There’s an interesting idea in here, but the dialogue and characters don’t support it enough for it to work. A lot of the dialogue is on the nose, and doesn’t trust the audience to do the work to connect the dots and grasp the message of the play. Could be an interesting play to put on, but didn’t grab me like some of the others I’ve read this year.
