Forces are our shield and weapon. Our friend and teacher. A universal language. Understand them and you’ll understand the art of cultivation. Master them all and you’ll reach the Heavens. Strive for perfection and they’ll allow you to change the world.
The Great Tournament had brought out the strongest and the most promising cultivators of the younger generation. However, fate, as always, cared not for the affairs of the mortal world and continued on its business. The Indestructible Tower was opened soon after the Tournament, and the pursuit for power turned into a massacre of the Celestial Plateau’s elite. But, a small group of six people still managed to escape. Unfortunately, they ended up in a completely new world. Will they be able to figure out how to return? Will Kai finally get a chance to deal with his past in order to rise even higher? Where will this road lead him, and can he make it to the finish line? For in the merciless and cruel world of cultivation, where you are isn’t important. The only thing that matters is power!
I think I’m done with this series. Let’s set aside the embarrassing lack of editing with words like “tho” instead of though, and “repapered” instead of reappeared. The first three books were mostly cohesive, but in this last one, it seems like all the rules are out the window. Almost every conflict we rewrite rules to allow the main character to pull rabbits out of his hat. Got an insurmountable obstacle? Oh well i forgot to mention about this one time our character trained this thing exactly for this situation. Unsolvable problem? Dont worry, our main character has an item in his spatial ring which is perfect for it.
This was pretty boring. Chapters of tedious over-clarification about minute differences between magic definitions. People you don’t care about turn up and then die. Apart from the bad guys who remain frustratingly unkillable. They’ll be turning up spouting generic cliches about revenge for a while yet, it seems.
Again this could be good. But it's not. I understand that english is not the authors first language. Some of the word choices and excessive use of contractions demonstrate that. But really this just poorly written. Just like the previous books, weighed down by exposition and the author 'telling' the story.
I can not wait for the next installment in this gripping story! Please hurry lol! The rate at which Kai has grown as a person is just right and that is so hard to find.
This was just huge disappointment from all previous books in this series in every single way and whole a-team/good guys didn't die and worked out for them always was frankly ridiculous.
Huge drop in quality of writing and dull and boring this whole book was if next book anything at all like this one I will not be reading anymore.
At least ending looked like mc will be solo travelling and improving self in how book ended, and hopefully will be travelling alone and not with usless groups. (Brother should of died would been great in many ways for story.)
This book was fun to read, just like the previous books. However, I did get tired of the bad guys always surviving “fatal” injuries in the fight scenes. I mean, if the injuries are described as fatal for example, then it doesn’t make sense for them to go in fighting for another 3 days
While I thoroughly enjoyed books 1-3, this one took a slight step back. Still a decent showing, but the story arc was a little disappointing and felt rushed. However, the series is still a good cultivation series. Hopefully book 5 will elevate the series further and not repeat the decline.
I really enjoyed this book, even though the first 50% seemed like they were written by a different author. I was worried when I saw how short it was, but unlike Aleron Kong this author knows how to progress a story!
This book gives a lot of information and the universe and lore and then, like and good book, leaves you wanting to know more. How to find answers in the next book
I did like that fact that the story does follow back and tie up any loose ends but I didn't like the progression of the leveling. It seemed disorganized and sporadic.
I think I should have done a reread of the first three books because I couldn't keep the names straight. Still great fights and progression and a whole lot of deus ex machina
If you like this type of martial art fantasy, this book series is a good read. Strong main character and storyline development makes the reading fun and keeps your interest.
Why do the villains always win at the end of every book its such great story and then ends utterly scrap and disappointing damn it ill read one more book if it ends the same I'm done
Called it quits after this book as it was getting repetitive. Everything before was great, but something in this book kind of just pulled me out of my interest in the series.
This series keeps getting better. Bravo sir. Can’t wait to continue on the series, problem there is the more I read the closer to the end of the series I come :(
