal intuition in order to advance plot. The climax was a let down
To be honest I don't know how to do reviews However I read all 3 books Great stories all stand-alone However that being said I'd like to see #4And maybe even 5 to finish out the series There's several stories yet to be told My opinion only.
Answered things i wanted out of book one finally, but is it just me, it ended rather abruptly. I think more could have been given to the characters and the event and made for a more dramatic story.
It’s a good series, tho it gets long in the tooth about back dating events up to current time in the book. With so many characters, at times it was hard to follow with all the back dating. But I truly hope he does more series on Silo, invested now on the characters who survived, what happens to the scab women and especially Nomad, who’s obviously smarter than what people are led to believe
